technical question: everywhere i look the highest quality i can find this drama in is 720p. are japanese dramas from a couple of years ago always in this quality or am i just not looking hard enough for the 1080p version lol?
i really don't like how they always start storylines without finishing them. like yurina wanting to prove herself of being worthy of being in a high ranking position, but never being satisfied with her own performance. this time she did really well, got praised by the mentors and they don't even get into it lol?? i know they always want to show the drama but come on. i would have loved to also see some more of the positives. ep 9 was literally my favorite ep, i loved seeing the girls have a good time on their respective missions!!
kim doah deserved so much da 8th place, huening literally did nothing, she's just famous bc of her brother
yes bc she can choose who her bother is lol i'm sure we all would've loved for doah to still be in the program, but let's not blame a literaly child for something she can't help. she's been doing her best and you can literally see how much all the online hate has been affecting her.
everyone complaining abt the vip's clearly hasn't seen a lot of other dramas before. compared to other foreign actors in kdramas, these guys were almost award-winningly good lmao
I'm sorry but Cai Bing has sooo disappointed me in the 7th ep... :'((( With this attitude she should rather go…
same. i keep trying to think abt how this could just be mnet's evil editing, but the other girls were clearly also very annoyed with her so i don't think that's entirely to blame (though i have no doubt that played a part as well, bc i will never forget the entire haknyeon situation).
maybe miscommunications/dragged on discussions made her snap and say that she can do whatever she wants as a leader and the others shouldn't voice their opinion anymore, but even then she should have never worded it like that bc that just made her sound incredibly selfish. idk man, one thing is clear: if she does debut, she should not be the leader lol
i think this one (interms of voting) will be legit because the producers are different, but expect the same evil…
i personally didn't really care for the unfair voting system since i figured that just happens with every survival show at this point. it would ofc be lovely if they really stepped away from that this time, bc it obviously isn't morally correct at all.
i loved the x1 lineup and the fact that mnet completely threw x1 ( half of which were minors) under the bus to save their own skin still makes me sick
han seo is literally the definition of 'deserved better' i'm so upset omg :'( i guess we should've known when he said that he had vincenzo to protect him in ep 19. that was some foreshadowing right there lol
i also can't help but wonder if part of han seok didn't actually want to kill his brother? after fuming in that jail cell for so long it really did seem like han seok was absolutely set on murdering him in his office, but then hesitated and just ended up knocking him out and impulsively taking him over to his house. and even after that he kept giving him chances as well, aiming for the arm when han seo attacked him at first (also seemingly not shooting him before accidentally shooting chaeyoung?) and after that telling him to let go of the gun when they were struggling with it. until eventually han seo sealed his own faith by telling him he shouldn't have been born and pushing him over the edge. i really wonder if he wouldn't have shot if han seo hadn't said what he said. of course we're talking abt a psychopath here, so who knows what was going on in his mind lol
to tell you i sobbed while watching ep 35 would be an understatement :')) also major props to gu xiang's actress and voice actress!! her yelling for wen kexing to kill that fucker literally gave me goosebumbs (and also made me cry twice as hard lol)
I haven't even watched all aired eps and could already see that this is just Not the drama for webtoon (specifically Seojun) fans. It's obvious they'd change things for a screen adaptation. What's not obvious is completely rewriting characters and giving scenes from one character to another to fit your narrative (it's like everybody's getting the Ron treatment here lol). It's frankly downright disrespectful to the source material. I really wanted to like this drama and I'm honestly extremely disappointed in the screenwriter bc this just isn't the adaptation they promoted anymore, it's just a complete rewrite.
If you're enjoying it, that's totally okay, ofc!! It's just mindless fun in the end and I can totally see how it could be enjoyable to people who haven't read the webtoon or the Suho-fans out there that don't mind the rewriting (bc our boy is just Not that obsessive and possessive lol)
I loved this drama but the only thing I didn't liked in this was the random sexual scenes... Like come on Netflix,…
it reminded me of game of thrones season 1 a little bit. maybe it was to attract a wider audience (aka male that doesn't usually watch manga adaptations)?
i really dont see ittt. I was fully prepared to feel it, but i rlly dont. i keep getting childhood friend/neighbor/cousin/brother…
they're really pushing seojun into that bad boy role and pushing suho to be the traditional "male lead" so i think that's why?
they're obviously not going to get to the time skip in this drama (or at least i doubt it) and before that suho was the more prominent love interest so yea...with how they're developing i doubt we'll get to see seojun and joo gyung forming the same connection they have in the webtoon :'(

i mean, a lot of ppl prefer suho so that's understandable. but i don't really understand how you can see him as anything but a brother figure after they've dated for so long? or do you specifically mean the actors not having chemistry here in your answer? i think one of reasons i liked the webtoon is bc seojun doesn't feel like a second male lead (and isn't for a long time lol)

the killer: "she's my sister"
