Fair Xing's acting is also miserable because she gets typecast as those airhead girls. Not far in the story yet,…
I agree with a lot of what you said. Xin Fei's past dramas always had her in those idol romance dramas with the dumb girl/smart guy setup. Her acting is very limited to comical expressions and regarding anything outside that range, it is clear that her acting suffers greatly.

Alan Yu has had good moments in the past but seriously... if you compare his acting across all of his past dramas where he's the cold ML, you won't be able to tell the characters apart. Even in coldness, there's a way to express the nuance of the characters. He just has a stone face for every. single. drama.

I wonder will we get investiture of the gods 2 ??
I highly doubt it, considering that the show didn't do too well in China.

Wait, so it's not actually time travel? It's just a dream?
Right, it's not actual time travel because her actions did not actually change the past. I think the whole point of the show was to show her journeying through and understanding her mother's childhood -- resulting in more empathy and understanding between each other.

First of all, they should have completely removed the 'romance'. There was no need for it, and mostly because…
Yes, it doesn't make sense for them to hug. This is a realistic historical drama. The ones where you might see hugs are fantasy dramas like The Untamed.

Interestingly tho, Untamed is only rated a 7.3 in China while NIF1 is rated a 9.2 -- their ratings in China are really different.

In China, people with VIP get early access episodes. Therefore, on Dramacool, the early access episodes are uploaded…
What I meant is, the VIP early access episodes are already uploaded onto Dramacool. That's why you see more episodes on Dramacool than on YouTube because YouTube follows the regular airing schedule.

I want to watch this - I'm there for any c-drama when two people in love do more than just stand in the same area…
Though I do agree that some of the Chinese Dramas' English titles are quite... strange, to say the least.

The Romance of Tiger and Rose makes sense because the two cities the leads are from are "花城“ and ”虎城“ which translates to flower (rose) city and tiger city. Nirvana in Fire refers to overcoming and growth amid struggles. It's kind of difficult to explain that one imo. Haven't watched Lovely Swords Girl so I don't know if there is a reasonable explaining to that title.

Extremely well-produced and high quality drama. Great cinematography, solid plot with no evident loopholes by episode 27, natural pacing, and touches of humor and romance are scattered in the right places. Acting also deserves a thumbs up.

I really tought that Solo did something bad but truth is that he did the right thing, he chose his daughter over…
Actually, the real reason that HSY treats Solo like they way he does in the present is a little different. It comes up in two different scenes: One is a talk with TN and another is a ?bathtub fight? with Solo.

Title Go Go Squid! Spoiler
Tang Nian is a bit creepy. Well, not just a bit. First she is that crazy stalker that thinks someone really cares…
I'll just share a little bit of my opinion. I don't think that she is a stalker. She fell in love at first sight. She got his contact info secretly but HSY was also the one who agreed. The second time they met, she happened to be in Guangdong too near the same venue as HSY. She got placed into the K&K VIP section because AiQing brought her there. She was then in the same hotel with K&K because the team was the one that told her to come along and HSY agreed as well. The third time they met was due to a coincidence where HSY was supposed to go on a meetup with TN's cousin. I don't think its fair to call her a "crazy stalker." She also broke up with him because 1) she embarrassed herself in front of HSY while believing that he has no feelings towards her and 2) she knows that their "love" was just an excuse to help Wu Bai.

Regarding HSY, he is placed in this position where he faces pressure from TN's mom but also has feelings for TN. At this point, I wouldn't really say HSY "loves" TN. He likes her, looks forward to interacting with her but "love" isn't a point in their relationship. HSY made it clear that he was to type to slowly fall in love with a person and they had just met each other for about 2 months when he spoke to TN's mom so it's understandable why he would be able to push her away.

TN's doesn't exactly "go around him nicely." She was definitely hurt by him and in the speech at the airport, she mentions that HSY's attitude and method in dealing with emotional matters isn't positive or normal. However, she acknowledges that from other aspects, such as his drive in his career and his care for the K&K team members, it demonstrates that he does have a good character.

Finally, YaYa. I think I would have encouraged TN to stay away from HSY but there is one reason that she might not have done so. YaYa is good friends (at the point) with MSF/Xiao Mi. Xiao Mi knows HSY very well and has said to TN to not trust HSY's words because he actually really likes her. This might have been communicated between YaYa and Xiao Mi when she tells MSF: "HSY keeps hurting TN" and MSF replies by saying, "I'll take care of it. Leave it up to me." But that's just my guess.

It's also important to keep in mind that their relationship is both of their first relationship so they definitely lack experience in communicating what the feel, especially HSY.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if Wu Bai's character end up with anyone? Thanks in advance.
Although it isn't explicitly shown, WuBai did get a hug from AiQing towards the end so it probably indicates that they will be together.

It seems like the total amount of episodes have changed to 42.
https://movie.douban.com/subject/26794191/

The reason for this change might be that due to the popularity of the drama, there is a "外播" episode or an episode that is outside the main storyline. This was the case with 《Put Your Head On My Shoulder》

I think it is a symbolism for
them getting back together. Before this, TN said that she wished she had more opportunities with HSY to just talk and walk together. And it is in this moment that HSY let go of the promise he made to TN's mom. In all, this speaks to their "缘分" or the notion that they are destined together which is pretty miraculous?
