They were both adults and able to make their own decisions. When Jing offered the 15 year promise, XY could've said no if she wanted to. It's not like he threatened her or blackmailed her, she had feelings for him too at that time. She agreed to wait 15 years knowing he had a fiancé. XY doesn't have God's eye so she can't see what the audience sees. But we as audience knows that Jing tried many times to cancel the engagement while still trying to preserve FFYY's dignity because being rejected by Tushan family would surely ruin any girl's reputation. Jing didn't lead XY on, he kept giving her updates like when he talked to his grandmother and what she said etc. So XY knew what she was involved with too.

IT's crazy to me that people get mad at Jing for doing the right thing. Even when he and XY broke up, at the time he knew he was drugged and thought he got sa'd now ffyy is pregnant so ofc he has to marry her, that's the responsible thing to do at the time. but I see comments getting mad at him for that too. He can never win with XL fans no matter what he does you all see it as wrong anyways.

these are definitely not girl's girl type...they're all xl fangirls that excuse all his toxic behaviors because they think it's hot. It doesn't matter to them if she isn't willing because again they don't care for XY, their priority is XL.

They only care about XL. They continuously make excuses for his behavior towards her over and over again. If XL hurts her, literally causing physical pain to her, this can be excused because "He's just pushing her away " nonsense. it still doesn't change the fact that he is hurting her. I notice a lot of XL fans are too ok with XL hurting XY as long as there is a reason behind it. Like him trying to drown her, him hurting her...maybe they are into sadomasochist stuff so it's all so romantic to them.

Same. At first I thought why XL called Jing that but later rewatching I see it as just friends calling each other names. Sometimes I call my friends names vice versa but it’s not like we actually mean it

I think in the novel Jing didn’t know where XL took XY after crashing the wedding and wasn’t expecting for her to go find him. I also think that TSJ knows XL is loyal to his men therefore why would he think XL would gamble on that, there is no need for it. Because they’ve been in “business” together for hundreds of years so if anything TSJ and XL should know each other quite well or well enough.
I think tsj just wanted xl to stop XY from getting married but it’s not that he wanted her back because he was still married and hasn’t cleared himself of what happened with him and FFYY so why would he expect XY to run to him? That part in the drama I didn’t understand because he said he was giving her a chance to choose it didn’t make sense. It’s inconsistent imo.

well it's BEFORE Huo hurt Jing so right now ofc Jing is weaker he lost half? his spiritual powers but in the drama literally just had him standing there...

So disappointed with the recent episodes. They cut so many YJ moments from the novel, not even cut but shared their scenes with the other mls. Their sweet starry night of just YJ became YJ + cx, the proposal that got cut, XY introducing Jing to her mom became YJ + CX and then XL goes there too and bows to XY's parents when Jing did not even get to do it but then how can he when they took out the proposal. Even yj kiss scene became a yj+xl, if they hate the official cp so much why didnt they just change the drama cp then rather than insult yaojing's pure love like that.
Jing became some kind of background character, if they were going to make these changes and do that to him then they should just kill him off instead of treating him this way.

The pacing of this season so far has already been terrible since everything feels rushed but we all want to watch our fave so we stay but it's really such a shame that it had to go this way.

thinking back to when Jing and FL were together and seeing Jing with Lirong Chang, it makes me wonder perhaps Jing was once like them too, before what Huo put him through. I'm so happy for Jing to have such a good friend by his side too.
