A better ending could NOT have been written omg it made all the angst and uncertainty worth it! Not one stone was left unturned and not one character was forgotten my satisfaction is immeasurable rn 10/10! These days I find it so hard to believe in the couples chemistry all the way to end but not here 🥹🥹 The friendships, the character growth displayed by everyoneee and this drama might have one of the best fathers in a cdrama I’ve seen in forever🩵 if you’re finding the beginning slow just get past the first 13 eps, I swear the beginning seems like a different drama by the end and so worth it because we start so shallow and explore each character in depth as the drama goes on, so def give this a try if you’re hesitant!
I’m only on ep 23 but I’d just like to say that every single person that’s beefing the ML has a problem with his dad and the MLs number one enemy is his dad so in conclusion that dads gotta GO

No i feel you fr 😭 you have to be actively head empty to enjoy it and my one saving grace is that they don’t show the other actress from his pov bare minimum but yeah I see why you are struggling 😂

Yes even with that consideration it’s weird that whole memory when he’s talking about who would be the heir and her rescuing him as a kid on top of him stresssssing they’re not related at her funeral all of that is weird to me sorry but I’m just gonna pretend she’s a different person 🤷🏽♀️ (I’ve watched 100s of Asian dramas and read translated novels too so it’s not like I’m not used to the titles and tropes)
same... to have my own opinion first is very important. I read the novel but couldn't get past a few chapters…
The novel was sooo depressing at first I really hate reading about women being abused for being women (her family brainwashing her to play a role) but the character growth and her learning to put herself first is the essence of this story tbh I don’t think you’re missing out just watching the drama 🤗
Yes when she dies in the beginning she finds out she was blinded by her husband and his mistress and he kills her by drowning (it wasn’t really a love marriage she was just doing her duty for her family so a continuation of her living her entire first life for her family)
I’m so happy I decided to watch this without reading this comment section. The novel is one of my all time favsss and I’m loving the drama too. There are a lot of changes but frankly idc it’s very rare to get a 1:1 adaptation and sometimes the changes are actually good (her not being married for one). Looking forward to the other eps 🙂↕️🙂↕️
