Overall, I loved this episode. I'm not a huge fan of the 'pretend I forgot your birthday' plots [it's so obvious that's what this is]. I don't hate it, but I feel like there is a better way you can go about surprising someone that hurting their feelings. I feel so bad for Akk π₯ΊI honestly don't know how Aye can stand not coming clean when Akk almost starts crying. All I gotta say is Aye better have something amazing planned because he's going to have a lot of making up to do. One thing I did love though, is despite Akk still being really upset with Aye at the end of the episode, he still can't resist him. That end scene was so cute π₯° For the Teacher Sani and Wat plot, I'm kinda torn. Now that Wat has graduated high school I don't hate the idea, but at the same time it'll feel a little weird if they go a romantic route. Only because it's never felt that way between them. It started out a teacher and student bonding over something, and then obviously turned into a real friendship that was more than teacher and student. It never felt romantic, though that's not to say it couldn't become that. However even in this episode, when Mo hinted at that, Wat just looked confused and then annoyed at him. Mo obviously got to him, but even when he was imagining them in that movie while it had a romantic kind of setting they were still talking about friendship. As I said, I wouldn't hate it, but I'll honestly be surprised if they go there. I will admit though, AJ and Ploy would be super cute together. I really wish they would get a series together π₯Ίπ
I really love this series so far, but I can see the cringe next episode coming a mile away. If Eli can't even say to people they are friends, he definitely won't kiss Niks at school. It's going to be so awkward. Who knows though, maybe he'll surprise me though π€·ββοΈI also can't believe how quickly Niks got over the Project Buddy comment. In the scene he seemed really upset, but then the rest of the episode he seemed to be treating it like a joke or something to hold over Eli. He didn't really act angry or upset at all.. Also, am I the only one getting Lhong [Tharn's ex-best friend] vibes from Justin? Definitely not to Lhong's extreme, but from a similar vein.. Niks comment 'He's like that with everyone I get close to' just made Justin seem creepy to me. I get that he is inlove with Niks, but it's super messed up to keep him from getting close to people. I'd get it if it was just Eli, he has a bad reputation so even though I know Justin sees him as a rival, I could see it as him also being protective. But Niks saying everyone, just put me off Justin a little. Again, I get Justin is in love with him and is probably worried about losing their friendship if he admits his feelings, but if he doesn't have the courage to tell Niks he has to be prepared to watch him be with someone else. He can't keep everyone away until he's ready to admit his feelings, that is just not right.
I've loved this series so far, but Episode 9 was beyond stupid! Random amnesia where he ONLY forgets Kiew πfine I'll give them that... it's stupid, but I'll give them that. Why though does Bamee remember that him and his mom aren't at odds anymore, but can't remember that them and Frong resolved their issues as well? Kiew was involved in both situations so you can't say it's because he was a part of it. Plus, Bamee remembered them all going to that gym just not Kiew being with them, so it's not cause he was there. Then there is the fact that Bamee hates Kiew more now than he did when they first met! He's treating him way worse than he did from the start of the series.. I get that he hates him, for whatever his reason, but if everyone you know is saying you were really close why would you not at least try! On top of all of this, Bamee is now acting like he has feelings for Soda and Plawan, completely disregarding that Plawan is dating his brother.. It's completely out of character! Bamee really cares for Mudaeng, he wouldn't do that! None of this episode made any damn sense, it just felt like a giant waste of time! It didn't bring anything substantial to the storyline. And based on the preview it all gets wrapped up next episode anyway πIt makes it very obvious this amnesia plot was added solely to bring pointless drama so they could add more episodes. If they hadn't added in this stupid amnesia plot, they easily could've ended this series in 10 episodes.
Iβm actually worried that s1 will end with a cliffhanger and they will do a s2. Idk, nobody has talked about…
I'd be ok with a S2, but only if they confessed and got together at the end of S1. Like, all these extra plot points they've added could be resolved in a S2, but I swear to all that is holy if they do a stupid cliffhanger with no confession I'm 100% not watching S2.
8 Episodes into a 10 episode show and this is giving very much bromance... I don't think I've even seen signs…
There were a few small moments in episodes 7&8 that, at least to me, definitely made it seem like Nan has feels for Phu. Especially the bonus scene at the end in episode 8 where he almost confessed.
This series is draining my sanity at this point π This is the slowest slowburn in the history of slowburns! I definitely prefer a little build up to a confession, I dont want it to happen right off the bat, but this series only has 10 episodes! Every episode feels the same with little to no real development in their relationship.. Seriously, how long are they going to drag this out?? I swear it feels like they are going hold the confession until the end of the damn series. And now they are adding in more drama when there is only 2 episodes left.. seriously π The main reason why it's so frustrating is because these 2 have gone through so much already. I really wanted to get at least one whole episode of them just being happy together, but it looks like we won't get that. We're gonna be lucky to get even 20 minutes.. The one very small upside to Episodes 7&8 is at least Nan is finally realizing, or at least showing signs of, his feelings for Phu. They were small moments in both episodes, but at least its something. I also think he has to know now that Phu has feelings for him. Nan's eyes said so much during their talk during Phu's birthday dinner. Lets pray for all our sanity that they finally confess next episode πππ
I ended up really disliking this series and only got through the last episodes by upping the speed to 1.25! Even then I ended up skipping most of the last episode.. It really sucks because I was excited for this series. It had so much potential and started out well, but died fast. The series felt all over the place with no real plot. Which if it was done well, it would've been a good slice of life series, but it ended up mostly feeling super random. The two main leads had zero chemistry and it made the series worse. Their romantic moments were kinda cute, but fell flat most of the time because the chemistry wasnt there. And their intimate moments felt extremely awkward. The only reason I even kept watching was for Kana and Pao, but they never went anywhere. They showed in little moments that they clearly had feelings for each other, then had that one night together. After that they had like 2 or 3 scenes together in the last 5 episodes with nothing every being talked about or established ? I'm so disappointed because those two actors had great chemistry and I feel like it was wasted. I really wish those two could get their own series together, as long as it wasn't written by whoever wrote this, because I feel like they'd do well together.
Everyone should form their own opinion, but personally I definitely would not recommend this series.
This series was beyond amazing, if I could rate more than 10 stars I would! This is honestly now my #1 Korean series, bl or otherwise! It was such a beautiful story and the actors who played the main characters had such amazing chemistry! The writers and directors of this series did such a fantastic job! I will definitely have to keep an eye out for more works from them! I enjoyed the ride, but I'm so sad its over π I'm still holding out hope for a Season 2 π€ I can easily see how they could continue this series, so I can't help but dream. If we don't get a S2, I hope Ji Sub and Jun Taek work in another series together because they were amazing together! I still can't believe this is Jun Taek's first role!
I've been wondering why I haven't dropped this as well lol I think for me part of it is I keep hoping we'll get more of Pao and Kana, but they're giving us crumbs π«
If girl is reason of their conflict watch me dropping this series . I don't like such lame excuse of ruining such…
I haven't started it yet for this very reason. I'm trying to wait and see from people's comments if thats the main cause before I start it. It looked really interesting and I want to support Perth because I really love him, but I can't stand that trope π
Highly reccomend you go watch the official pilot if you havent yet! I'm so beyond excited for this series!! The series looks like it is going to be emotional, but so amazing. I'm already hooked on the story and this was just the pilot! I love that this pilot gave me enough of the story to grab my attention, but still left me with so many questions that need answers! I'm now dying for this series to start airing! I'm super happy MaxNat are finally getting the lead roles they deserve and they look like they've done a phenomenal job! I swear it's should be a crime that MaxNat havent gotten a lead in a series till now, this pilot alone shows that they've always been more than capable to lead a series! Ive never seen Gun in anything before, but he did amazing as well! Him and Nat have such great chemistry! All the emotions and relationships shown in this pilot were done so well and everything felt so natural and real. I'm so proud of everyone involved in this project! Sorry, I'll stop gushing about this now π Super excited though, can't wait for the release!
I don't really get all the negative reactions to the first episode.. To me personally, I really liked it and I'm super excited for the next episode. His coworkers drove me insane though. I wanted to slap them π‘
I completely agree, I have always hated love triangles to be honest and this series is no exception.. Personally,…
Yeah I got that feeling too and I also agree that a love triangle was not needed. They could just as easily have had Erng feel like she's losing Mew to Fahsai without it being romance based. It just feels like a weird/bad writing choice to bring her back after so long and then throw her into a love triangle. Especially since her last memories were her as a kid. Though she is clearly intelligent, most likely because of whatever the alien did, I feel like she is still mostly that little kid inside her head. Look at her phrasing in this episode when talking about what happened.. She said 'I discovered my body had matured to adulthood.' I honestly didnt think about that till just now when I was writing this to you.. Makes me rethink my previous comment lol Despite the fact that I could see them putting Mew with either one I honestly dont feel like Mew and Erng have romantic chemistry. All their moments together have felt more like two platonic friends who missed and care for each other, not friends who like each other romantically. I definitely feel like Fahsai and Mew have more romantic chemistry. I still really like this series, I just feel like it could've been better if the love triangle was left out.
i hope this love triangle is done well, this show is already a little rough around the edges and the whole love…
I completely agree, I have always hated love triangles to be honest and this series is no exception.. Personally, I could see Mew with either one, I just thinks its going to be kind of stupid to have Erng come back after all this time just to have them not get together and her leave again.. I don't know if thats what will happen, but it seems that way right now. Yes I love those two so much, definitely the best part of the series π
One thing I did love though, is despite Akk still being really upset with Aye at the end of the episode, he still can't resist him. That end scene was so cute π₯°
