If I recall correctly, this kiss takes place during their break up, they happen to be celebrating a battle victory and Changyu got drunk and Xie Zheng forced kissed our girl to make up. Its their reconcile kiss 🤭 not sure what episode thats gonna be though, I'm guessing maybe 20 ish

That's what annoys me about Cdrama, when the novel is HE there's always a 50/50 in the drama but if the novel has SE its pretty much guaranteed they will stick to that. 😑

Their first meeting is completely different. In the novel they meet much later when Changyu was trying to escape from the assassins/bandits. She ends up protecting Li Huai An when he got looped in the conflict with her. So far it looks like the drama is giving him a bigger role, i'm not sure if the intention is to make him a love rival that was never realized in the novel.

No in the novel he never really pursued her besides thinking of her and giving her a war manuel which he personally annotated for her (this caused quite a 🔥🔥 jealousy from Xie Zheng 🤭). But overall they don't have a lot of interaction in the novel but the author makes it obvious he likes her.

Why does it matter how much was spent on marketing? Its called show biz for a reason, honey, companies need to make money and their investment on this drama obviously paying off.
