How anyone views the show is their own perspective if they liked / didn't like it.

Take this site and other reviews as a broader sampling on any given show. No show is perfect and the fact people make comments and engage about a show, displays at some level it made a connection which as a director / actor is all you can hope for.

Lets stop the negative reactions when a show doesn't get the review you like. If its a 10 for you - its a 10. If someone views it differently thats their opinion.

I think they kept Han around too long, he was more of an annoyance than villian and frankly dragged things down with his petty attempts to take WR down, make her his. When she took his palace should've been the end of him. Then the focus for the last big villian would be the Emperor's mother, CP. How it was never revealed his junk is damaged was a plot hole.

For all we know those final scenes were likely the start of Season 2 LOL

I somewhat see your point but Jundai's temperment and how she treated people were more why LZ did not like her. While WR does her own scheming, its mostly done to right an injustice or protect the realm / her clan & people.

At their core, WR & LZ both see themselves as protectors.

Oh I get it and with any TV series you suspend reality to some degree, exsp. Historical / time period ones.

That is not what happened, the Brother prince was scheming the whole time, likely with Emperess D to steal crown, so they elimanted him in a fake accident and were making the move to meet with realm kings to align power but WR was protector of Realm and knew her brother has an offpsring, which if a son would be the rightful heir.

So the ending is WR squashing that power grab, at least stall it. If there is a Season 2, this is likely the bulk of the story

I mean how could they look so identical when they did not share a Mother or Father, at most family they shared DNA which may carry over some appearence aspects, but not identical. It would've made much more sense if Lady Li had twins and she gave them to family in secret from Emperor (clearly they favored having sons).

Well assume they did have a nice 3 years together, though we did not see any of it.

I think before Ep10 you'll know, it happens fairly soon and is the first story arc

Well they should've showed a montage of all that to flesh out the court drama / battle aspect. There should've been more scenes like the swing or the sword practice at the end.

I guess it kinda stayed in the middle, not too much romance and offered drama, action for a larger audience pull.

Either they had amazing birth control or they were too busy defending the realm LOL

But that is more on the actors and a mutual attraction thing. There was really not much ROMANCE between them. It was almost platonic respect for each other. I mean 3 years later and no children???

Nothing wrong having two beautiful woman. I mean most Emperors had many as a means to create line of Hiers.

If you look you can tell many of those other rulers are not friendly, thus Season 2 could be the battle for control of the realm, along with the internal court drama of WR brother / Emperor 'accident'.

I think expanding some romance around would be nice as well, a woman for Qi, the maids. I felt the romance outside of a few scenes was very lacking and its ok, the core story here was survival and justice.
