My opinion, don’t come at me. He has to ask and he is in too deep already( his been with for more than 6 yrs-not relationship wise)because he knows XL is interested in her( romantically or just for her blood)lol. And he already form an attachment to her. He knows he can’t really fulfill (family obligations etc) but his heart is pure. He will face many obstacles in solving his family and engagement problems. We also have XL lurking in the background lol
