That’s true but CGH’s motive isn’t bringing justice to the deceased or finding out the truth. He just wants to prove that it’s not his failure as a commander & shift the blame on NH. By this move he not only wants to reclaim the honour that he lost but also drag his competitor (in love & war) NH down permanently. He wants Nan Rui to hide behind him & reap the benefits. This toxic relationship b/w them will continue when NR ascends the throne essentially making him a puppet of CGH.

Being a good person means keeping our conscience clean. When the motive/ seed itself is wrong & the branches/ the methods used are cruel, how can the fruit not be poisonous? CGH is not finding but is actively hiding from the truth as he fears it more than death.

Shame on CGH. His character is irredeemable now. NH fought for the people but CGH claims that he fought for NR. My heart hurts for the Night Warriors. They don't deserve all this pain 💔 😭

Did the Emperor travel back in time too? His unwarranted hate towards NH, his opposition to NH’s marriage with SYM & his extremely protective attitude towards NR would make sense then.

CGH questioning uncle Gao was more about self justification than finding the truth. He was satisfied as he got the answer he wanted to hear & even if evil uncle Gao actually confessed the truth, CGH would sarcastically applaud him for protecting NH despite NH’s apparent betrayal. I can’t imagine his face when he learns the truth (if Nan Rui was behind his father’s death, CGH would collapse).

Why is it always the FL who travels back in time? I wish we have more of ML travelling back for a change in future dramas.

Nan Rui knowing that SG escaped prison is highly suspicious. He is just pretending to be dumb while making the right moves every single time. Maybe the Emperor sent NH out to save his life. The assassins chasing after SYM might be NR’s men. He might also be the one who planned uncle Gao’s escape. He is using CGH to eliminate NH & the Emperor to gain favour in the court. This time maybe he’ll use even the Gao family to target NH.

I think that the Emperor might actually like NH but hates the Gao family as he knows that they were behind the Empress’s assassination. Though NH himself is innocent, he was & is indirectly the cause/ motivation for the Gao family to commit all these crimes. I can’t believe that he sees that nincompoop (Nan Rui) as his heir. Song Yu De seems to be the only person who’s aware of the Emperor’s inner turmoil (green tea & black tea).

In the drama there is no love rival for SZY, so during the Beiyuan arc it’ll be exciting to see how Qian Mochen (with silvery hair strands) will play out on this GO board with anything but white/black pawns.

What was his role in the novel? Based on the plot now, would he ever appear in the drama?

CGH & SYM witnessed how NH is treated by his family & they know that he cares for the people & country despite them labelling him as “God of killing”. How is CGH a hero & NH the evil guy when both of them defend the borders? It’s like the Emperor blaming NH for being cruel & CGH getting acknowledged as the heir of Q army for hunting the same number of rabbits. If treated like this every day even a normal person will be forced to lose their rationality. It’s better to ignore people you don’t like rather than hating/ hurting them without any justification.

Does CGH really think that the CP is deserving or does he intend to ‘rule by proxy’ using the CP? If they kill NH or arrest him as planned, will the people benefit? CGH & SYM are selfish. Do they even worry about the nation? I’m sorry but I can’t respect these characters. They enjoy an extremely privileged life thanks to the taxes paid by the people but they don’t care who rules the country if their own family is safe. 20,000 soldiers lost their lives in the battle due to a miscommunication but CGH doesn’t investigate that case. Instead he is behind Shangguan He who possesses no threat other than being Nan Rui’s love rival. Shame on him.

Exactly. He already hurt his hand a moment ago trying to save her. Now she has the audacity to stab him on him arm & emotionally stab him by saying “I hate you”. For what? Did he pretend to be her friend & get her drunk to aid her assassination? ML tried to kill the FL in the past but he at least had a valid reason. Now the FL knows that NH doesn’t intend to harm her family & actually saved them. She knows that the Emperor is cruel to NH & that CP is useless. So why can’t she HELP NH & prevent that rebellion? Her only idea of justice is HURT NH & everyone will live happily ever after. Is she that foolish? Will NH’s army & FRM tolerate NH’s death?

I understand the FL’s predicament but she doesn’t need to harm him when he didn’t harm her yet. He saved her & her family multiple times & got punished for them. She doesn’t need to understand him but harming him is totally uncalled for. She knows that most people in his life either harm/ threaten/curse him but receiving it from the one you love hursts the most. She & CGH didn’t even try to find out the truth but planned his assassination. If he had died they would have celebrated their victory & one day even if they find out the truth, they would still justify it as an act of righteousness as he would have rebelled anyway.

Nan Heng is protecting himself & people dear to him. FL is doing the same. So what makes him the villain & her so virtuous? I’m sorry but I can’t understand CGH & FL’s extremely baseless confidence & entitlement of being the GOOD guys who completely understand the BAD guy NH. Despite SYT & SH knocking sense into them they remain unshaken. Of course as the plot progresses they’ll realise the truth & “forgive” NH (being the GOOD guys they always are) but can it compensate the pain & struggles he went through all these years? I’m sorry but I don’t want people like that in my life. They don’t trust him no matter what. Even when he risks his life. They will always be one misunderstanding away from hating him again. NH’s life is extremely tiring, delicate & painful.

If DH holdings acquires YL group, Kang Miran will shamelessly confess that SW is his son sooner than later. She herself told that she would stop at nothing for the sake of SW’s future.

Why did Jae In apologise to Se Ri & her mother for the “fake identity” incident at school? Jae In’s mom was actually kind enough to forgive them with that half baked apology. Se Ri not only extracted money but defamed the Kang family. She also had the nerve to say that she will stand strong despite being wrong. If punished properly, she wouldn’t be so brazen to re-enter Jae In’s life & steal not just her identity but her entire life. Continuing on the downward spiral, Se Ri NOT plagiarising Jae In’s design would be surprising.

I agree. I think the ML got to know that FL intentionally took the arrow when they opened the window to let out the smoke in the room. He might have overheard them discussing & he let them think that their plan succeeded by sending gifts, etc. They are playing chess.

They were sent to his house by their families as spies/ for leverage in the court during the future Emperor ascension battle. Now that Shen Zaiye has played a key role in bringing down the Crown Prince, the Emperor would suspect that his loyalty has shifted to one of his sons so he proactively cut all personal ties with the noble families & Princes to prove his neutral stance.

I think SZY started falling for her since the “suture without anaesthesia” moment. He acknowledged her intellect, courage & will power.
She later dared to propose a deal to him by managing to outsmart him
He found a reliable partner in her during the gambling plot
They empathised with each other during the village arc & began to trust each other
While SZY saved her many times & even put aside his past inhibitions to pray for her, he harmed her before. Tao Hua scheming to gain his trust is justified but she might be falling for him without realising. They already know & understand each other like no one else so this bond can’t be filled by others. They both are shaped by their painful experiences, loyalty to their loved ones & use their tactical ability constructively unlike the Meng family who only scheme for their greed.

Jiang Tao Hua looked absolutely stunning in the peach dress with red & purple lining. It’s Meng Zi Yi’s best look so far for me. She looked effortlessly radiant in her scenes with Meng Zhen Zhen.

Is GC being extra smart or a fool to involve the guy SR knows to investigate her past? Did SR & that guy love each other? Or Did she trick that guy too by pretending to be Kang Jae In A?
Would that guy expose SR or would he rather support her to make their son Ji Ho the heir of YG?
