The synopsis sounds like it tells you 90% of the story and mentions there's a twist. I still want to watch it but the description could be better,

I don't see why a show has to needlessly add female characters for the sake of female characters, the story and acting ability is more important whether or not this was a full female cast or a full male cast.

Good point, I like when they make it so the main person remembers it and everyone else has flashes of a memory they can't place.

I think we'll get a back and forth for a bit of the present and past and then he'll be able to go back with 4 episodes left there's a lot that could happen.

I get the feeling as well that we'll get a kinda bittersweet ending where the past may change and Kwang ho will be the only one who remembers what happens.

I doubt it with 4 episodes left they'd take such a bad writing direction. We'll probably get to see Kwangho back in the past but it'll cut between that and scenes of the present where Seon Jae and Jae Yi are, I don't think the future will change until Kwangho does something that may change the future especially since there seems to be a way of traveling back and forward.

After finishing episode 4 I'm glad there's a lot more mystery to this than just "husband cheats on wife". I can't guess the true motives though, she wants her to move in, seems to adore her and her children but there's clearly something very malicious and I can't tell if it's obsession bordering on the "I remember you" drama type or a different type of obsession.

I did end up liking the happy ending but I felt like everything was too rushed, Sun woos revenge played such a strong role in his character's motives but fell short in the end when it came to confrontation. I also feel like Sun woo should have been King in the end, the stark difference between the two kings should have had more effect. In a moment of weakness and desperation when people were being slaughtered Sun Woo yelled out strong and clear "I am the king of Silla" but in a moment of calm defiance among the officials and the queen, Ji Dwi strongly but calmly "I am the king of silla". I feel like at the end it should have been realised that the weakest of the three kingdoms needed the strongest king, otherwise why would they have made sun woo so charismatic that everyone he met was affected by him, even the faceless king? Surely his character was the King the kingdom so desperately needed.

Just finished the second episode and watched the preview for episode 3. It seems like the main couple that we'll watch get together are brother and sister in law but I've seen korean dramas before where that's frowned upon. Does Korea mind that kinda thing or was it just the drama I once watched that made it something weird?

I think using a 10 point system would be better for your ratings considering that's what mydramalist uses for rating its dramas, it'd also help to really pinpoint how good something is, 5 point systems always seemed very vague to me. But good article, I look forward to more.

4 episodes in and so far I don't like gap soon or gap dols characters at all(and they're the main ones yikes), they're going through a cliche of moving in together secretly with a pregnancy and then it's gonna be that he's gonna be careless and stress her out and she's pregnant so she's having crazy mood swings like in the restaurant and there's 50 episodes how much more drama could there be when they started us off with the biggest cliche they could have? Except maybe the possibility of gap soon getting the interest of the rich guy who nearly ran her over though that may have just been his character introduction .

The mess of relationships as well seems to be dropped in your laps right away where we have to figure out(though not hard) each problem and each character's connection to the other characters rather than them giving us the idea of what's going on and then going through the problems considering how many episodes there is.

If you're interested in a 50 episode family drama that's kind of insane like this but don't like this drama I'd recommend King's Family instead, it goes through many different types of relationship problems through different age groups.

I wish it was broader than just tax evaders but it's still a cop/criminal combo with Seo In Guk and Ma Dong Seok in it so I'm 100% on board with the excitement for this show.

"midst of disaster and disease" is not a literal place, yes they fell in love when they saw each other at the hospital but what they're actually talking about is the fact that they are continuing to fall in love rather than love at first sight while in Urk which is in the midst of disaster and disease.

I don't really know how netflix works with japanese drama licenses and such as this show's a "Netflix Original" so it's hard to tell if it would ever have a bluray release but you could wait until the shows finished airing all 11 episodes then pay a few pounds/dollars just for one month of netflix and watch it if that's a better possibility.
