I'm not accusing you of being some rival fandom. But it would help if some of your earlier posts were less like general statements and say it's your personal opinions. I get you, cuteness is overrated. Rugged manly is more your bag.

Enjoy. Both leads did a great job in portraying their characters. Those that keep saying it's slow don't like to delve into the inner details of the characters. Very nuanced and not for those that like high energy high angst.

Just ignore her. I think poor Allen Ren is easy target to be picked on by some because he keeps his head down, does the job and moves on, he's been around, made his name and really now doesn't need to prove himself.

He gets comments like this because he has the roles and really can hang up his boots if he wants, but because he's still getting plum roles, it makes some jealous. Attacking looks is probably the easiest.

Truth is, being picture perfect does not mean a good career in acting. Many of the top actors have imperfections and the most important thing is still their screen presence, their ability to hold an audience's attention. Allen Ren for me has that quality. His small face for me is suited for ancient wigs.

Until I saw your list, the only nose surgery I have heard about is reducing the size of nose and they usually shave the bone down to reduce the size. But after Googling I understand this nasal implant is the opposite! I'm off to google Cantus surgery. I'm learning things I never thought I needed to know!

I imagine he'd be very young looking in Rise of the Phoenixes. In A moment but forever, he looked much more mature and his styling there was good in my opinion. I look forward to seeing his role here 😉

Apologies if my initial comment came across heavy handed. I view the ending happy but not in the obvious way. If this is not how you saw it and felt it was wishy washy or not in the spirit of the novel. That's fine, since you read the novel, so I know you can compare and I'm not disputing your view on the novel and this interpretation. It's just I got the ending as not open.

It is in the dialogue, but not in a grand way. That's what I meant. Bits were thrown in during their conversations together, and when they speak with others. It helped to build a better understanding of how their relationship might develop.

I don't claim the drama is some master-piece because it definitely isn't. But it's a soothing drama that doesn't try to use out of character shocks to create a reaction. Maybe that is something I don't want to see as it's kind of forced with fake angst. We will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

I have not read any novel so will not be in a position to make comparisons, and since you have read novel, you are entitled to your opinions, but I am only giving my take on my experience. I do not share your view that there was too much time given to the so-called "baddies" and not enough on their relationship. The drama used light comedy, dead-pan and small moments when they were developing their relationship through their time at the restaurant, their time living and staying together. Her bugging him no matter what was the all part of their growth.

I am aware I can come with expectations, but with this genre, I tend to keep my mind open. I have seen some go in the direction of pixies and fairies trying to bring western aesthetics in, others keeping the FL in a child-like persona or being vixeny, to time travel mind benders and different dimensions. This drama is more closer to a more simpler love story about what you have at present is something you must cherish and if you do, that is more important than actually living it with that person.

I guess we interpret things differently, so I will not try to convince you. You made it clear to me, you don't feel it hits the spot for you and you don't share my view on the ending and have more or less told me, my views are too narrow on how to interpret the end.

BTW, when I talk about the dialogue, I do not mean heavy in a profound way. The dialogue is just giving you light clues that will help to know when the ending comes, it will make more sense.

No they can't because they want to normalise the little lolitta look which has been more or less happening for decades. Note they will make sure it's the female that initiates it to make it acceptable like in Forbidden Flower.

It's not in one or two dramas. I notice the group (some posing as females but clearly not very subtle) roam romance dramas like their life depends on it.

It's a well known trodden route. They can only go into female spaces to fight out their frustrations because in the big wide world they cannot muster the guts nor truly admit that they have decided all their problems are caused by women. If not, silly men are "being controlled" by women's rights. They despise seeing women enjoying themselves failing to admit that men too have enjoyed themselves for centuries.

Your reaction is exactly the issue with some viewers. Highly emotion hiding behind being logical. Your last paragraph showed how volatile some viewers are thinking their rating is like some big stamp of approval or not. Did I say it's got to be logical at all? You like some come with baggage and already have your set of expectations. I suspect this is from a drip drip effect of watching dramas that perhaps feel a sense of duplication.

I agree it had plot holes but not enough to distract from the overall bigger picture. This drama for me clearly is not about the villains, they are just mere side stories to push the interaction between those that are idealistic and cannot be deterred to a fault and those that are trying to live through pain. It's a partnership that formed with light nurture and discovery. The details are all in the dialogue and not necessarily in the action sequences or CGI.

The ending is exactly what she promises him. She will always be with him, no matter in what form. The title of the drama has been mentioned in parts of the dialogue. It's about a moment that could last in memory, dream or reality that last in eternity.

The ending is not open. The villains are predictable but the core part of this drama is not about that. It is about deep affection and what it means to love unconditionally. How even against adversity, you can find light. Nothing special may be the assessment of those that want twists and turns, or high octane visuals.

If you skip bits you will miss the details. The drama is in the dialogue.
