Good Enough
Korean Drama '' My Lovely Boxer '' is a sports drama focusing on the relationship between the athlete and her manager. The drama did a good job showing the girl's story, her struggles with her family and, especially, her dad, her dilemma when it came to her sport, with a love-hate relationship, her battle with the media and the sudden fame that deprived her of any personal space, and her isolation from others. So, when it came to her story, the drama did her justice.
However, that can't be said for the romance. If I have to be honest, I wouldn't have minded if it was just a friendship and they had left out any romantic notion between the main leads, as the side couple was cute enough and provided that light and fluffy atmosphere that the drama needed. Alas, the main love story was rushed to feat in the drama, and its progress was rocky with a more or less unsatisfying ending.
In addition, the drama would have benefited if they had added more sports scenes and handled the matches better. Sure, this isn't a sports-focused drama, but some excitement from a boxing match would have enhanced things when the plot started getting boring.
The performances, finally, were enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Korean Drama '' DNA Lover '' is a romantic comedy that tries to blend in romance with science. The drama has an original idea about DNA and love; alas, it fails to execute it. The result is boring, childish, and almost doesn't make sense at times. The main character seems too set on finding someone who checks all her scientific points, and the man simply tricks her into believing that he does. In addition to that, the love triangle lacked any chemistry to be believable and was not aided by the girl clearly seeing the second lead only as a friend.
Finally, the performances, at least, were all great, even though the main character was a bit annoying at times.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Not Good Enough
Korean Drama " The Fabulous " has pretty colours and bright lights, but no story. The drama focuses too much on the love story, which was boring and had no pace, while the love triangle was cheesy and cliche. And, unfortunately, it stole too much screentime that could had been used for the story between the four friends, which was more interesting and refreshing compared to the love story.
Also, the fashion industry was portrayed with too many stereotypes and never broke through them to make a more youthful, up to date, version of it.
On the other hand, the clothes were pretty and the performances enjoyable, though the leads had annoying characters.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Korean Drama 'Yumi's Cells' combines masterfully animation with a fluffy and yet realistic love story. The animation, first of all, was a hit or miss, and they did a great job creating this fun atmosphere that was both funny and necessary for giving an insight to the characters' thoughts and what motivated them to act as they did.
In addition, the love story was pretty sweet, with plenty of cute moments and a realistic outcome, that, however, will probably be better resolved in the second season. The whole drama of the love story was nicely embedded to the progress of the relationship and it was pretty realistic.
Finally, the performances were all great and the animation well made.
So, overall, 8.5 out of 10.

" Light On Series : Sisyphus " is an okay drama. The start was pretty smooth, with enough elements to keep things intriguing and make the viewer want to know more. However, the explanation of it, along with the way the drama handles the fantasy element, were less than satisfying. Thus, the drama ends up confusing and harf baked.
Other than that, the background stories-mystery of the main characters were pretty emotional, dark and twisty. The drama had also the right mood for those tragic events.
So, overall, five out of ten.

" She knows Everything " was a pretty suspencefull drama. The four episodes length did not limit the story that was presented in such a manner so that it fited in the length perfectly. The story itself was suspencefull, full of twists, thrilling action scenes and intrigues, as every character was not whom he seemed at the begining of the drama. The main case was also interesting and twisty. However, the two main characters were annoying at times.
Still, the family drama was intense, the performances pretty great and the atmosphere just perfect for this drama.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

" Into the Ring " is a pretty fun drama. It is character driven, with a quirky, dynamic leading lady who dominated every scene she was in. Nana did a superb job with her character and she is one of the best surprises of this year. She pulled Goo Se Ra off masterfully and without overdoing it. The rest of the cast did a great job as well.
As for the actual story, it combined comedy, romance and politics in a beautiful mix that was entertaining and not overbearing. The romance was realistic, subtle, as it didn't take time off the actual story, and it did help that the couple had chemistry. The comedy, in addition, was just enough, mainly produced by the character. Finally, the politics, with the corruption cases, were pretty intense, without being too complicated, confusing or tiring to follow.
However, one thing that the drama didn't handle well, apart from the odd camera work with the high angles and close ups, was the last episode. It was rushed, partial and just not what one should expect from a drama that was pretty steady up until then.
So, overall, nine out of ten.

The story combined many genres that usually the korean school dramas do, like bullying, pressure from family and society to excel, friendship angst, romance and social classes. And they did a good job with equally presenting them all, without letting the romance overtake the whole story and leaving the rest as fillers. The characters were all well written and the chemistry that the actors had between them helped a lot with the entertainment of the drama. The performances were pretty good from every one of the cast as well.
However, the concept of the one hundred days when students disappear was half baked and was only left in the first episode.
Still, the drama was good, so eight out of ten.

The start was more on the comedy side, with a fun spin on the "cartoon" bentos. The idea was entertaining, with the daughter - mother relationship being communicated via the lunch boxes. The addition of the cute side story was nice too.
The second part of the movie was more on the sad side, with the relationship going through the rocks and the twist towards the end. The performances were pretty good in that part too. Also, it was interesting that they concluded the stories in the end as well, even the side ones.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

First of all, for a drama called "Miss Lee" there was not much miss lee screen time. Miss Lee had a nice role at first, with the leading lady struggling to feat into her new role as a chairman of a company that's going down. However, later on they started focusing more on the other characters than her. Also, even though the drama had a nice slice of life story with a bitter sweet ending, there was something missing, probably intensity or interesting twists. The performances were good, nevertheless, from every actor and actress in the cast.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The family drama was solid and there were enough twists and intrigues to keep things interesting. The performances were pretty decent too. Probably the best part of the drama was the characters. Sure, some of them were cliche evil characters (see the stepmother) but overall the main ones were strong. The clash of the two main ladies was well orchestrated too. However, the male lead was overshadowed and his story had only some screen time towards the end of the drama. Also, the romance, although subtle, it was not necessary as it didn't really have time to progress. Finally, the ending was pretty good.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

What I like and appreciated about this drama was the ending. It was somehow happy and they gave the whole tragic illness a better and more optemistic spin.
The love story was really cute and warm as well, even though it started a bit awkwardly. The two actors had great chemistry and their romance was somehow realistic and sweet. The performances were really good as well.
So, seven out of ten.

The drama, although short, managed to be thrilling and had many action scenes as well. They kept the interest high thoughout the drama too. The mystery was entertaining as well, especially since they added that twist, which was unexpected and really good. The chemistry of the two friends, in addition, was great and helped the drama a lot. The performances were excellent too.
So, overall, seven out of ten.
