is this really deserving of 9+ or is it just because of Lu Si. I could barely get through eps 1&2 because of Lu Si's character. seeing the rating go up, makes me want to try it again
I think the "white hair" trope is pretty common in costume dramas...this one is actually pretty good.
if the supernatural was a part of it. but no characters in this series are immortals or have any super power, or use magic. for a 100% human to grow grey hair overnight is absurd.

I really liked Longest Ballad. although they weren't intimate they had great chemistry. but these two don't even have that. their relationship has seemed like a chess game.

this series has the stupidest military officials and strategists in all drama land. this strategist, and generals looked like gi joes toy figurines being controlled by kindergartners.

not much going on, fighting is subpar, I'm only on episode 2, but I think I'll be dropping it soon. it has a weird comedy vibe when characters are so stupid or outrageous , it's a turn off.
all the male leaders are fools. female master is weird.
there is no strong sensible character.
and I was really thrown off when the female master was trying to kill a kid
it started off so good then the lies just got stupid. not crazy just stupid. what wife would tell their husband that they had an abortion vs a miscarriage...plain stupid
watching this series the white has come off my FF buttons...lol j/k
