🔹 This drama pulls you into a fantasy rabbit hole, leaving you five episodes in before you know it
🔹 I hoped the main couple’s relationship would click, but I was left wanting more
🔹 Dai Gao Zheng kept me invested with his intensity, but much of the time I missed the give-and-take you expect from an OTP
🔹 Scenes that should have tugged at my heart only half-delivered because the chemistry did not always land
🔹 That said, if you like a moody lead and a hard-driving plot, you will still find highs to enjoy

🔹 Dai Gao Zheng as Chong Yang: His understated intensity worked for me, showing the pain of an immortal quietly fighting his own loneliness
🔹 He Shi as Ji Nan Xing: At times, she revealed real vulnerability, but overall, the performance did not fully land emotionally. I wanted more depth and a stronger connection in key scenes with Chong Yang
🔹 Mr. Meng brought some tension, while the rest of the supporting cast mostly blended into the background without strong standout moments
