Title Gelboys
You don't know me. You might have lived a completely different life than I am. Our teenage experiences can be miles apart but the feelings uhhhh.. the heartaches that feels like the 'end of the world', the confusion with a pinch of delulu I think is universal that we can all relate to. That was the essence of Gelboys.

Hyung doesn't mean brother. It's used for any guy older to you who you are personally close to. So Hyung can be…
Yes. I got your point. But I still think Hotae refused to call Dong Hee "hyung" because of his underlying feeling as well. Then why would he get angry at being called Dong Hee's brother by his swimmer mates? Or it can be because of not the brother like feeling more of the fact that he doesn't want to be considered younger than Dong Hee so he will not think of him as immatured. I think my comment might have been misleading to assume that they are biologically brothers. I edited it now. Thanks for pointing out.
On The Time of Fever Sep 16, 2024
Hotae is one year younger than Dong Hee. They have grown up in the same neighbourhood. Like most Asian countries, Hotae was conditioned to consider Dong Hee as his brother. But suddenly Hotae refused to call Dong Hee 'Hyung'. So probably the feelings are a bit complicated to call it brother like anymore. The Time of Fever shows five stages of emotion: Desire, Denial, Submission, Distance and Acceptance.

Please check out the link below. Hope you will like my thoughts on the drama. It's short. I was losing my sleep and mind watching over their fluffy and tension scenes. So I just write what was going on my mind watching this.

Title Monster Spoiler
I have few questions. I hope someone here will explain it. 1) was the principal a bad guy? Why did she tripped…
It's up to different interpretations but I would explain from my point of view. Yori's dad always insulted him saying that he has a pig brain my guess is because his father kind of knew he is queer or not "normal". So it needed to be fixed. So when Yori shares it with Minato, his internalised homophobia convinces him that Minato also has a pig brain. Probably that was also the reason why Minato cut his hair because he felt something he shouldn't have when Yori touched his hair. I am also not entirely sure about Minato's psyche.

Mr Hori was bookmarking the newspaper probably because he was deeply affected with the incident as it ruined his whole reputation. My guess is that Mr Hori didn't make a conscious decision of ending his life. He was kind of disassociating at that moment and when he heard the sound of the saxophone he got out of it. This saxophone is also the one that Minato was playing with Principal. "Blow it away". So it kind of fits together cinematically.

I didn't get in which scene Principal tripped the kid in supermarket. Also I'm not entirely sure if the Principal was the actual culprit or not but it was an accident so she is probably not entirely evil.

If you have other questions I would be happy to answer. It will give me the excuse to repeat the movie scenes againšŸ˜‚.

Title My Mister
"You're a sweet/good person" : Dong Hoon reminds Ji An of her own kindness when she no longer feels like a human. It keeps ringing in her head while she triesĀ  hard to believe it. There is a saying that eyes never lie. In this series I heard the language of sighs. It's the sighs of despair, the sighs which shivers you of what comes next, the sighs we try to hide from our loved ones. This is a story of 3 brothers in their 40s and one girl in her 20s sailing through the hardships of their life. The synopsis is simple and the pacing of the show is really slow. You have to be in a certain mood to finish it and it will not be everyone's favorite which is totally fine. It doesn't have a gripping thriller or swoon worthy romance but it does have great storyline, the stories which keeps floating in our own radius but it doesn't catch our attention as it's not sparkly. This series doesn't have extravagant dialogues. But some simple phrases will move you deeply. Some scenes will shake your core while others will keep you grounded. They conveyed the emotions with less words. If there are times you also feel trapped, life feels just a little too much to bear at times. Watch it. First it will make you feel uncomfortable, then it will make you feel understood. It will heal your bruised soul with a tingling sensation.

We are living in a maze of perspectives and sometime if we are not careful enough we can get trapped. Some movies stir you and make you feel all the humanly emotions that you never knew was buried within you. When someone asks about summary of the movie Monster I am at loss of words. Monster is one of the masterpiece by Koreeda.

Paradox of being a nice person: when we are being nice are we actually being nice? Those words that we say for the sake of making people happy: are they actually kind? Wearing a mask: Sometimes we get so used to the mask that the mask becomes invisible to us. We forget the sense of who we truly are. Aren't we all a little bit of everyone's perceptions? I just seem to always get back to this drama.

Han Ji Woo : I never wanted this bad to beat someone up and also give him a squeeze-y hug. How can someone make me so sympathize with him while making me so furious! I not only understand him but sometimes I kinda relate to him on my core while screaming on my top of lungs that "You are a bloody idiot". If you are anything like me in that you grow up reading romance novels and romance movies, you are probably also a sucker for "Opposites attract each other". Something about two seemingly incompatible people somehow connected together like that last piece of jigsaw puzzle you can't seem to put together but when you do bro it's so obvious.

Some people somewhere show the courage to self expression. That's the primary catalyst for how we get most of our human rights. Almost always people who wants to bring revolutionary change had to give some price : was the freedom of expression worth that much price? I'm sorry if it stops making sense to you how it relates to the story. But I think Min Ha and Sang Bum are driven by these two opposite mindsets. What is the right mindset? Many of us choose the first one on conscience and choose the 2nd one on convenience. This 30 minute Short Film gives you the feels that many long films failed to give. It's about two boys in high school in a closeted relationship. Both of them were suffering but one's was more outwardly obvious than other's.

Ever seen an infected wound? If left untreated, whether out of ignorance or out of fear, wound if severe enough can get infected and smell. The urge might be to ignore it as now it's hideous. When the pain gets too unbearable, we try to cure it and even then it leaves a nasty scar. Some wounds are just too deep to cure on our own. It's where our hands can't reach. Qian is carrying the heavy load alone throughout his life and he gets used to the weight. When Yuan wants to share his load, he loses balance. The only thing Yuan ever wanted was....

Title My Stand-In Spoiler
...The redemption arc does no redeeming, LOL. IMHO it gets worse from now on.
I have read Yoneda Kou's manga and I can't tell you how pissed I am that she doesn't write that many stories because she is so damn good. 'No touching at all' was so painfully beautiful and I will probably be dead before I see the end of 'Twittering birds never fly'.

I will definitely check out Motoni Modoru's stories. I like that Danmei novels are being adapted into series in Taiwan and now Thai as China will not do justice to them( I like some of the bromance dramas a lot but still).

I will probably check it out for curiosity but I don't think I will get past the whole thing. 2D art has liberalism in that sense of experimentation. Some scenes are way too atrocious to recreate in the live action. I am not even a fan of the sorts of Jinx, I don't find them humane enough to connect in some cases, I'm not very fan of sex, rape, poverty just for the sake of plot .

I checked out Haru Wo Deteita after your comment & I can tell immediately that this one I will like a lot. Manga hits the spot more than Manhwas. I haven't read much Danmei s rather than Mo Dao Zu Shi and if mtl translation of Dage by Priest counts.

It probably wouldn't land commercially well and probably will not be so great for the actors involved. If they give us actual tags and don't fool us with a workaround, I might watch it just for fun. Though I got pretty fed up with this trope in manhwas!

So this is one of the classic "Paying debt with money" trope. I have never seen this in any commercial BL. There might be some alteration in the series though either way it will be interesting to see.

I want to protect Joe so much! I liked that he got smarter with the escape. But why didn't they call the police?! Also clearly he didn't get that much smarter as he will go back to him at the end.

Guys! I'm taking my opinion back. Ming is definitely a red flag. I'm not even sure I can forgive him even after his redemption arc now. The only exception would be now that it's a supernatural story and Ming was possessed by a demon LOL! This goes beyond normal jealousy, possessiveness and the audacity he has to say He is the best boyfriend Joe has . What kind of delulu brain this rotten of piece of shit has? He is definitely a narcissistic psycho. Joe got away from him with his death and got this new life and I don't want Ming to come destroy it again. I can't tell you how many serial killer movies I have seen where the killer has the same obsession with their partner. Whoever has read the book spoils me. I want to know how Ming can ever redeem from this.
