This show was in my top 2 BLs that Iām watching right now, but that last episode was⦠not on the same level as the rest of the series.. I would have been ok with them just being close brothers because their relationship was top tier without any BL. It felt to me like things went off the rails when they started bringing the BL element into the show.. Just my opinion.. itās still a great show, of a much higher quality than 90% of BLs out there. But I had to drop my rating from a 9.5 to 8.5 based on the last couple of episodes storyline going to hell..
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I canāt stand Ponās character. I love Pon and Sailubās chemistry, (their kissing scenes are quite good) but Plawan gave me the ick in this series.. Jeff in Pit Babe was much better for me..
I was blown away by this actor as this was my first time seeing him in any drama. Hard to believe he is a newbie to acting, because there is something really special about him. Not a cringy or unnatural performance by him this while series . Really shocking that he is so young and so much better already than many of his peers. I look forward to seeing him in more lead roles in the future.. he deserves more exposure for someone so talented.. šš
I totally agree- I canāt get behind a couple with a ML who is such a horribly red flag..
Iāve loved Up in many other series, but his character is so bad in this, itās actually made me wonder if I can enjoy another series with Up as the ML or MC again..
They havenāt showed any massive character growth/ redemption arc to justify Joe forgiving/forgetting all heās done. I donāt think his character is redeemable just because he missed Joe and regrets the past choices he made.
Frankly, the idea of Joe and Ming ending up together makes me want to š¤®
I really liked this show, but recently read the manga and the story is way more fleshed out, which made the manga much better than the series, IMHO.. I really liked the actors, though.. they are all adorable and gave good performances. They did the best they could with the story they were given.
I feel the same and was so annoyed at all the unrealistic reviews romanticizing a really unhealthy, one-sided relationship..
