Is there any love triangles or is it just a sweet romance please spoil it for me.
There's a real love triangle and a pretend love triangle. The real love triangle is between Ko who likes Teng who likes Nuan (the girl who becomes Teng's girlfriend). The pretend love triangle is between Sek, Ko's brother, who likes (though pretends he doesn't) Tak who becomes Ko's boyfriend to make Teng jealous. Pretty complicated writing it out, but it makes more sense (er...kind of) when you watch the whole story-line.
I guess there's also kind of a mini love triangle between Sek and this girl who he likes in the beginning who's taking advantage of him, and Tak who likes Sek and tries to get Sek away from her because he knows she doesn't really like him and is just using him. Whew lol. Basically Tak and Sek like each other but they don't really admit it until the very end, so there's a lot of roundabout plot-lines to get there.
Um?!?! That word you used to describe Duen's eye-smile is a racist slur that is derogatory and offensive.
Lol wow. The fact that you're so defensive tells me everything I need to know. I don't think I said anything about you being 'racist' but congratulations on coming to that conclusion on your own, not everyone's that perceptive.
I'm so starting to get that this series, in many ways, is a complete parody of BL lol I was starting to get that impression during the "fight scene" (the fake smoke was a huge clue lmao) but I got that feeling even more in this episode. Which of course just makes me love the series all the more. I was a bit thrown at the top/bottom argument thrown in this episode at first...until we got to them sitting in a cafe having a much needed 'hallelujah moment' conversation that deconstructs this whole idea of top/bottom and who should be, shouldn't be, what they should look like, etc. I've even encountered this so many times in comments here it's ridiculous and I'm glad that they tried to tackle this topic. Particularly considering their demographic tends to fall into those tropes pretty hard. I'm really hoping (and I'm starting to suspect) that we're going to get a great resolution to this, hopefully with Bohn saying he doesn't care what "positions" they are because it doesn't matter *crossing fingers*. I also highly doubt Duen did anything to Bohn, I'm thinking he fell or something while drunk and that's why he's sore lol RamKing is perfect as always and I'm already super interested in the TharaFrong development. Still have no idea how they're going to make MekBoss work but I sincerely feel for Mek.
No problem at all, don't worry. I know some people get curious, and even care which character holds which role it's just never been something I've focused on. But definitely it gives their characters more dimension I think because we've only ever seen Frong how he is with Duen, so it'll be interesting once he and Thara's story starts developing :)
From what I understood Bohn was teasing Duen when he was late. That smirk after he turned around had me in stitches…
I'm glad you have someone to do that for you! Yeah definitely staying away from public transport is for the best right now. I live in AZ, and the valley is pretty vast so staying outside of the congestion of the city is pretty easy fortunately. I have friends in NY city and LA and I know it's been doubly hard on them.

I'm doing good. Though definitely starting to get a little stir crazy lol I've been working from home and have pretty much stayed home for nearly two months now, so yeah, it's setting in. I also am in my finals weeks (getting my MA) so doubly ready to tear my hair out. Luckily I live with my sister so there's lots of wine and RuPaul or post-apocalyptic movie parties to keep us sane (yes, we're the type of people who watch pandemic movies during a pandemic). We literally just went to stock up on some groceries the other day and got like six bottles of wine and the cashier said..."getting the essentials I see..." lmao we don't hoard toilet paper we hoard wine. I hope you and your loved ones are also making the most of things. It's a strange reality we're living right now.
Okay, I love this series, I really do – but that episode was a hot mess. From Bohn’s overreaction to Duen’s…
From what I understood Bohn was teasing Duen when he was late. That smirk after he turned around had me in stitches because he was milking the f' out of Duen thinking he was actually mad. I also died at the fact that he literally played himself by trying to get Duen to admit they were together in front of the kid flirting with him. Bohn in many ways is like a big kid, or an excitable puppy. I mentioned in my 'synopsis' lol of the episode above, that I appreciate that they showed the communication that happened after the fact and didn't draw it out into this huge drama like a lot of series do. They fought over something stupid, and talked it out pretty immediately afterwards which was great.
I also actually like Duen's friends being suspicious of Bohn and giving him a hard time. From their perspective he's put Duen through a lot, without much reciprocated effort. Even though obviously the scenarios are meant to be ridiculous I think it's pretty accurate when you have a close group of friends being introduced to a new love interest. I know my friends always give the new guy a grilling lol it's teasing but we also really do care about each other and obviously want to make sure the guy is being serious. I also agree with the comment earlier that the fight scene was comedy gold lol even better was the betting happening before it hahaha. It's all a bunch of silliness so I'm just embracing the lighthearted aspects of the series full force. I think this is a great time for a series like this since it's mainly just mental marshmallow fluff in the best ways. I hope you're doing well!
From what I understand from spoilers I've read of the novel, what Alysia said is true. I try not to subscribe to the whole seme/uke culture since I don't really care all that much lol but as far as I know Frong goes from being a seme pursuing Duen to being an uke in his relationship with Thara. Which is another thing I like about the series (and I wish the novel was translated so I could see how true this is), I like that the roles aren't what you would call "traditionally" defined. I really don't like when writers go with the basic stereotypes.
Bohn literally played himself in this episode lmao he likes to tease Duen but when ish gets real things aren't so funny anymore, are they? These two definitely make me smile as much as they're totally noobs when it comes to relationships and showing their actual feelings. I am so satisfied to see communication happen though, them pretty much immediately talking things over like a normal couple that gets in a fight over something stupid (we all know we've been there lol) was pretty refreshing. I also really appreciate that there's zero ambiguity over what their relationship status is and that both of them like each other. I kind of melted at Duen's little speech over not being ashamed, he's shy because he's new to this but he's not hesitant at all about Bohn which I love and think is really sweet. Obviously the ending was for comedic value, as most of the series is, and it was pretty effective. I was laughing my ass off at all of Bohn's friends betting against him.
I f'ing love King and Ram. They're honestly such an interesting pairing. Ram's interactions with King's sis were hilarious and the way he kept smiling at King's baby pictures *heart eyes*. Also, King wanting to raise a venus flytrap for him! Ugh! I've seen some of their teaser scenes in the trailer so I know what's coming and I can't wait.
Mek and Boss' scenes were also pretty great, I'm still not entirely convinced about how their relationship is going to play out. I don't know how they're going to realistically bring Boss' feelings into the mix, so we'll see how things continue on that end.
Frong and Thara's brief appearance at the end of the episode was intriguing only because they already have an interesting dynamic. Frong is definitely more of a diva than I realized after the last episode which again was unexpected and...I...kind of...like? Lol also the fact that Thara remains always a cool cucumber makes for a great combo. Did I misunderstand or was Frong the only one who bet for Bohn winning? I kind of love that if I understood that right lol also LMAO at Dr. Thara betting with Bohn's friends against him and being the stand-in medic.
All in all, this series is a riot of hilarious, unexpected and sweet moments. I'd recommend not dissecting it as one would with a more serious plot and just enjoying the ride because it's supposed to be funny and a little bit on the ridiculous side (for those barely getting into it it's set up like a rom-com or a sitcom to give you guys an idea of what to expect). I hope everyone else enjoyed this week's episode too!
Ya'll come on. This is a small production company that makes gay films from South Korea. You really would rather watch their content from a pirated source that's stealing their revenue, than just pay the nominal amount they're asking to watch it? smh.
Could you pls spoil the movie for me as much as possible pls,I want to know what gonna happen before I buy it:)
Honestly since it was so long ago I can't really remember the details. I know it mainly centers around the main character's journey to learning to love himself and it has a happy ending. I think the reviews up above are pretty accurate and tell more about the storyline. I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful!
People were worried and upset because in the novel there is definitely zero consent, and Vee actually deliberately…
I think the series will be fine, so I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about. I just decided to be more proactive in what I decide to support or not. If I'm vocal about not wanting to support certain tropes than I want to put my money where my mouth is lol knowing what I know of the plot and how sincerely disturbed I was reading even the small amount I did of the novel, I just didn't feel comfortable watching and supporting a series that is essentially rewarding that plot. I don't want to knowingly be a hypocrite. Plus, as much as I really like the actors portraying the main characters the undertone that's still there after reading the novel really skeeves Vee out for me. I kept mentally wishing he would just leave Mark alone and go away hah.

I think the series will probably be far more enjoyable than Tossara, I can already see the actors are carrying it much better. I'm still going to drop it, but I hope you enjoy it!
I checked out the first episode and at least was satisfied to see that the actively problematic parts were glossed over. As far as I can see at least they aren't trying to promote the rape-to-love storyline. Even with that, I found myself not entirely comfortable watching and inadvertently supporting a storyline like that getting picked up and rewarded with a series, so I'm just going to leave this for others who may enjoy it. I continue to really appreciate the actors though, it is a vast improvement from Tossara and I hope they continue to get more opportunities!
Okay. I wasn't going to watch this because of what I'd heard but someone encouraged me to watch. I'm actually…
People were worried and upset because in the novel there is definitely zero consent, and Vee actually deliberately hurts Mark because he enjoys it. It seems they've glossed over that in the series to make it more palatable for TV which is understandable, without that ambiguity, there would have been no way it was safe for broadcast. Still bothers me that a rape-to-love storyline got picked up again, but I supposed at least they're not actively promoting on broadcast?
I'm happy the company decided to fight back, I just wish that they hadn't needed to. The development has been great. What I like about Bohn and Duen is that they communicate, and there seems to be some great character development with Bohn. He started off self-centered and hot-headed like Duen said this episode, but slowly he's learning to curb those aspects of himself because he cares about Duen and wants to be a better person for him. I think it shows that sometimes you meet people who make you want to be a better person. I freaking love all the siblings, they add so much to the show haha. Ram and King are probably the most interesting couple I've seen on a BL in a while, their scenes have left me completely intrigued for the rest of their relationship (and they make one hell of a power couple haha). Even though Thara and Frong started off shaky, I kind of like the idea that Thara is going to "tame" the spitfire Frong lol Frong deserves to be happy too after he very maturely decided to be the bigger person in the almost love triangle situation. Mek and Boss are probably my least favorite but I'm still enjoying their characters, and I can appreciate Mek truly showing that you can selflessly love someone without expecting anything in return. Can't wait till next week!
