i truly truly believe that if zihao had been korean he would've gotten the seungyoun treatment on this show.

he's clearly one of the most talented guys there and mnet literally pays him back by giving him No screentime, despite him having a really interesting storyline this episode. they're so scared of his fanbase, but they can't evil edit him so instead they just don't show him and actively sabotage the moments he is in the spotlight, like shamelessly moving the camera away when he's in the center?? like holy shit that is the second time they've done that now, the favoritism is actually insane

they absolutely should've punished the r*pist from ep 10 the same way they punished the bully in ep 2. the entire ep i was literally anticipating seeing him get that same treatment and i was so disappointed when they didn't go that route. oh well it's my only gripe with this drama so ig i can live with it lol

ok thank you! while that makes our main character's actions more justifiable, that also makes the villain's actions completely unforgivable. i'm almost disappointed that they didn't add the alternative as a plot twist lol

of course the people hating on the girls that did make it in are absolutely in the wrong, but a lot of people in the comments here bring up the very real problem of mnet's xenophobia throughout this show, which the voting results absolutely reflect.
"everyone is crying about 1 chinese member" yes. bc mnet evil edited the hell out of them and completely destroyed most of the chinese girls' confidence while doing it. and the fact that most of them came all the way to korea only to be me mistreated and used as tools to bring up the image of the 'perfect korean girls' that mnet tried to paint is beyond disgusting. so no, this was not mnet's 'best try' at making a global group.

i'm sorry but i had to laugh lmao. i was prepared for disappointment, but this was just devastating.

i don't think mnet intends for it to be an all korean group. i'd say their ideal would be 4-5 korean members. which is why they installed the 50% korean votes, bc otherwise that would never happen. but now they're probably realizing that the system is really broken and that the big majority of knetz would never vote for the j and c trainees.
and now we're left with the most unbalanced group ever, which is why i think they tried to remedy it by releasing the ranking, so people would panic vote and not think the most consistently popular participants like xiaoting and yurina are automatically safe.
i just hope it works, bc i think these girls are doomed to fail otherwise.

seeing chen hsin wei break down like that just broke my heart :'( i love her sm and her final message was so beautiful, i really hope everyone who's been sprouting hate abt the girls participating in this show takes it to heart.
