Great review. This drama has already snuck into my top 5 favorite KDramas, so I will have to write a review myself when I get some time to sit down and do it - especially because the "mental health" aspect of this drama is so personal to me.
Same writer / director team as Padam Padam and That Winter, The Wind Blows and they somehow outdid themselves. I had high hopes when I saw the writer and director and it ended up exceeding my expectations. Don't walk - run to your TV / computer / tablet / phone / whatever and start this drama if you haven't. You can send me a thank you note later.
I personally believe this drama will have a sad ending and that Jae Yeol will die. I just get the feeling based…
You might be right, but a traditional sad ending would completely ruin this show. It's bad writing. From the very beginning the show has been about finding a way to live with and conquer mental illness, not succumb to it. How would it make any sense if the writer killed him off at the end? It's leaving the audience with the wrong message. "Oh yeah, lol, love doesn't conquer anything and you lose even if you try really hard." I know it's just my opinion, but I strongly do not believe a tragic ending like that would do anything but hinder the message of this drama. I think an "open" ending is the most likely (still not what I want.)
I really want to watch this because of Lee Dong Wook's and Lee Da Hae's reunion on tv but i really don't like…
If you don't like melodrama, it probably isn't for you. It's really heavy on the melo - that said, it is definitely worth giving it a shot. LDW and LDH are both fantastic in this drama, so you might enjoy it based on the performances alone. Wonderful performances by the actors in this drama (not just wookie or Lee Da Hae, but the extended cast as well.)
Me: "I respect your opinion, but you're wrong and I hate you."
