According to a LazySubber trans, they just changed the cast AGAIN. So...apparently this is still in the works, which is a good thing since I'm intrigued by the story-line, on the other hand...who knows when this will release. At least we know they're still dedicated to try and make this series happen lol

Short, cute, very slice of life. I liked it, though if I'm being honest I was feeling Kiko and David a bit more haha

I'm excited to see SBFive in a series together again (KimCop, need I say more?), the trailer looked funny and well produced! I hope the storyline is great, and if they are going to portray BL that they do it justice.

It was confirmed in the interview with the director the series will debut on 33HD Channel and Mellow in October. (seems like a pretty quick turn-around which is interesting...)

Just because there isn't french kissing (or any kissing) doesn't mean it can't be BL. Relationships are more than…
My main concern in any portrayal of romantic relationships, is that the relationship between the two people meant to be in love, or be falling in love, feel NATURAL. There doesn't have to be kissing, bed scenes, etc. In 99% of relationships there is absolutely nothing natural about two people who supposedly love each other, not showing any affection toward each other at all. I'll use an example the director used in his interview...while Love Sick will always hold a special place in my heart, that was a massive problem in the second season and why so many people were turned off. I think the first season really beautifully portrayed a young couple falling in love, it was sweet, and there was nothing about it that was overtly in your face when it came to PDA or the like. I remember binge watching the entire first season because I liked it so much. And my favorite scene? The scene where they hold hands unbeknownst to the two girls with them in the store. There was something so poignant, heartfelt and intimate about that scene, and guess what? No kiss! Season two that feeling was lost, and what made it twice as awkward were the very obvious fake kisses. I'd rather there not be a kiss, then a fake or worse a kiss that looks uncomfortable or forced. When you have a couple that looks like they can't stand to kiss each other, it's the worst. There is absolutely nothing wrong in portraying BL couples just as normally as non-BL couples. If you can't get actors who can play the role, or the director doesn't want to portray that side of relationships, just don't make a series about romantic relationships, period. Sorry, that was my rant, but it's super frustrating. Real couples hold hands, hug, are affectionate with each other and yes, do kiss so I hope the director keeps that in mind. If directors think there is something wrong, or obscene, about showing a natural relationship between two male characters they shouldn't be filming a BL series sorry.

Great ending. I was so happy with this series! It was very well written, rich in emotion and didn't shy away from showing that people and relationships aren't perfect. In fact, they're often a complicated, convoluted mess. I was also glad, that while they showed unsavory character traits, I wouldn't necessarily say the characters were beyond redemption which is great. I'm so happy they showed the characters growing and working through the hangups that come from being young, dumb and in love haha. I think I related to Third's character the most, and I loved that he went from a character used to giving everything of himself with very little in return, to a character that could stand up for what he deserved. He was so fiesty! I also loved that he was so tough on Khai when it would have been much easier (and probably satisfactory to some viewers) to have him just give in.

I was really impressed with the acting this series; there were so many familiar faces but you can see how much they've rounded out their acting over the years. This drama could easily have been over-acted but the subtleties were so well portrayed there were multiple times I found myself in tears, or cracking up or feeling my gut churn in anger on behalf of a character. I think the dialogue between the characters was so important, particularly in these last episodes, so I'm glad I waited until they were subbed before watching (I often spoil myself by watching without subs first haha). All around great series, one of the top this year for me right now.

i truly don’t understand why people are saying this drama is realistic lol. for me, it’s just as unrealistic…
Personally I felt like there was a good mix of realism vs contrived drama which was surprising to me since most "dramas" are usually chock full of unrealistic scenarios, especially in BL. Maybe because I've lived through a similar relationship, and been a "Third." Some people might find a character like that unbelievable but there are people out who are very much a Third and very much a Khai. I don't know, the characters felt very human to me, and I appreciated the flaws. I was fully engaged and entertained, there was humor without heavy cringe (looking at you Best Twins), I was moved emotionally and I could relate to a lot of the situations and emotions portrayed; but there were also moments where I wanted to tear my hair out and scream at the characters, which is I think pretty typical in an angsty series (if anyone has ever seen a Korean drama you'll know exactly what I mean haha). I don't think everything was meant to be completely believable, it is a piece of romantic fiction after all. But I think they did an excellent job at riding that fine line. Definitely one of the better series released this year I would think. Though for sure people's tastes vary, not everyone is going to like or agree on things and that's ok :)

I agree, I've always liked their dynamic together, even as friends. The variety show they have together is hilarious.

I totally agree. I really like this series. And, it's a great comeback after Our Skyy, which I thought was terrible…
Yeah, definitely. Our Skyy was cute, but I was left feeling a little unsatisfied. Though I have to admit that both of them playing each other was pretty priceless lol they did a really good job with that.

Apparently unpopular opinion lol but I love everything about this so far. The acting has been phenomenal and the storyline not unrealistic fluff. This is one of the only series that I've been able to relate to, and that's actually made me cry more than once. I'm so proud of Third for finding out his worth throughout the series, and standing his ground. He'd been hurt so much it was hard for him to trust again, but I'm also proud of him for trying again (that takes a lot of courage). I know angst is a standard in any drama for plot, so he'll be sad again I'm sure, but I appreciate the writing showing that you don't have to put up with a situation where you're unhappy and being taken advantage of, you can demand more and if you don't get it, move on. I also really loved that they made it incredibly difficult for Kai to have a new chance with Third. I was so pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a cliche quick reunion with everything being glossed over. Instead Third made it clear he wasn't going to be messed with anymore, he didn't want to be hurt anymore and if Kai wanted anything to happen between them he'd have to take the slow road and prove himself. Surprisingly I think this has turned into one of my favorite series released this year. Plus, can I also say the production and the series score has been excellent. This is making me even more excited for Dark Blue Kiss coming soon!

Well things certainly are revving up lol overall I think PhaYo's storyline is too cutesy for me, which is fine, it's just not my cup of tea. Loving the other couples though like I knew I would. I'm sorry but the actor who plays Forth is the most perfect specimen, he was the absolutely best pick for this character, I love him so much. If I'm honest I'd take a cast of New Forth, Old Beam; Old Kit, Old Ming (I can't let them go even though I don't mind the new MingKit at all, they're doing a good job); and New Yo with a whole new Pha since I don't particularly like God or Ben for the role. Any way, wishful thinking on my part...

I'm excited to see the couples play out. I can't help but skip most of PhaYo's moments but I'm drawn in to the other couples right now haha Forth's parting words in the latest episode were the perfect teaser.

Yeah, the sleeping kiss, while portrayed as "cute," in reality I'm sure would be jarring. Especially in this context. I wasn't surprised Third flipped at all, from his standpoint the kiss came out of nowhere after Khai's already had a track record of playing with his emotions. I think from Khai's standpoint he just doesn't understand why, if Third already liked him, things between them can't just pick up. He's almost making it worse because Third doesn't understand where all this is coming from. As always the downfall is lack of communication lol. The acting is most definitely great, I'm so proud of them all!

Okay. The more I watch of this, the more I think this entire thing is super toxic. Third is pissed off because…
I mean I can't blame him. He's lived for years on scraps of affection and manipulation from Khai (usually to serve his best interests). Third sacrificed, kept silent in order to save their friendship and was constantly pushed aside. Then finally, there's a glimmer of hope that he starts to reach for only to find out Khai messed with his feelings as some kind of test. Talk about kicking somebody when they're down. Plus, he's already watched countless times as Khai has wooed women, only to leave them in the dust when he's over it. After all that Third is suddenly supposed to trust Playboy (and supposedly straight) Khai that he's serious this time? I wouldn't trust in that either. After you break somebody's trust, it isn't as simple as coming back and pretending like all the history never happened. I think Third wanted to continue being Khai's friend, and is still trying but has distanced himself and put walls up because he's tired of being hurt. Literally the last time they had interacted before Khai left he ripped Third's heart out by forcing a kiss on him and calling out someone else's name, someone that I might mention was supposedly his girlfriend at the time. Then he reappears and without even having an actual conversation with Third and explaining things, he starts putting the moves on him. How confusing, frustrating and infuriating would that be to someone who's trying to move on with their life after the person they were in love with made it abundantly clear they didn't feel the same way. Khai put him through hell, but suddenly wants to be the one to decide that everything should be forgiven and should be rainbows and butterflies because he's realized he has feelings for Third. It's not that easy, and I'm glad they're showing that. Nobody deserves to be treated the way Third was, and Khai forcing Third to re-live everything when he's moved on (even if unintentionally) would make anyone upset. Khai has already played him, more than once, and Third is tired of being played. I think Khai has and did have some serious atoning to do. I get that he didn't understand fully, and later on became confused himself but that doesn't erase everything he did. Even not knowing about Third's feelings, he still took his friendship for granted and nobody should treat friends that way. I'd also point out we've had two episodes of Khai suffering, and six of Third. Personally I feel Khai deserves the life experience of seeing not everything will come easy to him. I'd also like to say good job to all the actors too, they've done a really great job.

I would agree that the acting this season isn't amazing, but I think both seasons are pretty equal in terms of…
I know that wasn't the main reason why they changed actors, there were issues with the contracts when the split happened (though to be quite honest, there is still a lot of misinformation and uncertainty as to what's true and what isn't about all of that). However, both the current production crew and Nong Noon both said they felt the acting last season wasn't great, and they were going to make an effort this season to get actors who could carry the parts better, so it was something that was considered and mentioned. I personally wouldn't agree that they've found "better" actors, but that's subjective. So yes, there were extenuating issues but to act like there was no cause for a lot of the anger fans experienced on behalf of the fact that last seasons cast was treated poorly in this whole situation is pretty obtuse.

No it wasn't, but both the current production crew and the author of the novel both brought up the fact that they thought the acting last season was subpar and it was partly why they re-cast the series. They also implied that the acting this season was going to be much better and that they were choosing the actors based on that, which wasn't the case. There was a reason there was so much drama surrounding this season in the first place, those behind this season weren't very gracious about the people who participated last season and many (myself included) felt that was super unnecessary. They handled the whole situation very poorly.

I'm going to have to stop reading the YouTube comments because the acting this season is not any better, and I…
I would agree that the acting this season isn't amazing, but I think both seasons are pretty equal in terms of acting quality. There's good moments, and there are bad moments. Primarily I think the problem is that they, again, went with rookie actors. I think it wouldn't bother me so much, if they'd treated the previous cast better when they decided to re-cast, and hadn't made overtures implying that the acting was going to be massively better this season. I think it was pretty shit for them to heavily criticize the actors from last season, when this season they're on a level playing field. They could have easily continued on with the original cast and worked to better their skills, but made a conscious decision not to, which is fine but the way they went about it could have been better. The people heavily praising this season, while trashing last season are just as bad, I don't think that's necessary. I'm happy with the majority of the current cast, but I wouldn't say they were "better" actors than the ones we had last season. I think people are going a bit overboard in their praise in an effort to be supportive because this season already had so much hate building up to it. Though if we're honest there aren't a lot of BL series that have stellar acting lol so it could be just people going off what they know.
