She accepted the idea that her own blood related brother is dead? Se Joo wasn’t answering his phone and all she did was shrug and say that his phone must be dead. Se Joo didn’t come to the train station on the day he told he’d come and all Hee Joo does is shrug. When Jinwoo leaves Granada, she ditches her friends, runs to the train station and cries after a guy whom she’s only known for a week and has been acting like a damn lunatic and has been rude to her and she breaks down and cries for HIM?!?! Then Hee Joo and her family comes back to Korea WITHOUT underage See Joo and damned e-mails are enough. Didn’t they miss Se Joo even one bit to want to talk to him on phone or video call? Hee Joo has an inkling that an impostor is sending e-mails. What she does is keep replying those emails and not even look for Se Joo. But she thinks about the CEO all the time. She’s really desperate for that dick

Title Memories of the Alhambra Spoiler
Positives first: the game part is interesting. Now negatives: FYI I have nothing against PSH but her character is so stupid and irritating. I hate Sang Beom but it’s not surprising at all why he thinks the entire situation is absurd as HELL and he must be really wondering what the hell is going on and why someone who used to be his friend is turning into an absurd lunatic. You see, Hee Joo cried more for Jinwoo than her own grandma who fainted after she learned that Se Joo’s been missing for a year. Hee Joo and her family are surprisingly nonchalant about their own underage family member missing for ONE YEAR. Hee Joo stays worrying all day long about Jinwoo but doesn’t worry for her own brother like that. Hee Joo seems so desperate for Jinwoo’s d*ck oml. Dating is the last thing I’d be thinking about if I learned that my own brother was missing, lost inside an AR game. All she does is make guitars, calls random nobodies if Se Joo’s contacted them (as if he wouldn’t first try to reach his family) and worry about that CEO. We have no freaking idea why the hell she even likes him in the first place so I assume she feels intensely sexual about him to not even look for her own brother. If she really cared for Se Joo, why isn’t she extracting the truth out of Jinwoo and trying to play that game and look for her own damned blood related brother by playing that game and reaching the level 100?????? Instead she’s dressing up, going to dinners with Jinwoo, Doesn’t she even worry one bit if her brother is eating properly??????? Statistics say if a person has been missing more than a year, they are most likely dead. She knows people died in that game, including Se Joo’s crackhead friend. But noooooo she chooses to cancel her flight and actually believe Jinwoo that he’s alive just ’cause he said so, Jinwoo who’s an alcoholic and most likely on Xanax. And Hee Joo hasn’t even once seen or played that game but she believes him.

Well, if it wasn’t true, why hasn’t his agency still sued them for defamation of character? See, nothing ever disappears from the internet, no matter how much you whitewash and cover up. So if it wasn’t true, why haven’t they still sued the women for defamation which is a serious crime, especially for public figures who rely on their image? This ''internet persona’’ and his other alleged ex-girlfriends came forward and said that he has a habit of cheating and having one night stands with acquittances after which he blocks them on his social media and phone. He allegedly had *consensual* sex and cheating is no crime so he didn’t do anything illegal. Neither is talking about recreational drugs a crime. The only issue here is the moral aspect of his deeds and morality is a subjective issue.
So why did people get turned off by this issue? Because he acted in a drama where he played the role of an aloof guy who secretly loved his childhood friend to the point of not being able to live without her, a perfect boyfriend material. After this scandal arose, many fans’ bubbles were burst when the reality of him possibly cheating with pump-and-dumps and allegedly calling his co-star ordinary looking hit the fans hard. Most people wouldn’t have minded him having sexual relationships, he’s after all an adult with desires just like anyone of us. The biggest issue here was how he allegedly lamented how the fans who approach him are annoying to him and don’t pass his standards to which the ’’internet persona’’ replied that it’s because his other half in the drama was a regular looking girl to which he replied that dramas like to cast regular looking, unattractive girls so that the general audience can relate to the protagonist and fantasize about getting a perfect guy.
To be honest, if this is all true, the only people he should apologize to are the girlfriends he cheated on. He doesn’t owe fans anything and he didn’t commit a crime either. His alleged comments about her co-star….. well he’s free to have opinions, however it is extremely disrespectful and a low blow to any co-worker to learn that this is how your colleague sees you as.
These are all, however, allegations and speculations based on a few women’s accounts. Nothing has been confirmed or denied. So basically his company is hush hush about the entire situation. That said, his fans shouldn’t be too delusional and try to whitewash him just because they can’t accept the possibility of him being a low class jerk. So if it’s not true then I’m sure he’ll sue them and the truth will be revealed. Amidst all of this, I feel sorry for the ex-girlfriends who allegedly got cheated on, and above all, the co-star who was a major contributor to the success of ALSB but then allegedly got disrespected by a co-worker.. I really do hope this isn’t true, not for his sake but for his ALSB co-star’s sake, who did not deserve to be dragged to this issue and disrespected. It must have been humiliating for her....

I really want to know how you can see this drama as boring?? like give me some points... because from my point…
Okay. Here it goes. The premise: It’s a well built world where gods, ghosts and immortality exist in the ever expanding spacetime. Seeing the future and changing the current to change the future, stopping the time, all of them exist in this drama, which was definitely something to look forward to.
Eun Tak: we have a 17-year-old high school girl who is revealed to have been born against all odds and due to that fact, she can see and speak to ghosts. Her mother dies after which she is sent to her neglectful and violent auntie who only took her in for her insurance deposit which is hidden and that too by a ghost. No one knows when and how Eun Tak’s mother hid it when she was supposedly living in states and she definitely didn’t see ghosts. The story is extremely slow, we see Eun Tak crushing on Goblin whom she keeps calling ahjusshi (=uncle). This might turn some people on (this does in porn) but to me it was utterly creepy and unnecessary. High schooler who follows this unknown man around and calls herself his bride just because she heard some random ghosts telling her that she’s a Goblin’s wife. The bottom line is, an abused and neglected girl, who did pretty well in school, found a much older man and longed for attraction, adoration and attention. Things she couldn’t get growing up.
Goblin: A man who fought in wars ONLY to protect his own people, got a punishment of nearly 1000 years of immortality and existence as a goblin because he committed a crime of killing, even if it was for self defense. He lives all those years and eras only to be buried in the soil of Canada, a country that did not even exist that many years and were discovered only by the First Nation people and later on vikings until the age of ’’discovery’’. He is depicted as a serious man, a warrior, but he acts like a complete despo idiot all the time in front of Eun Tak. He dies after his bride pulls off the sword after he saves his bride from a foe from the past who has turned into a ghoul because otherwise Eun Tak will die as she was not even supposed to live. Goblin has no love interests in this wide world until he saves a fetus in a woman’s womb who grows up to be his love interest like WTF?! Goblin was an annoying, whiny fart who despite living for centuries has gained no wisdom, especially the way he treated Reaper after he found out that Reaper was Wang Yeo
Grim Reaper and Sunny: Interestingly, Grim Reaper was the only character that was actually interesting. The writer was completely tone deaf to write that the greatest sin a man can do is suicide. As if suicidal people don’t already live in a hell. Sunny, an utterly one dimensional and pointless character.
Overall: the chemistry was non-existent and super annoying, I couldn’t root for any other character except Reaper and the ghost unnies. In fact the only touching moments in this drama was when in one episode a doctor died saving a patient because he was severely overworked, and when he met the Reaper, his last words were that he was happy that the patient survived. The other touching moment was when a daughter ghost who had died, urged Eun Tak to tidy up her room and fill the fridge so that her mom wouldn’t break her heart again knowing how pitiful life her daughter lived before dying. All in all, the script writer Kim Eun Sook is a crackhead and should never be allowed to write subpar dramas that only succeed because of the actors and the hype. Also, Kim Go Eun deserved better.

The cast doesn't confirmed yet.Rumor and Most of the chineses sites said Shen Yue will be the Female lead and…
China doesn’t tend to do ’'love teams’’ so it’s not very likely that Shen Yue and Dylan Wang would be even rumored to act in this drama. Dylan Wang is going to be in a period/wuxia drama next and what C-mooncakes have been saying, Shen Yue is filming a movie.
On The Hymn of Death Dec 28, 2018
What could have been passionate and heart-wrenching story, fell short in way too many ways. The main leads had no chemistry whatsoever -it was like watching two people that were talking their words of love to a ghost between them because they seemed to have absolutely no connection. Especially Lee Jong Suk’s performance was dismal, and one dimensional. Shin Hye Sun tried her best but her portrayal left much t desire for too. The dialogue was weak and there was no passion.

I would like to add some input on your third point about Hee Joo's incessant crying. Initially I had the same…
Actually, I hate that a woman HAS to be spunky, feisty, tough woman who yells and beats up people and isn’t allowed to be emotional or delicate in order to be considered a strong woman. For example Elinor Dashwood was very stoic and Marianne Dashwood was artistic and emotional and foolish. Were either of these women weak? No. Both were strong in their own ways. The key here is the strong characterization. They had depth. Hee Joo can be emotional. The problem is that there is no logic behind the character. What purpose does she serve in that drama, other than ’’change'' Jinwoo’s jaded heart? Is Hee Joo just Jinwoo’s entity? I expected Hee Joo to be a character of her own. Well, we’re half way through and things could still change but right now Hee Joo feels like a prop.

I’m getting kind of bored already. I think I expected too much and it ended up not going quite well.. Love Park…
I kinda agree with you although there’s nothing inherently wrong in being stubborn or sensitive. Hee Joo kinda screams ’self-esteem issues’ and that issue could have stemmed from her difficult life and childhood when she was uprooted from her home only to fulfill her fathers dreams. The drama could have focused more on that aspect and build up her characterization more instead of focusing on the most unnecessary things. Too many scenes of Jinwoo going into public toilet to retrieve an imaginary sword, too many battles, but no character development. Hee Joo’s character is also illogical. While smart enough to bust Jinwoo for lying to her and confronting about See Joo, it still took her way too long to ask about her own godtdamn blood related, barely adult little brother. The yelling and crying in the rain and then hopping into this strange man’s car who has known that Se Joo has been missing for a year and making his assistant pretend like Se Joo, that is gullible of her. All in all, the writing of these characters is super lame, although the visuals and the story seems great. Alas, we have 8 more episodes left so anything could happen in that time but to get viewers root for a drama, you need to have a strong, coherent base, which MotA doesn’t have

You’re nothing but a troll towards PSH. You utter the same crap wherever you comment. Crying is not a sign of…
''Korea is a male-centric society. Their biggest box office draws are fronted by male actors. The highest paid stars are also of the male gender. MOA’s storyline is about gaming and most gamers are male. Women in this drama may be plot devices but isn’t that a reflection of this drama’s country of origin?’’ Yes, Korea is an extremely patriarchal society. Male actors are paid more, true. The biggest box office draws are fronted by male actors, isn’t this the case in every other country? Male actors get paid more, male actors are bigger stars, male actors get more opportunities. Whereas female actors get paid less and the roles written for them are dismal most of the times. Does it mean it’s okay? Does it mean I have to be okay with how this drama portrays women? Strong woman doesn’t mean that they beat up people and never cry. THAT IS NOT WHAT I EVEN REMOTELY IMPLIED. This drama probably won’t even pass the Bechdel -test. I literally said that PSH showed her potential in Doctors where her character at least had some integrity. All this was trashed by this trashy writing of female characters in Memories of the Alhambra. Learn to take criticism. This is a very valid critique. There are plenty of female engineers and gamers even though that field is still male dominated. This drama could have been a pioneer in portraying intelligent female game developers, who exist but no one knows because they are never shown in the media. Hell, the women don’t even have to be engineers, game developers or any of those things. They still could have been cohesive and multi dimensional characters instead of revolving around Jinwoo’s dick and perpetuating the age old Madonna vs. whore theme. Believe or not but Korea is full of educated, working women. It’s about time women get better characterization in films and dramas, which reflects the actual reality.
PS. the reason I don’t think Hee Joo and Jinwoo match is because they are very incompatible for the reasons I mentioned in my original comment. And to add on that, their whole relationship is based on lies and deception and quite frankly, Jinwoo doesn’t respect Hee Joo enough, otherwise he would have had backbone and he would’ve been honest with her about Se Joo and his intentions of buying her hostel. He even tells this straight to Hee Joo’s face that she was gullible enough to believe him. Imagine, he abused her trust and good will like that and the writer expects us to root for him. He’d have to make up for his idiocy big time before I can forgive his behavior towards Hee Joo and even then, she deserves better. Both Jinwoo and Sang Beom, who call her dumb and gullible, are trash and Hee Joo deserves better.

I agree with your every word. No idea why on earth she's so popular when there are far more talented and deserving…
I mean, yeah, her face irritates me for some reason. She can’t immerse herself into her character so she seems to have the same expressions and mannerisms no matter what drama she acts in. Just when I thought she made a slight improvement in Doctors.. it turns out that she deliberately chooses badly written characters (seriously, she seems to have no ambition) and she can’t even save them like a brilliant actress would be able to save a bad script with an exceptional performance. I usually give constructive criticism but if her fans attack me for saying this than I might say that PSH will never develop as an actress if she does not start taking criticism.
