He's saying another girl's name: "Prao." "I love you, Prao". Something like that.
Sorry, I wasn't very clear, I meant during the very end, the last scene of the episode lol where Khai was talking to his friend about everything that's happened so far with Third
Ok. Whatever is going on between Two and An, I'm so here for it! These two are such a surprise and totally intriguing, not what I was expecting at all. I highly doubt they'll end up together, but if they did it would bump this series way up in my esteem. Still want to kick Khai's ass lol and I can't wait for him to start feeling the loss of Third, but i get the complications between his likely confusion, the miscommunication between the two of them and his obliviousness just not helping things at all. And can I just finish by saying how proud I am of Gun and Off (and really all the actors this series, because both White and MIke have been super impressing me) for their amazing characterization? The emotions they've put into their scenes are spot on. I was absolutely gutted during the bathroom scene and teared up at the end of the episode. I really need to know what Khai was saying during that part.
ok honestly, phayo is still pretty boring to me. to be fair, i can definitely see how they’ve improved from…
Are you me? Am I the only one who nearly keeled over at the way Kit was checking out Ming when he walked up to Beam asking where Yo was then walked away? LOL I can't wait until the gym and dinner scenes. I swear if they cut their scenes and keep all the PhaYo interactions I'm going to be really sad, they hard-carried season one and I'm pretty positive I'm going to continue to be way more interested in their pairing this season as well. Totally OT from the current topic but I'm not going to lie Yo and Forth are more of a pairing I could get behind lmao
from what I heard, Episode 1-3 will be a recap of the book 1 (From original) then we're starting from where it…
No, I know lol I'm waiting for the series to pick up after episode three. I know people like Phana and Yo's story but personally for me, whenever the focus is on them things start to lag, even in the books. I think part of the problem is that we've all waited this long to finally get to see from book 2 onward, so it's hard to slog through the first parts all over again, though I completely get why they decided to re-hash things to introduce the new actors. I'm really starting to wonder if Phana's character is just too dry, that's two actors now where I don't really like his characterization. I know things start to get more emotional between Pha and Yo towards the end of the books so maybe that will change my perspective.
Thank God we got a bit of MingKit finally this episode, I forgot how interminably boring PhaYo's story can get when it's just focused on the two of them. If I remember correctly I skipped the majority of the first season for this exact reason. Hopefully once we start getting into the meat of the series it'll get better and the pace will pick up a bit. Knowing what I know of Beam and Forth's storyline I'm anticipating them getting started too.
Ok, things are starting to get really interesting. If what I think is happening with An is actually happening that would be one hell of a twist. I'm also happy to see that Third is recognizing that he doesn't need to put up with mistreatment, and I applaud the fact that while he has feelings for Khai it's obvious he's not blindly in love with him, he completely see's his faults he just can't help his feelings. I feel like most people have experienced a love or infatuation where you feel like an idiot for continuing to go back, until you finally reach the point where you just can't take it anymore. It's painful to watch, but I can relate having been there at some point in my life before I realized I was worth way more than what I was putting up with. In the end if Khai and Third end up together Khai is going to need some serious character development and groveling before I think he's worthy of Third. I applaud the acting, it's been gut-wrenching every time. This episode was really good, that scene in the cafe where Two and Bone stood up for Third was the best, at the very least he has two good, supportive friends who love him and just want him to be ok. Also can I just say Third getting bitchy is everything, you tell that mofo where he can stuff it Third.
I enjoyed the first episode so we're off to a good start! Still quietly anticipating more MingKit lol but I'm starting to fall in with the other characters too. There was a point where I started feeling like it was dragging a bit, but I think that's just how it's written because I remember feeling that way reading the novel and watching the first season with PhaYo's storyline. There's something about it that just doesn't sweep me away, but I think the series is going to be a good one. There was some stiff acting here and there, but since everyone is pretty much rookie actors (from what I've heard) I wasn't expecting all that much. One thing I do wish they'd stop is the overreaction by anyone in the room, any time Phana walks by lol it's too cringe and pretty distracting. While Ben is handsome in his own right (his looks are growing on me), he's nowhere near the level to inspire that sort of reaction. Sorry if this is coming across too critical, I'm wanting to come into it with a discerning eye since this is the second attempt at this, imo it should be held to a high standard.
The only two who don't seem to really fit for me right now, are the person that plays Phana and the one that plays Beam. They really don't make any sense to me based on the novel, and I'm slightly concerned by the fact that when Nong Noon and the directors kept talking about casting they kept describing the way the actors "looked" not that they blew them away with their acting skills which was - I thought - the whole reason they re-casted. If they were just going to put everyone through acting sessions, they could have just done that with the previous cast and only replaced Godt. I'll reserve my judgement until I've watched the series, but I don't know how this is going to go. I think I'll be pretty annoyed if the acting is subpar after all this mess. I can already tell that MingKit is still going to be my favorite couple by far hah.
Okay, I am invested in this crazy story and will watch to the end, lol! But, serious question: what do you think…
This is a very good example of the reality that you can't help who you love. Unfortunately in the real world, love is all too often not a fairy tale. I've had friends be in relationships that I didn't understand at all, but they still for some reason loved their partner. Sometimes the reasons you love a person don't make any sense to other people, it would be nice if every person had the perfect love story or the perfect partner but that's just not realistic. I'm not saying that Khai's behavior is excusable, or that I feel like Third should put up with it, absolutely not. I'm just saying love can be this complicated and frustrating in reality and perhaps the writer was trying to depict that.
I'm really sad this is ending, I enjoyed the whole series so much! One of the best to be released this year. I can't wait to see what's next from the HIStory world.
I'm excited. Based on the teaser the production value might not be stellar but I think it will still be good. Mew is so adorable in the teaser already lol
Decided to English sub episode 18 as well! Here's a download link for it:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Uu2iS91mr9aZ-y6K8mdeDRHwkvFKc_zr/view?usp=sharingUnfortunately…
The plot wasn't perfect, but I also agree that they really raised the bar for this HIStory. I wish they could've…
Fellow ARMY! YoonJin are my two ults lol it's hard to only have one bias. Well from my pov no plot is perfect, so I'm ok with that. I'm so glad this wasn't all fluff (even if I do enjoy a good fluff now and then haha), or all silly comedy I felt like the comedic elements were smart and well-placed, it was a good break from all heavy drama. They put serious effort into making this a story with depth, not only with the characters but with the evolving mystery as well. There are some plot holes for sure, but I definitely applaud them for the effort of continuing to improve and develop a different type of BL. I appreciate so much that they steered clear from the usual dramatic plots that interfere with the actual relationship of the characters. They tend to be more realistic about how their characters come together and fall in love, and I appreciate that a lot. I'm also personally not bothered when secondary characters don't get developed fully, as going into a series my main focus is always on the main characters as I know that's the story they're wanting to tell. So I get the complaints, but unless the MC sucks, I don't invest too much in the secondary characters, they're only truly there for plot-fill 99% of the time. So not perfect, but leaps and bounds above any BL we've had come out since probably Boundary Crossing and LBC haha.
Wow, the last two episodes were amazing. The storyline is so riveting and compelling, the emotional quality from the actors is outstanding. I can't wait to see what's next for History, because Trapped definitely took things to a new level. I'm sad it's ending next week, but I'm excited for a conclusion.
Great first episode. They already have me intrigued. Plus the actors are doing so well. Gun as always is excellent, but I know Off is doing a good job or I wouldn't want to kick his ass so damn bad lol luckily from what I've seen in the teaser the time will come when Khai pays for all the hurt he's causing now. I really hope I don't get second lead syndrome though, usually when the lead is a jerk I like the second lead for the love interest.
