There's a lot of corruption sadly and capital backing in c-ent. Those without connections will be stepped on and oftentimes justice will never be served. It's sad but I do hope we can see changes or else Cheng Yi's upcoming works, be it high quality or less high quality dramas, those works won't get scores above 7 anymore if Douban continues to manipulate user data like this.

Yup, this was planned beforehand. They knew they'd get called out because VOA has good reputation and received enormous amount of great feedback so they played it safe and wanted things to cool down for the weekend so that people might forget to report them lol Viewers have had enough of the unfair competition and Douban's manipulation, I don't think they will let things slide this time.

They need to gather evidence and file a complaint to the Cyberspace Administration of China and other departments. Douban has been summoned for talks and fined before, their scoring system has also been proven to be faulty (filled with fan wars etc.). We shall wait and see but this time the manipulation was caught red handed with video and screenshot proof so the Chinese viewers do have evidence unlike during during fsh and SAB times. Douban wasn't this blatant before but this time it was obvious because VOA is well received both domestically and internationally.

When people were inspecting the scores, there were mainly 4-5 stars + 1 star by haters but there weren't many actual 3 stars. The manipulation happened backend because 2.5 stars cannot be given by normal scorers. I can't believe Douban went this far just to manipulate the ratings. They literally violated user data rights, it's an unauthorized alteration of user data which is illegal there.

Douban is silencing drama fans now too. Posts in VOA drama-related groups on Douban are restricted after the scores were out and comments were deleted almost instantly.

I already saw many post the evidences back a few days ago so I was already suspecting that Douban won't be fair this time either and I was right. The fact that they sneakily changed people's scores without letting them know is SUS

A few days ago many people already discovered that Douban had secretly changed their 5 star scores to 2.5 stars and some even had their scores set to zero. It was already sus a few days ago but now that they've released the score it all makes sense

I have to say that the ones bribing these insiders sure have a lot of money and are doing their best to sabotage these dramas from gaining more viewers during their broadcast period.

Yup, and apparently another Youku drama "In the Name of Justice" also suffered the same fate but they caught the culprit after the case was filed to police and this person received a 3-year sentence. I do hope VOA team will also file a police report so that they can catch the culprit and make them pay. But Youku sure has a lot of moles and this keeps happening to 2025 Youku dramas that have gained positive word of mouth from Chinese viewers.

It was leaked by an insider either from the platform or someone from the production team who got bribed. They're currently investigating and gathering evidence across all platforms. The leaked unaired episodes were in very high definition and lots of the audience have gone to these pirated sites to watch VOA so we're losing viewers these past few days. The first leak happened when we were almost hitting 10k on Youku so the timing was quite sus. I seriously want Huai An to be happy and live well after all that he's been through but since this is an original script so no one knows how the ending will turn out. Although given Cheng Yi's track record everyone is already prepared for the worst but hopefully they'll give us a surprise.

Li Chen Zhou was one of important characters in the novel and many liked him. He's not evil to the core that makes viewers hate him. He and Xiao Qui Shui have different views but I wouldn't call him extremely evil

He's a villain but the type of villain that you'll feel sorry for so we're definitely going to cry if something bad happens

I think it will be bromance between Xiao Qui Shui + Li Chen Zhou and maybe we also have Li Chen Zhou/Xiao Qui Shui's friendship with his loyal subordinate as well?

I'm an international fan and she's totally fine in my books. Actually I'm even looking forward to seeing her villain role in FSMM because her character there is interesting.

The teaser trailer was awesome!!! Both Cheng Yi and Li Yi Tong look so gorgeous ❤️❤️ I love director Du Lin's camera work and editing as well. Hope he keeps it up with the actual drama. I look forward to this and Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love in Pavilion the most as these two stories were my favorites in the donghua.

I agree that this might be her prettiest look even though I always find her pretty in her other dramas as well but in this drama I'm always awed at how gorgeous she looks. Whenever I see the new reuters, it makes me want this drama to just drop immediately... but we need to wait until 2025 or early 2026 at least.

Li Yi Tong is so pretty in her costumes. Love the "spider web" details they included in her costumes ( she had the similar thing in the donghua). All the reuters make me even more excited for this drama. I loved both their characters in the donghua. Qing Tong is so sweet and supportive while Fugui is cold, mature yet very kind-hearted. They both loved each other so much and were always willing to protect each other equally. Hope the drama script will keep it like that and not include unnecessary misunderstandings which the donghua did not have.
