A slow burn beautifully acted that touches the heart!

The reason. I love Japanese dramas is because they (in general) carry so much more weight then their Korean counterpart. Whereas Korean dramas are like a good dessert that look pretty and taste good, Japanese dramas are more like a main course.

Beyond Goodbye is a slow burn that tugs at your heart slowly as the characters unfold and evolve. The back drop in Hawaii and Hokkaido provides the right balance between hot and cold, and right and wrong! The chemistry between the two main leads is really really good too!

A solid Jdrama that hits the mark mostly. If you're new to Jdramas than you might not like Beyond Goodbye, because it takes time to unfold and care about the characters. But if you give it a chance and like a developing story, then you will enjoy this ride. Just be warned that it's not flashy like Kdramas which I love also. If you want a break from dessert then try this main course!

Romantic and Stands the test of time!

I just finished re-watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho after many years as its now on Netflix now. The story, acting and chemistry between the two leads still stands the test of time! It's a romantic love story with a cuteness and charm that is getting harder to find in today's more high production and glitzy Kdramas.

Lee Seung-gi was just 23 & Shin Min-a was just 26 back in 2010, and were rising starsI This Kdrama brought them over the top and to the forefront in major stars in Korea.

The OST is beautiful and matches so well with the story. The bond between the the leads along with the pacing and throwing in the ost at key pivotal moments just fits perfectly.

Shin Min-a has some major hits and is still going strong with hit after hit gathering an impressive resume of great dramas she is a part of. But My Girlfriend is Gumiho is special because of its charm and romance for style that fits so well.

With so many Gumiho and nine tail fox dramas out there, this one is right up there, and the best in my opinion. if you haven't seen it, now is the perfect time to catch this timeless love story that won't disappoint the hopeless romantic in all of us!

This drama had so much potential

I really wanted to like this drama more and it had so much potential to be great, but for me it fell short. The story never fully developes and the reasons the male lead had for not getting together early on was kind of ridiculous! This could have been a classic, but instead it was a bit of a struggle to finish.

There were too many moments when I would shake my head for their reasoning ti not get together. It just didn't make sense! Really great locations, shooting in Canada and Italy with high production values, but that wasn't enough because after all... its all about the story!
