Rewatching this in 2022 feels impossible. I can remember a time though when this was the standard. Young SJK and MCW are a treat to behold although SJK still feels raw here.
Seriously can't decide who to ship. I feel like Hee-a or Han Ji Hyun will be endgame but can't help rooting for Han Mi while I find Gyu ri as the prettiest.
Really dislike dramas like these where the main antagonist is right, left, and center to the plot and everything kinda revolves around him and the protagonists struggle against him but I'm giving this a chance since the premise is interesting.
Storytime. Avoided this when it came out cause I was biased against Lee Byung Hun due to his scandal. Big fan of his wife Lee Min Jung and whether or not the scandal was true, he did her dirty nonetheless by just being caught up in it. Although already seen a lot of his previous works, couldn't really get past that until now. Glad I gave this and him a chance. Came here for Taeri mainly though
Just my take on why this has very low ratings right now (aside from the fact that MDL has gotten an influx of 12 yos in the recent years who only want that instant gratification) - the big name cast (or at least the ones that are relatively known outside of Korea) have yet to be shown their story arcs. While Cha Seung Won, and Lee Jung Eun are great actors in their own right, arguably they are not why people gander a watch on episode 1 and are not as eye-catchy as say Shin Min Ah and Wo Bin.
Once this drama finally hit its stride I'm sure it'll be as memorable as other great ones out there, ratings be fucked.
The mid-life crisis that Mi-jeong is going through is relatable on a very personal level. That feeling when you're just going through the movements of life, just trying to get by.
