I loved the fact they both got abandonment issues in childhood but chose a totally different method to cope with it. Both of them were scared to disappoint their family , Jung Ki Sub becomes a people pleaser whereas Kim Jin Woo becomes a perfectionist. Jung Ki Sub has a hard time understanding his emotions whereas Kim Jin Woo has a hard time accepting them.
I like this concept but It didn't naturally flow. It was too abrupt. Also I saw them being in love but somehow feel like they skipped the part where we would have gotten to see them falling in love. But they seem really adorable at the end. We didn't get the story behind Jung Ki Sub's sickness. And WHYyyyy did they sleep on the second couple? All this buildup for an average ending? I like the fact that Balg Eum is willing to be better and actually finding a full time job. I don't have a problem with open endings but I was hoping for a litte more screen time for them. What I loved most about these two episodes was probably the friendship between Balg Eum and Jung Ki Sub. We got a little glimpse of it but it melts my heart.
I like all of the characters. They have their own charm. It was a fun watch and the kiss scene under the bed will keep swirling butterflies in my small intestine. The angst of the second couple damn! 8 episodes are too short to conceptualize and execute everything effectively.
On a separate note, I like the fact that Kim Jin Woo also hates the wig just like us.
My opinion is being heartbroken is not an excuse to hurt another person. Yes Ming didnt give any assurance reg…
Yeah! There were mixed signals from Ming indeed. I think they lack communication in a sense of what they want from the relationships. Also I think Ming was trying to move on, he was accepting the love from Joe and was developing feelings from him at the same time. He was happy when his sister mentioned Joe as special and he was buying gifts for Joe to make him happy. But not all past feelings just evaporated at once. Yup he should have resolved his feelings before starting things with Joe but it happened too quickly. I think Ming right now is in a fucked up mental state and he needs to leave Joe alone for the moment(though the dreaded moments are coming the next week so not sure). I don't think of Ming as a red flag but he has some potential to be one in the future that I have to see. I don't hate him but I do find some of his actions highly questionable and I'm here for a good redemption arc.
It's not fair for Nam Yi. Jae Min was doubting him the whole time now he's breaking up without giving valid reasons and put the blame on him. Don't put Nam Yi through the misery of self doubt.
Why can't ppl be Lil selfish. Ming was in agony from long time bec he was in love with someone he can't have but…
Yeah! Also Joe went super fast on his delusion when Ming never stated he wanted a relationship. I am sad for Joe and the last scene break my heart. But just to call out Ming as a red flag because he unconsciously hurt Joe because of his unresolved issues are too much. He was clearly drunk and vulnerable. I was more pissed off at Ming the last episode when he insulted Joe as just a "Stand In". Though I would still want Joe to dump his a** until Ming resolved his issues. Joe by any chance doesn't deserve to be a rebound.
I think I can forgive Ming later. Now as well he never led Joe on to think that he is his boyfriend but what's the thing with his jealousy. You are still in deep shit with your one sided feeling with your sister's fiancee brotha! Man I wish Joe would have taken more time to give his heart to Ming. And Tong behaves like an entitled a**hole at this point.
Well, I know to avoid this one.The 4,328 uses of "cute," "wholesome," "fluffy," "sweet," and "light" in comments…
"Quit trying to police BLs to deliver stories within certain boundaries that keep you feeling comfortable. You have an agenda; doesn't mean the show does." Just pointing out inconsistency of your own argument.
Yeah. The series needs to peek more into Ki Sub's psyche to explain his actions. Also how come Jin Woo goes all…
Yeah! I watched the conversation of Jin Woo and the girl again after this comment and now it kind of makes sense. But he didn't want to date Ki Sub in the first place because he thought of Ki Sub as a player. It would have made more sense if he accepted his feelings after he confirmed that Ki Sub is not playing with his feelings.
Yes. Ki Sub's backstory of being a people pleaser is given but his backstory of being a dumb**** is not given. You explained greatly. I can tell why he needs the urge to say yes but I couldn't understand how he couldn't understand that You can't date two people at same time. But Ki Sub's character is fresh and great for comedic relief but it lacks realism. I still like their chaotic duo though.
I can actually think of a handful of male leads who have had boyfriends before... usually in those it's about…
Also I don't think Korean BL especially have this " I don't like guys only you" trope. I do know some of the early Thai BLs has this trope vividly. I think most BLs doesn't represent sexuality well it mostly revolve around 'Love' and that can be an issue for people seeking for the representation.
Tbh I am not enjoying the acting of the main couple. It seems like everyone else is loving this drama here but…
Yeah. The series needs to peek more into Ki Sub's psyche to explain his actions. Also how come Jin Woo goes all 360 degrees and drop his criterias. I don't like the inconsistency in character development. I know it can be because of the short span of the episodes.
Especially when In Ho seemed just as happy to hang out in Bal Geum's little apartment together doing nothing.…
Also In Ho is trying to have the conversation but Bal Geum is so wrapped up in his insecurity that he can't welcome it at this moment. I think they will end up together but I want to see how they will handle their conflict as it's a very real issue.
'I like you but I don't like myself when I'm with you.' There's nothing wrong with In Ho. He is a sweetheart. But his lack of worry regarding money makes Balg Eum more aware of his own incompetence. He misses the show so he books another ticket. The popcorn got spilled over . Let's buy another one. The restaurant is asking more money let's give them. When you have abundance of money, you don't have to care for a little extra to spare. Also one thing does Balg Eum's family suddenly becomes poor? It could explain Balg Eum's actions. Like why do you want to show off money that you don't have man! Man why are you spending all your money on a date? In Ho's presence makes him feel more broke and he somehow wants to compensate for it.
Numerous bisexual people don't adhere to the trope of "having criteria only on the opposite sex until" a bond…
Your point is valid. Most of the mainstream 'BL' doesn't portray sexuality well. They focus on only 'Love'. I do know how it can be frustrating to not get the representation. "Figuring out" is more to do with our self retrospection than the other person which they fail to show.
But I don't think we get enough moments exploring Jin Woo's psyche to say it's a classic 'I don't like guys and only you' case.
Also I'm not saying people become gay for one person but people sometimes realise they also have feelings for boys for one person. In the case of BL, that one person almost always ends up being the ML/MC.
People remember Jin Woo has never been in a relationship ever. I don't know about you guys but as a bisexual I also always has criterias that was only on men until I fell for a woman. I don't think it's a " I don't like guys I like you" case. Probably in case of Jin Woo it's the opposite LOL! Though I wouldn't ever consider BL as an epitome of representations. But in case of young love, most of the time the characters would still be figuring it out.
