I completely agree about the women in the novel. I guess what I’m saying is that Xie Wei is not nearly as bad as some of the MLs in C novels that is adapted into a drama and hope they don’t change him too much. For example Tantai Jin (till the end of the moon) in novel was far more brutal than the drama. The producers made him into a sympathetic character. Also Luo Yin Fan (the journey of Chong zi) was completely down played in the drama. Both MLs in the novel had a very toxic relationship with the FLs. But I guess it’s easier to stomach cruelty and brutality in novels than on screen. I just can’t wait to see the onscreen chemistry of this drama. It is going to be 🔥Both Bai Lu and Zhang Linghe can really kiss.

I’m the opposite. I actually found his character interesting. He’s a paranoid psychopath and really could care less about the plight of others unless it benefits him. He’s incredibly intelligent and yet is completely emotionally stunted. As jealous as he is of anyone who spends time with the FL , he doesn’t try to kill them because he doesn’t want to hurt her. He doesn’t coddle the FL and treat her like a damsel in distress unlike the other 2 guys. He loves her intelligence and bravery. My favorite is his petty jealousy. It’s pretty funny. Hope they don’t change his character too much in the drama…

I agree. I love the leads’ characters. They are multi dimensional.

Oh man I hope he doesn’t cut the kiss scenes because there are some steamy ass kiss scenes in the novel. But maybe censorship for historical dramas might be more conservative.

I’ve noticed that often times dramas that have the same actor/actress usually airs very close together probably to take advantage of the actor’s or actress’ popularity at that time. So hopefully soon.

38 episodes doesn’t seem enough considering the book was fairly long.

I love how scary the ML is. He is freaking insane and yet I’m drawn into his character. I love that both leads are incredibly smart and are gray characters. It makes them more interesting. A great many will like the 2nd lead because of his goodness but to me then there’s not much room for character growth then…

I just finished the book. I am so looking forward to this drama. I hope they do the novel justice. Despite how psychotic the ML character is, I hope they don’t change it. There’s something about him that just draws you in. His character is much like Ling Bu Yi in LLtG but more vicious. This is going to be a slow romance. But so worth the wait.

I found this one was easier to understand.

Absolutely right. She’s got a lot on her shoulders. She has seen the ending of the world if the Devil God rises. Did everyone forget the beginning of the drama? It would be out of character for her to just throw everything to the wind and be with Cang Jiu min.

Because no matter what the Devil God will be reawakened. I think she’s trying to practice the Heartless Way in preparation for the battle ahead. She can’t exactly do that if she continues their relationship.
