OMG THIS EPISODE HAS GOT ME SCREAMING!!!!!! I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time.
I have a few questions though:
Who do you guys think is behind the shooting at the warehouse ?
Why do you guys think Black decided to beat Sean up like that ?
Black really didn’t have to do Sean like that. Left his face all battered and bruised. Black has so much anger brewing inside of him and I can’t wait to see more from his character as the episodes go on. That being said though… if I see Black it’s on sight for how he hurt my baby Sean lmao
I’m so glad Namo stood her ground. She knew not to fall into Sean’s emotional trap when he went to her knowing full well her feelings for him after his fight with Black.
I thought for sure that Sean knew it wasn’t Black. I want to see how everything unfolds when it comes to that.
I guess this episode confirms that Gram likes Eugene. I really thought the Gram/Black ship was going to sail lmao
Dan and White BEST BOYS!!! It was nice seeing them protect their lovers. Dan told Yok to go ahead as he got shot and White came to save the day. Love them!!!
Okay but can we talk about Yok biting Dan’s lip while they were kissing like that 😭— on another note, I really love Yok’s character. He’s definitely one of my top fave characters from this series. He’s fiery and bold and he seems to have a strong sense of self and he knows what he wants. I like it Picasso lmao
Y’all, I think my heart stopped a few times within this episode 😭— it was a lot going on and I absolutely loved it. This series keeps getting better and better.
I love that the Sean/White and Dan/Yok ships are sailing but I’m worried for what’s to come. I want to know how everything is going to go with Black and the rest of the gang finding out about Sean and White being together (or maybe Black already knows because I’m assuming he was the one who was hiding and saw them kissing). And I’m curious to see how everything turns out when Dan comes to the compound. I'm glad they revealed Dan's backstory related to Sean's dad and his guilt that he felt which he mentioned last episode about doing something wrong and not being able to fix it.
The only thing I am a little bit confused about is the Black/Eugene/Gram triangle if that’s what you want to call it. Does Gram like Black or does he like Eugene ? lmao
Gun is doing such a great playing Black and White. He’s got the nuisances of both characters down to where you can just tell the difference between the personality’s well. I am excited to see more of Black’s character in the next episodes.
Of course it had to be Todd who hurt Black. All signs were pointing to him. I thought they were going to throw a curveball and reveal someone not as obvious but it makes total sense that it’s Todd.
Last thing I wanted to add was I was eating my food when the episode started and when Sean starting nibbling on White’s ear…I spit out my food 😅 I was not expecting that at all lmao. I was laughing and smiling and giddy. I didn’t know how to act lmao😂
I really loved that episode 8 touched on the prejudice, ignorance, and even homophobia that couples who are apart of the lgbtq+ community have to face. I feel like it would be kind of unrealistic if it was all rainbows and sunshine. Progress is being made slowly but surely in places like Japan where Aoki and Ida’s relationship is set but there is still a long way to go imo. They dealt with the topic nicely for the time allotted and I think this might be in my top favorite episodes of the series so far.
Also, it was nice to see Shirasu Jin (the trainee teacher) in a cameo here. Albeit, I didn’t really enjoy his character that much. He hurt Aoki like that and I wanted to jump through the screen at him lmao. But, despite his blatant ignorance and homophobia, I liked how by the end he made an effort to understand Aoki and Ida’s relationship and understand that people should have the freedom to choose whom they love. If you haven’t already, check out Shirasu Jin in another BL show called Life: Love On The Line where he plays one of the leads. I loved that show as well!!!
I just wanted to end this by saying that Aoki and Ida’s relationship is really beautiful to me. I love how understated it is but the feelings that they have for each other are palpable. I love how protective Ida was of Aoki in this episode too. He wasn’t going to let anyone treat his man any type of way and I loved to see it. Aoki and Ida award for the softest and most precious couple!!!
Acting is on point!!! Story is on point!!! Chemistry is on point!!! The beautiful kiss on episode 5 made me all giddy!!! It’s such a joy watching this show every week. We have 7 more episodes left and I can’t wait to see where the show goes from here… but I have to say now that this is definitely one of my favorite BL shows I have seen!!!
Detective Akkun figuring out what was going on and wearing that hat was so funny to me!!! The over-dramatization of it all!!! I love it!!! lmao— this show is such a delightful treat to watch :)
OMG I AM SCREAMING WITH JOY AT THE ENDING!!! WE GOT NOT ONE BUT TWO KISSES!!! That was such a precious scene!!! I am really glad to see Shin Woo and Tae Kyung be end game!!! It makes my heart so happy. I loved there interactions in the park and all of the hand holding and the teasing back and forth throughout the episode and the arm grasping and just EVERYTHING!!! Seeing them two together makes my heart SO happy!!!
I also loved Da On’s acknowledgment that he doesn’t know himself but he’s going to work on getting to know himself. I love that he started to set up boundaries and has reformed his people pleasing ways. I actually love that for him. He’s on a path of self-discovery and even more self-love and I think that was the perfect ending for his character.
I also loved the friendship between So Hee and Nam Goong as well. They are really such a dynamic duo. As much as I didn’t care for So Hee’s character at all, I very much appreciated her and Nam Goong standing up for Shin Woo and Tae Kyung in this episode. They are the perfect dynamic duo and it’s nice to see So Hee come to realization and start changing her ways too. Also, I loved that they didn’t turn Soo Hee and Nam Goong’s relationship into a romantic one. I thought that was the route they were going for but I’m very glad that they didn’t in the end. Friends is where it’s at!!!
Also, could that scene with the teacher saying Lee Tae-Sung ? be a hint towards a second season or something ? It made me think of how Lee Ki Hyun (the teacher) just starred in a music video alongside Lee Se Jin from Mr. Heart that just came out a few days ago. It features a beautiful BL/ LGBTQ+ relationship between the two. I wonder if releasing that music video was suppose to be a hint or something as well. You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/o-ML207l_Rg
I am so sad that this show is ending :( It really has been such a wonderful journey reading everyone’s theories and comments. I will never forget this watching experience. Love to you all!!!
An interaction I can’t quite get over was from Episode 2 between Tae Kyung and Da On. It went like this:
Da On- Am I nice ? Tae Kyung- Yes. Based on what I’ve seen so far. Da On- Gosh, I’m so touched. But, Shin Woo is nicer than me. Tae Kyung- I’m not sure about that.
I don’t know why but that dialogue has stuck with me because I found it to be weird timing that Da On would even admit that Shin Woo was nicer than him. I’m wondering if it was to foreshadow the future actions of Da On’s character ? With Da On I have always felt like there was something more beneath the surface that we weren’t seeing from his character but I’m not sure. That dialogue makes me view things in a different light as well. I hope this post makes sense. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. Let me know what you guys think.
The finale can’t come quick enough tbh!!! I’m over here playing out different theories and scenarios in my head lmao. All I really hope for is that there are no loose ends left unanswered and that all of the characters get a happy ending hopefully *fingers crossed*
For anyone interested, there is a music video that just came out yesterday by Park Won called Fuxxxxx Crazy and it features Lee Ki Hyun (the teacher from Light On Me). The premise of the music video is showing a beautiful bl/lgbt relationship and it’s SO precious you guys and it’s shot so well. Go check it out… https://youtu.be/o-ML207l_Rg. Now, all I can think is that they should cast him as the lead in a BL series!!!
