me too !! I keep on coming to it and bingeing the whole episodes in just one day. dunno how many times I've watched…
I agree. I actually didn't watch any in for 2-3 weeks and I doubted there was anything I was going to like. Then I watched The Last Empress and then Fated to Love You. I'm happy again !
You missed out big time. I'd love to know exactly what was toxic about this OTP.
wow you must have had a terribly difficult life so far. Or you are young and haven't experienced real love or real life yet. There is such a thing as character development, which Gun definitely experienced. Maybe watch it again in 2-3 years and you'll get a different perspective of the show. I personally loved it.
its all cute and fun.. but how fast the ML moved on from her long term gf is mind bogglingðŸ˜..
I think the fact that Se Ra turned right back around at the airport and flew back to NY when she knew he was proposing, flipped a switch for him. He waited 6 years for her, and maybe that was enough. It would be hard to not fall for Mi-Young.
Great leads, great - albeit underused - supporting characters, decent second female lead, but one of the most…
Agree to disagree? She needed a friend (a priest). He fell for her over time. He didn't "go after..." I thought he was a stand-up guy who never pressured her. He believed in her value from the beginning. Anyway I actually watched this drama because I had just finished The Last Empress, and he (Choi Jin-hyuk) played the 2nd ML in this as well. I've now got all of his dramas on my to-watch list Also struck gold because now I've also discovered Jang Hyun, another handsome, great actor! Maybe now I've gotten out of my K-drama slump.
I just finished this, and yes I was in a K-Drama Rut as you said. I am sad that Wang Shik didn't live though, until the end I was convinced he was going to just show up. Now the bomb incident makes sense. He held it to save the Empress and others. He was truly the best guy. I'm glad the Emperor had his redemption and that he was able to tell Sunny his true feelings. Thank you for your review.
I really struggled to get through this. Melodramas aren't my favorite but the actors drew me in. Watching it on Disney with commercials was probably some of the problem. I agree with 8 episodes. I might try re-watching when I can watch 3 or 4 episodes at a time, as I did have a lot of distractions. I rated it an 8.
This is a good review! i also really enjoyed it. I thought Lee Jun Ho's acting was so much better in Red Sleeve compared to King of the Land (I thought the story line was just OK). Did you see Empress Ki, and if you did, what were your thoughts of it? To me, Empress Ki was the best historical drama I've seen so far.
Not at all. I'm sorry my review is open to wrong interpretation: my fault. It was meant more for those who had…
Why is it ridiculous that she'd care for the Emperor? He loved her, forgave her, and gave her everything, including a son. I know he killed the king, however, he did that to protect her in the long run. He paid for his wrongdoings by losing his life and all that he loved . Yang was just as driven as he was in her own way wanting power, etc. I think Palace life did that.
I have forgotten so many of the details of My Mister, I think I'm going to have to re-watch it. It is one of the best I have seen, that is for sure. The director, Kim Won Seok, also directed When Life Gives you Tangerines.
Do you have any recommendations for kdramas like this one?
A favorite of mine from the historical dramas is Empress Ki. One of Ji Chang Wook’s best in my opinion…although you may not like his character in the early episodes.

I absolutely loved Empress Ki. I believe that she loved both the king and the Emperor for different reasons. I felt that she and the emperor were friends who had fun together. Yes it was sad when he had to kill the king, but I think that even Yang understood the reason, even though she wished it did not have to be that way. I personally loved the Emperor. Yes he was annoying in the early days but it just made me laugh. He did mature and he truly adored Yang. Empress Ki is a 10+ for me.
POSSIBLE SPOILER: I can't wait either! I also loved the scene when he went into the sea, and their hug afterwards, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before (at least not so far).
I was a bit confused too.(Does the little boy look almost 5 years old?)I think it took 5 years because:1. The…
same for me. I’m 66 yrs old and can’t keep up with this all the way! Too many details. I didn’t like JKY’s hair at all. The FL is lovely. I liked how the families came together. In A deserved a big loving family. 💗
