🤣 Same! Even back when I watched Pentagon mvs , I would always see WXY especially at certain angles. He looks slightly less like him when bare faced tho

Me too! He was so good

His breakout role was probably Wu Xin from Blood of Youth, he got a lot of attention from that role and that performance was what made me a fan. He actually shaved his head for that character and he did a great job. Someone said he's like a Shakespearean actor of idol dramaland and I never thought of it that way but it's actually kinda true😂

😂 I'm so undecided b/c I'm afraid if I read the novel first it might make me like the drama less than I would've if I hadn't read it yet but if half the drama doesn't follow the novel then you're right, it would just depend on what drama experience I want🤔. Tysm for the insight, I have a much better understanding on how to choose now!

I would've never thought to read along with the drama, that's a great idea tysm! I might mix them all up in my head tho😂

Do you know what Love in the Shell is about? I only knew about it from yt clips and had no idea HMH and Esther were co-starring in something

I don't think people forget minors get casted but b/c they get casted it kinda gets normalized so people think it's ok. Brad kissing 11 yo is easier to accept as problematic b/c the issue was visibly obvious to the audience. Ethical issues are pervasive in the industry, globally not just in USA, which is why there are so many examples. The issue wasn't the cast/crew themselves as people rather the ethical issue lies in the casting of a minor opposite an adult actor.

I agree people shouldn't prematurely make assumptions about the drama. The casting choice is actually a valid ethical issue though, regardless of what ends up airing. It's understandable why the focus was on what the audience would see however, the issue is complex and involves multiple factors in addition to the visible drama scenes. Thankfully it was tastefully done and at least there wasn't any kissing

Ohh, thank you!

Great point, Tysm! I'm gonna wait n read it after the drama then darnit

Thank you!

I'm debating if I should read it too! I kinda wanna read it now🤔

Ugh, I just saw some clips and now I'm so excited to see it but have to wait forever and a day😩 For those that have read the novel, do you recommend reading it? If so, should I read it before or after watching the drama?

Omg you're so right!😂 I was trying to remember who he reminded me of

I've wanted to see the 2 leads act together ever since Rise of Ning. I'm going to wait til it finishes before I start but waiting for episodes to air is like watching grass grow😩
