Oh and a few days ago, Uncle Roger was also banned in China for making some sensitive remarks related to China. Like the Chinese government gets butthurt over the most trivial matter. I like a lot of Chinese actors and actresses, but sometimes I’m afraid of liking them too much because someday they may do something that is deemed “unpatriotic” and I’ll never get to see them act again.

They will be penalized. Basic punishment would be a fine and they lose their jobs. If they want to go further they can prevent them from getting other jobs. I heard that comedian who made the joke will get some prison time, perhaps up to three years and he has already lost contact with the outside world so no one know where he is right now. I mean this is so absurd it’s hilarious. Screenwriters will be ridiculed if they write something like this since it’s so unbelievable.

He also has Winner is King and The Fated General. I’m still hoping to see these 2 too, but the Chinese entertainment industry has been on a steady decline to madness ever since 2021, so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much. Maybe I should invest more time in kdramas instead, there’s much less uncertainty there. 🥲

Okay I want to start this drama, but looking at the plot summary I’m not so sure yet. Does the FL take revenge by also hurting the bully’s kid? Or is the revenge solely directed at the bully?

Actually there is no concrete evidence he purposely made fun of the military. Some people were too sensitive and did some overanalyzing (either on purpose or because they have nothing better to do) and just had to forcefully connect some imaginary dots to link his comment to the military. Tbh their overreaction actually makes this joke funnier! 😂 I didn't think it was funny before, but after all this drama, I find the joke hilarious.

I really want to watch this because I absolutely adore SZE, but in the trailer I saw there was a choking scene between ML and FL and that is a major turn off for me. Does anyone know if in the novel the ML also does this to her, or is this something they added in the drama?

Okay great, one of my favorite characters, Jin Biao has died. Now at least Mo Bu Fan and Kang Qiao are alive. If something ends up happening to these 2, this will likely be a drama I'll only watch once. :(
