Title The Effect
I've heard there's a version of the story that's pretty dark and twisted so I'm going to wait to watch until the end after I've seen what people have to say about it. Yes, I'm a coward haha but I'm worried it might be too triggering. So put in lots of spoilers everyone lol

Title 3 Will Be Free Spoiler
I am not sure how I am feeling about this drama now...lol. I mean, are we to suspend belief and really think that…
I don't think it's that he turned into a "ninja" or lost his fear. In this last episode you could see in the moments he was alone he was scared but resigned. I think there are a combined number of reasons he's doing this. For one, he wants this to be over, particularly for Shin and Miw whom he cares about and he feels responsible for putting everyone in this situation. He feels like he needs to end things because he feels he set things in motion and deserves the consequences of what will happen even if he's still scared (the bathroom scene at the end when he'd been shot and the way he reacted when he saw Shin I think perfectly portrayed that he was scared and didn't really want to die but was trying to be strong). There's also the added element of his brother. His brother who always tried to protect and take care of Neo even when Neo was being selfish, ended up dying because of him. I think it really affected him, particularly because his character had already grown beyond the selfish person he'd been in the beginning. Him being around Miw and Shin taught him to put others before himself. It's interesting to me that he's going after Shin's dad, when technically Ter and Mae are the reason his brother died. There's a reason I think he's doing that. He knows that Shin's dad being gone is the only way both Miw and Shin will be free, particularly Shin. If he survives and Shin's dad dies all three of them will be able to move on, if he dies but still succeeds at least Shin and Miw will be out from under him. I also think for quite a while he's stopped running. For example when Shin got taken by Boss John, he didn't run then either, he went back for him even if it could have resulted in him dying. So his character has definitely developed from the person he was when the series started. I don't know, that's just how I see it.

Title 3 Will Be Free Spoiler
Well maybe is just me but judging from this week episodes and preview for final it seems our theory about 'shin…
I never understood why people thought he was going to turn into a villain to begin with, doesn't that seem completely outside his character? It would have been pretty unbelievable to me for him to turn into not only a bad guy, but a version of his father, which he hates. Add to that the whole series he's been nothing but compassionate and selfless...

I think people are completely misreading this series and it's unfortunate because it's so good! I think what people might be missing is that the characters have slowly developed and grown throughout the series by being around each other. They most definitely aren't the same people they started out as. Neo, in the beginning, was self-absorbed and narcissistic even if he wasn't necessarily a "bad" guy, Miw was rightly only out for herself to survive in a world that forced her to grow hard edges, and Shin had zero confidence in himself and no self-worth, he was drifting through life without aim. Through being together Neo grew to put others before himself, Miw learned to not only trust again but that it's ok to be vulnerable with the right people, and Shin learned that not only is he worthy of love, he has the strength to accomplish anything. It's like they were all imbued with a bit of each other that they were all missing Miw's resilience and fighting spirit, Neo's self-confidence and free spirit and Shin's compassion and heart. I've really been so impressed by the storyline. I'm still rooting that they'll end up together at the end, but even if they don't I think they will all forever be changed by their experience and love for each other. And yes, I do think they all love each other.

I really also loved that they included Mae's story, they portrayed her struggle and character so well! Everything about this series has been inclusive, forward-thinking and it a lot of ways painfully real. There's something that's very human about it. I've related so much with Miw's character as a woman living in a "man's" world. Great job to the actors and the whole team, they really put in their best effort and it shows. I'm only sad more people couldn't get behind it, we need more series like this one.

I can't wait to watch this, even though I'm already expecting to be in tears and heartbroken by the end.

Do we have to put labels on everything? Just saying...I don't know that just kind of bothers me. I think sexuality…
No, I know, I'm sorry if you felt bad by what I said. That wasn't my intention at all. I was only bringing up my personal opinion, it's an interesting discussion that I think this series sparks.

Not necessarily, I don't believe you have to consider yourself bisexual if you happen to have feelings or an attraction to an individual person, regardless of gender. You can be attracted to the opposite sex, but still fall in love with a person of the same sex and that be the only person of the same sex that ever happens with (also vice versa). Already there are 8 different sexual orientations that are recognized, in addition to that there are 8 different romantic orientations, all different. So personally with so much variation, and potential for variation even beyond that I feel love and attraction is much more complex than the black and white labels society places on them. A person can identify however they feel both within and outside those categories. Though I suppose this is a conversation beyond a simple drama lol

I agree. I think people more have a problem with the poly-amorous relationship, so they're projecting.
Agree 100% with everything. You and I must be watching a different series lmao Miw is hands down one of my favorite female characters I've seen in these dramas. Plus the actress who plays her (Mild) has done such a fantastic job. I really think the three of them balance each other out so well, and personally I love their dynamic but everyone has different viewpoints. Though starting out I did expect this series would be unpopular, especially with the BL crowd.

There's a lot about this series that I really love. The writing for one has been really good, I'm impressed with where they're taking the storyline, and while yes, it is a drama so you do have to suspend disbelief at some points, there are a lot of real-world takeaways that keep blowing away my expectations. I hope they take this all the way through and really depict the three leads as a poly couple (or throuple as I like to call them lol), but even if they don't it was a good effort. Still in love with the dynamic of the three of them together, for me they balance each other out so it totally makes sense that they'd be in this together, relationship or not. Still think Miw is f'ing awesome and I love her. Not surprised to see her getting a bad rap since strong female characters tend to get the short end of the stick but she's a complete badass and I so love that they're showing a woman who is strong, capable, knows what she wants and is completely comfortable with who she is and her sexuality. She's not taking any BS from any man lol I think Neo is also pretty misunderstood but more than anything I think people checked out with the poly element. We'll have to see how this plays out, but so far one of my favorite series released this year.

So is Shin gay or not ?
Do we have to put labels on everything? Just saying...I don't know that just kind of bothers me. I think sexuality is way more fluid than people care to realize. You can be gay (primarily attracted to the same sex) or straight (primarily attracted to the opposite sex) and find that you have an emotional and physical connection to a person you may never have thought you could feel that way about. That doesn't necessarily change how you identify.

I don't get why people think that Neo and Miw are being fake with Shin? I feel like their bond is real
I agree. I think people more have a problem with the poly-amorous relationship, so they're projecting.

MingKit remain the superior couple. I'm glad I finally got some closure after waiting so long to see their storyline play out. There were things about the series I enjoyed and things I didn't enjoy but overall they did a good job! All I know is that after being introduced to Phoom, he better be getting his own series after this.

So... will Neo always have a shirtless scene in each episode? Haha
let's all pray this into reality

So so so good. If anyone can pull of being a throuple it's these three, I love all of their dynamic together lol Miw is a total badass, I love her. Neo is (not only hot, jesus) a solid guy, I think he'd be a good foundation for both Miw and Shin to lean on (when they need it, Miw can handle her shit lol). And Shin is such a sweetheart, he just wants someone to love and care about him. I can't wait until the next episode airs. The writing is fantastic, so much truth being told in this series. I really love how they're highlighting stories and realities that aren't always told. And can I also say how much I love Jennie's role, I wish we had been able to see more aspects of Mae's relationship to Phon but another strong character. The writers are really showing a variety of people from different backgrounds, and the lives they live, good and bad. GMMTV is killing it this year.

Well, we know from English shows a change in cast is never a good thing. But, from what we see from 2Mooms it…
I think this is a little different though. A cast change isn't that big of a deal because nobody has ever seen this series, so no one is attached to an actor playing a specific character, which was the problem in 2Moons. It's hard to connect a character with a new actor, once it's already been developed by someone else. In this case, I think the concern is more that they're going to run out of funding before they get the project off the ground, this is I'm pretty sure the third or fourth time they've changed the cast so there's definitely some internal issues.

LazySubber said more than half of the book centers primarily around SunMork so I'm even more excited. Hopefully the series is reflective of that. Not that, of course, I mind PeteKao but I don't want them to mess with their relationship too much.

This was so great! Super heartwarming, but also hilarious. I loved all the characters, and was so impressed/happy with all the themes and issues that were brought up throughout the series. 100% would recommend, so worth watching.
