I wanted to watch this from a legitimate source, but the English subs are so terrible.. Does anyone know if there are better fan subs? So far all the sites I have looked on it's the same bad subtitles...

Yeah that part really confused me.. In the opening he couldn't even get up the courage to talk to Fuse, a person they heavily hinted that he really liked. Yet now he is super flirtatious and bold towards Fuse and has slept around alot.. It just feels like a huge disconnect with how he acted in the beginning..

Yeah I ended up buying the dvd off ebay cause the only place I find it was Dailymotion but the quality was bad and it was missing an episode. I loved the movie and I saw people on youtube saying this is better so I'm sure I'll love it.
I really liked the story and the actors did a great job, but there were a couple things I didn't really like. First off, I dont like how they told Ritsu's story. Yes, we find out he did love Masumi, but then why did he cheat? I guess he likes not being limited to sex with just one person and its why he doesn't date. I get that. Then why did he tell Madoka he cheated, but when Masumi was upset about it he acted like he had no basis for being upset. He told Madoka he was in a relationship for a half a year yet told Masumi they were just friends with benefits and didn't show any remorse for what he did. He didn't even seem phased to not be able to be with Masumi anymore. It could be later in life that he realize how he truly felt, but they don't show that, they just have him tell Madoka he loved him. It just made me feel a disconnect between what happened in the past and Ritsu's talk with Madoka about it. Regardless of whether he realized his feelings during or after what happened between them, I just feel like the writers didn't do a good job of showing Ritsu's love for Masumi. They should've gone less into just Ritsu's past, and more into his and Masumi's history but through Ritsu's eyes. Or they should have at least shown one scene in the flashback of him remembering his time with Masumi and regretting letting him slip away. Him just telling Madoka that he loved Masumi doesn't have the same impact for me that a scene of him remembering their time together would have. I also wasn't a huge fan of the ending.. It seemed pretty obvious to me that the meteor does get prevented because Yuma is a miracle boy and I've seen people say that in the manga it does end happy. Its not like I hate the open ending, its better than a sad one for me, I just kind of would have liked to at least see the happiness on their faces when they realize they do get a future together. Despite the couple things I didn't like I would definitely rewatch. It's not high on my rewatch list, but I would rewatch it.
Has anyone read the manga? Part of me is curious about it and I was debating on reading it, especially if Ritsu's feelings and memories of the past is told better in the manga.
I loved this episode and am loving the series so far! I feel so bad for Uea though, he has such terrible luck attracting the worst people! I really hope Krit is just a creepy dude who aggressively goes after someone he likes and isnt another person who is going to try and sexually assault Uea when he gets turned down. Like I'm preparing myself for that happening, but I'm praying it doesn't. Especially since I know we haven't seen the last of Uea's crazy ex... With the crazy ex and his terrible family, Uea doesnt need another person giving him more trauma. Also, I swear to lord can Mongkol be fired already!! He is barely in it yet every time he is on screen he gets on my nerves! I need it to come to light already about how damn lazy he is and how he pushes all the work onto Jade and Uea!
I'm so glad I decided to watch this despite the spoiler comments saying he disappeared in the end. The actors did a phenomenal job and it is such a beautiful story even with the bittersweet ending. I love that Cen finally got to be reborn, but it was so sad that it happened right after Naina just got him back 🥺 I also think its beautiful how Naina cherishes their time together and holds the memory of Cen in his heart. I like to imagine them meeting and falling in love all over again in their next life.
I would love to see these two in another project together! They did an amazing job and have great chemisty.
I really like the series so far, though I haven't watched episode 3 yet, but I'm kinda confused why they linked those two short films as prequels to this series. I know its the same actors, characters, and plot, but everything else seems different. All the back story before Nan and Phu meet again seems to be completely different than what it showed in the short films. In the short films it shows that Phu was going to confess, got those flowers for Nan, but then thinks Nan got together with Gi Gi and thats why he left. So far in the series, now Nan has a colleague named Gi Gi with no reference to uni yet and neither her or Phu seemed to recognize each other. And its shown they got drunk on graduation and Phu kissed Nan, kinda implying something happened and thats why he left. In Nan's short film it shows him spend all those years going to Melbourne to look for Phu and also he sent that really painful breakdown video as his last message to Phu, which I'm so sad they changed. It's not to say this won't come up later, but since Phu staying in Melbourne was brought up in episode 2 it's kinda a weird choice to not bring it up then if that still happened. Especially since this is their first time talking about what happened and Nan is still really hurt by it. Nan also doesn't have the pocket watch anymore yet they made it so important to him in the short film. They even link them in the first episode and say "Please check out the Phupha and Nanfa short films to understand and experience the feeling of the Phupha and Nanfah characters. Why did the Phupha disappear? And what happened to the Nanfah Throughout the period that PhuPha disappeared for ten years until two of them met again in The Promise series ( the promise and not forgotten )." All this implies it's a direct continuation of the short films yet everything that happens in them is completely different... Don't get me wrong, I love both the short films and the series currently! It just had me really confused when I started the series because to me it felt more like a remake of the short films with added story than a continuation.
