First ep in and I see this series has one of those stupid FL that just accuses ppl without any real investigation.…
There really have been some good ones lately. This is disappointing to hear but I’ll check it out with this in mind.
On Blossoms of Power Dec 23, 2025
After Speed and Love, I was REALLY hoping we could leave the haters behind and stop having the comments section filled with unnecessary negativity about the FL, but here we are again. Advice to everyone as over it as I am: if you see a hate comment, there is no point in engaging. This community allows you to block users. Just do that and you'll never see another one of that person's comments. I had to apply that liberally on the Speed and Love page, and I guess I will here, too. FUN FACT: chemistry is between two people, not all manufactured by only one. He Yu didn't make that chemistry in Speed and Love all on his own. It's crazy how actors playing the ML get all of the credit and their costars, the actresses playing the FL get all of the hate.

I was unaware that apparently so many people think Meng Ziyi is a "terrible actress". I don't even understand what people are complaining about. Blossom was great. The Princess's Gambit had bad writing and not great directing, either, that just sort of meandered through the plot after a fairly strong start. The actors did their best but they didn't have good material to work with. It's crazy to me that somehow people are making that all MZ's fault.

you will see them again. He gets out a bath tub like and puts his robe on you can see them flexing. 🥴😭🥰
I saw that in the trailer and thought "oh, at least the director knew how to make use of what he had" ha ha ha.

What are the chances of seeing He Yu’s biceps in this one? 😉😏🤌🏻
Totally relevant question. I am going to miss all of those sleeveless shirts in Speed and Love.

In the comments section who you guys are comparing Yi shuxin and Meng Ziyi can you guys just plz Stop. It's annoying.…
IKR?? I couldn't believe some of the Meng Ziyi hate I've been seeing. I adore her and have since Blossom. I also really enjoy Esther Yu. Like...why do fans seem to accept MLs just fine, but when it comes to the actresses there is so much hate? Speed and Love comments were SO full of haters who could not stop picking Esther Yu apart for everything from her voice (which was NORMAL in that drama, not overly cutesy) to her clothes. I'm SO over it. HALF of the chemistry in any drama is the FL. The ML doesn't do it all himself.

Hello! Can someone share a spoiler? Is this a happy ending? I mean, are the main leads happily ever after, both…
Yes, it is a happy ending, although it APPEARS like a noble sacrifice at first, but BIG SPOILER, his death is fake and after a several year time jump he comes back and they do have their HEA.

How likely is it for it to come out in the first three months of 2026? I really want to watch it soon 😣
Who knows? Speed and Love is being called his breakthrough role. They may push up its release to try and capitalize on his current rise in popularity.

His leg didn't get amputated, but he got really injured!
Thank you!

Can't they produce one normal romcom with simple happy happy story for the main leads without any breakups and…
Well, this isn't really a rom com, it's an action romance. But yeah, the third act "break up" is pretty much all romance genre 101 for writing, so....very rarely does it not happen in some capacity, and since our ML is an underground fighter/street racer also doing UC work for the police, the type of trauma was always going to be something like this.

I can't go into these episodes without knowing, someone please spoil me, RE: do they do the same thing in the novel and amputate his leg, or does he just get severely injured?

The clips we've seen from later episodes (him in a long tan coat, or a tan sweater) look like he has both legs.…
Oh, that is very possible! Good to know. I haven't read the novel and was only going by spoilers I know from other people.

Ohh! ! What will happen next episodes ?! Will the director follow the novel and Zhao will have leg aumputated,…
The clips we've seen from later episodes (him in a long tan coat, or a tan sweater) look like he has both legs. They look like clips from after the time jump, so....I'm guessing no amputation. Maybe just an injury?

Wow, really! I loved LGIEF, but found her acting in it a little over the top at times. (No hate; I like Esther…
Oh, I see! Yeah, it gets A LOT better. In the beginning there's a lot of long silences used to communicate how awkward they are with each other. It gets a lot better I think not too far from where you're at. Keep going, I don't think you'll regret it! LOTS of great dynamic between them later. Like, almost an insane amount.

Currently on ep 3I usually don't watch cdrama modern drama but I heard a lot of hype around this one and ermmm....…
Wow, really! I loved LGIEF, but found her acting in it a little over the top at times. (No hate; I like Esther fine, it's just that when she leans TOO far into her "cutesy" brand, it can be too much. I DNF'd Ski Into Love because of that). I've actually found her to be perfectly cast for the role of Jiang Mu, and don't find her over the top here at all. And I think both leads are doing a great job with the acting. Just interesting how people experience the same dramas differently. What about her acting do you find really bad here? I do think you might get used to her portrayal of the character ad the show continues. IDK, those early eps feel so far away now after everything that's happened in the show!

If I had known about the series while it was being filmed, I would’ve sent an air conditioner to He Yu in Thailand.…
You should see the BTS footage! In the scene where he carries her up the stairs and then she stands on his feet, he is sweating SO badly! In between takes they put cooling patches on his neck and wiped sweat from his face, and he was clearly suffering. The moment he could, he took of the jean jacket he was wearing.

The policeman telling Jin Zhao to do things, is it correct/ethical to use a civilian for your administrative task…
I mean...IRL police organizations use "civilians" who can more easily get an in with these crime organizations all of the time, often people with records of their own (like Zhao) who agree to this dangerous work (the police promise to protect them as best as possible, of course, but there is no denying it's dangerous work) in exchange for some benefit that can give them a better chance in the future, ie, immunity from a crime they committed, clearing something off their record, etc. This is not that far fetched of a storyline. No one is forcing the civilians, they agree to do it voluntarily. They are often called confidential informants and their use is definitely an ethical question, but it absolutely happens.

I'm also noticing there's "less" censorship. Is it because the setting is in Thailand hence why the restrictions…
Could be! IDK, I haven't noticed this being too over the top, I guess. But I felt like the kissing scenes we got in Love in the Clouds were 🔥, for example. Or Deep Affection Eyes had some really great scenes. I think this drama FEELS less censored because we're getting SO MUCH tension. Like...so much. The actors are really excelling at selling those moments where they're just looking at each other but you can feel the chemistry on fire. And things like the hand holding scene in 15 that felt honestly even more intimate than the kiss they shared on the roof. But at the end of the day, all of those are "chaste" scenes. Nothing is actually happening in them of a truly suggestive nature, so maybe it feels less censored but the censor board din't find anything too egregious to make them cut.

It's crazy! I block users on MDL who are unnecessarily negative or spam negativity, and usually it's maybe one per drama. Often none at all. I've blocked three people so far, and it would likely be more if I came here more often.

What the WHAT? Okay, I've seen some crazy stuff go down in k-pop fandoms. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But IMO the people that do this are not really fans. They thrive on negativity, not the positive shared enjoyment of something that fandom should be.
