Ok so they are really dumb if they actually fall for this and believe it was Bai, when they have a literally psychopath…
It's pretty obvious the good guys have done some things to entrap the bad guys, IMO. First of all, LJL is cunning and shrewd, and so is RSB. They have somehow arranged things so the "bad guys" think they've succeeded, but it's all an elaborate trap for them to fall into.

We had several "tells" for the audience when stuff went down. 1. Wanwan's face remaining covered - even the bratty sister was suspicious of that and tried to get a look, but was stopped. RSB controlled that entire scene - possibly with the help of the one sister or cousin who stopped the bratty one from looking at Wanwan's face. She made sure the "body" was taken away before WW could wake up from whatever she's been given to be fake dead.

My theory is the maid they tried to use told RSB everything. When JLJ rushed to her side and then was about to do something, she grabbed him in a tight hug, and you could tell was whispering something to him. Telling him to follow her lead, or something that made him settle and trust her. Previews for next episode show her sitting there looking unnerved with Mr. He is pushing his agenda at her - definitely letting him tighten his own noose. RBS knows Wanwan saw something about Yang's murder. And now she's taken steps to protect Wanwan, fool everyone into thinking the murder plot succeeded, and catch He in the process. I just don't think she had time to completely loop in JLJ, although it's possible he knows more than currently appears. These shows love to fool us and then go back and show us things that happened that we didn't know about.

I don't understand where you are seeing that. In the calendar thread posted by BaekhyunoonaID in recent discussions, scroll down to like the fourth picture maybe, and it shows the official calendar. No episode today (the 3rd in China) and ep 13 tomorrow (the 4th in China).

Oh, sorry. No new siblings have appeared up to currently aired eps. It would be nice if there IS a new one that she could actually be a decent person, though, instead of backstabbing like the rest.

Everyone in comments asking about why no episode, or surprised about the schedule....scroll up. Just above the comment section is "recent discussions". Most shows, including this one, post the official Calendar as released by the distributor there. It will show what episodes are scheduled to air on what days. Additionally, if you keep scrolling up, you'll see above the cast "where to watch" which shows the official distribution channels for the show (in this case, Mango, IQIYI and Viki). Mango and IQIYI air the episodes exactly as the calendar says. (Viki might as well, but also sometimes gets eps a day or two behind. I haven't checked for this show.) If you are watching this show "somewhere else" those places are not official/legal distributors of the show, - they get the eps because someone illegally downloaded them from one of the official channels and uploaded it. So no, none of them will have episodes outside of the calendar schedule either.

Right above the distribution channel section is a countdown timer on this page. It shows you how long you have to wait until the next episode drops. In this case, currently 22 hours and 49 minutes.

i wanna ask, is there any rong siblings that haven't appeared? Because Rao jiadi also name as RONG yunzhen , but…
No one can answer you for sure. This show is not following the novel and even if it was, the characters in the novel are all named completely different (no Rong family at all, it's Ye there). So you know what everyone knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here is one of Liu Qing's verticals with (rumored) wife Bai Yun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0L8wOCN4bM
They are really great! Their dramas always feel just a little more mature somehow even with the same tropes.

IDK, but that's not an official site, right? Do they have all the way up to ep 12 currently? People watching it on IQIYI with the SVIP sub are up through 12, and no new episodes are dropping until tomorrow.

I don't know who needs to hear this but I've seen a few comments from people saying that even though his character in the drama is despicable, (Yang) actor Liu Qing is quite handsome, and yes he is! Fun fact: he's quite a prolific vertical drama actor, often pairing with actress Bai Yun, and like many popular vertical drama couples, they are rumored to be dating IRL - and unlike with long form actors, it's actually not at all uncommon for real life vertical drama couples to pair up and even get married! The vertical dramas tend to have spicier intimate scenes, and being couples IRL means there isn't any awkwardness about filming those together. So several popular RL couples pair together to film and their RL pairing helps drive the popularity of their dramas.

ANYWAY, if you don't mind stories that lean hard in to "cheesy" or "toxic" romance tropes (ie, domineering ML, FL often put in extreme power imbalance situations, plots that make ZERO sense but all serve putting the ML and FL together in improbable but somehow intimate situations, etc) verticals are a quick, entertaining watch and are worth checking out.

Similarly Richard Li who plays He is from short web form dramas and often plays the same kind of "domineering" or "toxic" ML there. He is WILDLY popular and has a huge fan following.

Yes, very true. I do think she admired the ML for himself and how skilled and clever he is even while she was still focused on him "helping her cousin".

I agree with you. He should not have been in the line up at all because servant and no known identity even if…
He was never actually a servant. He never had a indenture making him an official servant, and while yes, it flies in the face of "expectation" for her to marry someone currently considered a "commoner" (because people don't know his true identity widely), it's been made very clear that the Rong family allows their women to choose their husbands themselves, and the most important considerations are the skills and intelligence to carry on their thriving business to future generations. They are a merchant family, not nobility, and those skills and intellect are the whole point of the contests the grandmother set up for all of the suitors. Ultimately the FL gets to choose her husband, but it should be someone actually intelligent, skilled, and able to be an equal in their tea empire. This is WHY other characters said the ML was a candidate after the tea ceremony aspect of the contests, because he had clearly outdone many of the other candidates.

It is getting more tedious with each new episode. It is literary desperate Chinese housewives of ancient time.…
It's like you're not even watching the same drama! It shows pretty clearly how he schemed his way up from "stable boy" to marriage candidate, and the FL allowed it and even encouraged it as she slowly grew to trust him, even rely on him, and grow feelings for him. It's not confusing at all. Also, it's VERY clear the "inappropriate" candidate blackmailed her into choosing him because he knows something about that bracelet and leveraged it to force her to choose him. And she has NEVER considered the ML a mere servant. She KNOWS who he really is. And her choosing to spend the night with him and "marry" him is an emotional choice where she is very clearly torn about what she "should" do to protect the family vs. following her heart, and she chose to follow her heart at the last minute.

I really do not understand why people are struggling to follow this story.

No. I mean in the earlier episodes when the men were all trying to come up with a gift for her and he literally tried to gift himself with a seduction style scheme. 😂

does anyone know if its original script or adapted from a novel, does the drama have other arcs?
There is a novel but it bears literally ZERO resemblance. I took a look, and the novel doesn't even use the same character names, and the only thing that seems the same is the family is a big tea family. In the book, she's a modern woman who occupies the body of the tragic "third daughter" of this family, which suffers ruin due to various calamities and she is married to an abusive a-hole. The transmigrated character saves the family and gets rid of the a-hole husband. In my skim I couldn't even identify a character who might have been LJL, so I think the drama is a completely different story.

I think he is the murderer! Even though he didn't "appear" to be there yet....I bet he planned this and is the one who offed his brother.
