I wonder what will happen to Xie Hua lou for Hong Xian to become Empress? As Wei Rao jus st said, she is about…
I am assuming she will be key voice against the horrible things CP has done, she will find her voice at a pivotal moment. They have been showing her trying to speak and she is being treated. Amazing she learned sign language in like a week LOL

it is a wishful thinking, but I want to think that her brother will let her half sister leave the palace when…
Possible as he stepped up to save her being taken by CP. Do cocubines have the option of divorce? Almost feels like they are property

But surely the palace doctors would talk and leak to the Emperor of the situation. Its not like he cut his finger.

If I were Crown Prince Duan I would also make sure to keep it secret, his disability would automatically disqualify…
True. I guess I'm like no way this stays hidden, I would assume the palace doctors all work for the Emperor so he will be double mad it was covered up and something so important to the role / kingdom was kept from him.

Call the ambulance What happened to this comment section?????
I just skip the arguing over which (fictional) character deserves to suffer or not and then grade their level of suffering.

Lets just say they did not have a good life and are now fighting to have a better life. I think the larger message is people should be able to choose their life path, family & position should not allow some to prosper and others to live a horrible life.

Honestly at this point i am impressed by Han Liao,he has never given up being a villain even after loosing land,…
Thinking Han at the end would rather had had his foot cut off or whatever the punishment was. Why do the villian schemes seem so basic and are really not a plan. Its just emotional reactions they throw at the wall.

Title Where the Mask Ends Spoiler
I really don't understand how the CP injury is still being kept from clearly everyone around him. If he truely is unable to father a Heir his Mother would not be so arrogant and think she will be Empress. Its been at least a week or two since the raid and rescue of WR sister & other girls.

Felt bad for the Guard, he clearly had feelings and watched her leave to be a cocubine.

in which Episode does he know that she is someone different? I saw somewhere that he knew by touching at her hand.
I mean the temperment is totally different, not to mention other little things you would notice. Even if they were identical twins (which they were not, just looked similar). I think the actress playing both roles throws things off some

What does the face reader mean at the end of episode 25 that weirao won't lwave past her 20s ???Do they want to…
Keep in mind CP wife / her cousin arranged it so likely more to keep WR on edge and throw her off.

Nahhhh he’s too old!!!
I would say the guard is 30s, maybe like 35-36yr Old and WR younger sister should be 15-16yr old if WR is around 18yr old

I hate to say this but I felt a bit let down this episode. I wanted more time on the wedding, I was curious how…
IMO maybe because it was their 2nd wedding and the 1st wedding was at most a year ago? Eitherway I think at least a family reception would have been nice to touch on for 10 mins. Maybe its budget, wardrobe related?

Until chapter 9 it was perfect. I was loving it, but then something about the editing and directing became weird.…
I think it moves at a very hyper pace, so everything goes by in a blink. One episode is like 5 of other dramas. We had the one core storyline and then BAM its like 10 different things going on all at once, new people, plots, deaths etc.

Not complaining but I wonder if a slower pace would have felt different

I am not sure but apparently the snow kiss was cut short because of censorship because it was very steamy as well…
I assume censored would block anthing showing open mouth, lips, tongue? The 'Kiss' seems more of a mush LOL

They really robbed us out on the wedding. It made sense the first time, but it should've been a grand celebration…
Question for those not from China / live there.

Do many of those rituals still get followed around engagement / wedding?

In US many of our traditions have slowly been dropped, omitted.

Yeah netflix does not translate the songs, I assume those are the lyrics on the right side when its being sung

Question for those that know more of the source. Is this a widely know book in China?

or is the veiwership driven more by the actors?
