Ruichang i like you so much i will literally watch anything for you 😭😋 i dont find this drama appealing but chang yuqing and FL saved it for me, i liked ruichang even more bc of his character here.

I really cried on the 'almost confession' scene (when the tourist was missing then they were searching for them for hours then they end up missing the bus) 🥹 the mood was so perfect and genuine. I really thought that it's finally the moment but i got bummed out that FL got weirded out about the thoughts of Shiyi liking her so he just took back his confession and told her that he was just joking.
This is just my opinion, the writers ruined the last few eps for me. im kind of disappointed cause the build up was really good!! Their relationship are so pure and wholesome and platonic, a relationship build with trust where they can rely on each other a lot. I was so excited to see gradually the progress of their relationship turn to something more than friendship. But after the confession, everything got weird.
Tbh it feels wrong to see ML forcing her to be in a relationship with him and people around her keeps shoving down her throat that she should date him when she repeatedly said that she didn't like him and that she just see him as a friend/brother. The writers ruined their dynamics and shiyi's character, cause in the first place they wrote him as a gentle and patient guy for her.
The writers dragged the storyline of FL liking SML for too long. I really thought that FL will gradually stop caring about him and that she will have this sudden realization that she doesn't like him anymore and that she will start to have feelings for ML. But yeah, it kinda happened but it was so forced and unnatural (she just started to have feelings for him in the last few eps wth 😭) i actually feel so sorry for ML 😭😭 girl how can you not fall in love with him? he's down so bad for her and the way he forgave her in a second when she was mean to him. AND THE ACTS OF SERVICE. and the way he was so willing to dump that exchange program for her.
ANYWAY EVEN THS LAST FEW EPS SUCKS I REALLY STILL LOVE THIS DRAMA 😭. Im so fond of the characters and the main leads chemistry is amazing. Excluding the last few episode, The pace is slow and good and it's just perfect for a youth, slice of life and coming of age drama. The portrayal is realistic.
Love how they tackle the friendship and family storyline! I really cried when FL's family is having a difficulty. Her father and mother is so sweet and supportive. The reconciliation part between her and her mother got me the most, i really cried. It was really genuine.
That's all! I was just so disappointed on how they wrap up the things in the end because the drama started so good (even the middle is good too!!). It's still worth it to watch though. it made me giggle, squealing, laugh and cry. Roller coaster ride of emotions. Im really attached to thisdrama. And i also discovered a hidden gem which is Wang ruichang !! He's such a good actor.
