Ok I really liked the first episode! We got a good look into all the characters and they are just absolutely hilarious. I do admit I have a bit of bias towards comedy but we haven't gotten a sitcom kbl and its doing well so far! I'm a bit disappointed with the episode air time but I'm still gonna enjoy watching this
Have you guys seen the episode or it’s clips??? The colour saturation literally looks like it’s been slapped…
Yeah I honestly don't understand the editing choice there, it just makes everything seem quite dull. Considering that there were a lot of scenes filmed in the nature, I would've expected maybe a saturation increase to bring out the green but not this
This, it probably had everything to do with the outdated, contested plotline, the aparently racist scenes, sloppy…
This director was the same person who directed futs which had a really racist scene in ep 4. The characters dressed up as Sikh with a turban as a joke and mocked religious hand gestures. Apparently there's a scene in ep 1 of clw which had colorism and cultural appropriation. Following the director's previous works, it's honestly not a surprise.
I think they still might upload it after some weeks like with Never Too Late, but it's still such a stupid move…
I think that's the point- they want to unfortunately capitalize on the popularity of well known bl pairings so that it guarantees chances of people paying to watch. They did this with the 2gether movie as well. Such scummy and low tactics for such a dominating figure in the thai entertainment industry to play, honestly not surprised.
The director blocked someone who was giving their honest feedback on the trailer- how the sound was bad in some…
This director is truly the worst. He repeated the exact same mistake in ep 1 apparently there is colorism and cultural appropriation. He really does not deserve to direct any more shows.
Yep guys its confirmed that this won't air on any other platform except for the thai disney+ hostar. Mix tweeted it out but then deleted it I'm assuming because gmmtv told him to take it down for exposing their cheap asses for being bought over by the streaming service. I'm extremely disappointed with how gmmtv handled this. We got no sort of clarification that it was only going to air until the teaser poster released (which wasn't even clear enough because a lot of people were holding out their hopes until the airing date) and even now they refuse to say anything, shutting down what Mix tweeted. I just hope that this doesn't happen for other gmmtv series
Yeah guys I'm pretty sure that it won't be airing on youtube and only disney+ for now. I'm so dissapointed gmmtv literally treated the intl fans like trash.
Literally this show manages to subvert every single toxic trope usually placed in BLs to add 'drama'. Annoying ass clingy girlfriend to one of the mls? Nope just a sweet girl who is able to give up Fah because she never even liked him in the first place. Characters keeping their thoughts hidden and ignoring each other if something is wrong? Nope just HEALTHY and thoughtful communication. Goddamn cheating? (yes I can't actually either believe that this is actually a trope just put in bls) Nope the Vee and Dome story is handled absolutely fantastically. This is truly one of the only shows where I can understand each character's motivations and reasoning for what they do.
The music is fucking fantastic it just hits so right- from this suspenseful upbeat tone to this soft and mellow noise playing its imbedded so well. The filming and editing are done amazingly as well.
I am supporting it in the Viki app, and I don't care that the budget is low - but I do care that the writing is…
Even though I agree that the airtime definitely makes an impact on the scriptwriting, there have been many exceptions to this. I mean take To my star, while I have several problems with its core story it had around the same airtime and still managed to provide a beautiful and fresh lovestory. Even a majority of STRONGBERRY bls which are only 15 minute episodes managed to do better than this.
It didn’t help that each episode was less than 10 minutes long… Korean BLs really need to get more mainstream……
Actually, a lot of the KBL's airing after this show have a longer 20 minutes air time per episode (First love again, Oh Boarding house, Semantic Error, CBAW) I'm glad the airtimes are finally changing
I would've liked this so much more if they stuck to the plot they set up at the beginning and that alone. It would've…
that's literally what i thought the series would be about, I thought that min hyun would actually be a tsundere or someone who does not open his heart easily but the vampire would be trying to win him over just to get his blood but in the process falls in love with him. It would be super cliche and predictable but its not necessarily bad thing if it's done right.
Ok so a solid first episode, I definitely think the production and editing is done really well. New is doing a great job so far but I still feel like his delivery lacks in a few areas. But I have a question, why is Kuea so hung up on getting Hia lian to love him? I thought that it was established through the funny sequences that he didn't really like him and just put up a front. I thought that the only reason he was with him was because the marriage was legally binding which it wasn't even so now I'm just confused. And Hia Lian just straight up giving up his love life to marry Kuea just because some random ass granpa told him too? Kinda dumb it would've made more sense if he wanted to keep the marriage for monetary values since he is so business driven. Idk I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens
