in the novel, fifth prince's love for his late wife is real..he already fall head over heels towards her at first sight so he ask emperor to bestow a marriage for him with her after her betrothal with her childhood lover is cancelled..unfortunately, she never reciprocate his feelings from the start until she died..fyi, in the novel, GQZ died while pregnant 3 months with his son..such a tragic fate..

The drama indeed portray it too fast and lack of solid understanding about why both ninth prince and crown prince fallen head over heels towards her..
But since i've already read the novel, it didnt concern me that much coz i knew the reasons..

maybe think like this..the way we think and behave in this modern day is very different with the way how the people live their life back in that time..the standard cant align between us now and them back in that time..

there is no reincarnation..GQZ died but her memories and sentiment got blended into SXH body, mind and soul..so the one who control SXH body is SXH herself because SXH didnt die..

each princes has ulterior motives..the differences lay on the tactics they will use..on point analysis..

Different face..its more like Shen Xihe retain both of her own memories and Gu qingzhi memories altogether in Shen Xihe body..

Gu Qingzhi never love fifth prince..and its not political too but more like emperor want to temper fifth prince to be a ruthless future emperor by use him to exterminate Gu family since Gu family have huge power and influence in the court..

I hope after they get back from the island, YL will start really pour all his attention to DQ and having more deep talks with DQ and can be sure of each other true feelings and form a deeper relationship..like YL said that he feels a step behind from DQ..
But somehow i get the feeling that YL still have regret for miss the chance to have 1 on 1 date with LL and feel guilty or softhearted by seeing LL crying ..

If because of that YL turn back to LL, then maybe DQ deserve a more better men that can wholeheartedly love her..even DQ said it herself that if its meant for her, he will stay by her side no matter what..amazing personality..

why i said they feel attracted to each other because from how YL said that LL ever said to him that she want to get to know him more personally, so i guess that they have their moments off cam..
from that, i draw conclusion that oh perhaps that was the signal YL get from LL..unfortunately, that signal got disrupted by 3 times cancelled date between them..maybe if only the date between YL and LL didnt cancelled when LZ come, the result will be different..

yesss..i feel so dumbfounded at that scene when LL suddenly told YL to wait and run to find LZ..hahaha..epic random..how can you expect YL will be okay to be treated like that..okay well YL done the same thing before but the different is YL walk away from their talks because he felt disappointed with LL response and not to find another girl to chase..

honestly, after 6 episodes, i feel so mesmerized by DQ personality..brave, nonchalant,clear minded and straightforward..if YL true to his words about he wont entertain 2 girls at the same time and stick to it, i almost cant see YL and DQ not end game CP..
but if YL end up with LL as the twist (as the rumor said), well, i am so curious about the process but at the same time will feel heartbroken for DQ though..

thats why YL said that he confused about why LL crying and lock herself all day only to said that its because of him..like how??YL not even her only priority though..i wont blame any of the casts since we are all human after all..everyone have their own feelings and different attitudes and the way they see and solve problems they encounter but the production team is the one who make this drama to happen..it felt so absurd until ep 6, YL and LL didnt have 1 single official date yet although they feel attracted to each other..

not yet..just saw some glimpse of it on X..it will be available tomorrow on WETV..

Its like LL indirectly said to YL wait here i want to confirm if LZ want to date me or not..if not, i will comeback to you..lol..how can he accept that?

now this is the roller coaster of emotions that i want to watch from dating show..imperfection at its finest..every action and reaction from the casts show that each person is unique..
at first i really like YL and LL interaction to each other but feel its to unfair for them coz they always got interrupted to having a 1 on 1 date..then come DQ that bravely straightforward to YL..i bet YL really want to consider DQ at that time but i know YL prefer to be the one that chasing other (according to his answer from Ruita question at dinner table)..so i feel DQ really suit YL..they have same frequency..i do really hope they can end up together..
LL behavior show that she was mentally unstable at that time..a people pleaser always end up hurting all although thats not his/her intention at all..gibberish talking coz ZL aura is too strong and straightforward and she herself too shy and overthinking a lot..
LZ and YL behavior towards LL at that time are too rude for me but i cant blame them..sometimes emotions can flare up bcs of frustration..how they can communicate it later will show who is the one that really want the relationship work and function properly..

My opinion about DQ is more about bad timing..ZR showing his heart too fast by saying about destiny in ep 2 (dinner, job revelation) if im not wrong..it makes DQ feel too much pressure since its just second day and she still not develop any special feeling towards specific men..at the same time, she feel the joy and comfort from how ZL treat her and play with her..
ZL and LL obstacle is more about they have zero date until now..their date got interrupted by three times..one by BK at the start, second bcs LL sick and third time bcs Lizheng use his priority card as new male..
I can understand ZL frustration but also understand LL feeling..they need to talk honestly in the coming episodes if they dont want any regret later..

ZL and LL just lack of communication..not just simple chat but a deep convo between them..and DQ is one of the reason that trigger this couch talk to happen between ZL and LL..

Good point..until ep 3, liu only observe..i do love seeing liu and youling but somehow danqi has her own unique charm..clumsy nonchalant girl with tsundere ceo..haha..

aah so the director use Ye Li alias as Chu Jun Wei (Young Master Chu) in novel to be Ye Li persona as Teacher Zhu on the drama..hmm..creative plot..

I have a feeling that Lizheng will drop out later after liu2 choose youling firmly since Lizheng already said that he only has eyes for liu2..hmm..too bad..

this drama is not using the same plot as novel did..in the novel, ML and FL are power couple after they become husband and wife..both of them create their own kingdom by themself..lol..there are several parting scenes along the story but the reasons are not bcoz of break up or divorce but rather about FL has her own missions or FL has encounter danger several times..

From my POV, FL only has imagination of qingshuang but she actually aware of the deaths of all the Lishan mountain people since we can see FL come to comfort all the family of Lishan students 1 by 1 start from the tree incident..

For me, the plot about Prince Li request to empress dowager himself to cancel his own marriage with Ye Li and marry Ye Ying instead and later act pitiful toward Ye Li is a weak plot..it will be a better plot if only after he decide to cancel the marriage and found out he actually misunderstood something about Ye Li..bcoz thats the true plot from the novel.. but well thats just my opinion..after all i still enjoy the story so far although its different from the novel..

"Yuan Niang" meaning is eldest daughter..maidservants cant call their masters by name but by their status in the family..
