Finale doneee 😌😌It was a good watch, yes a lot of flaws towards end, but gosh first half was so strong that it always makes up for it. I hope with this director, the company can trust more. I would love to see a good 2 part well written drama with him. Would also love to see a spin off with Baoer and Ning. But yeah still enjoyed the drama a lot!! Lets meet again in another good drama. My god now In realize how much more rushed it is now. The entire flashback its just runned through like some marathon I really wished they did explore the flashback story more like 2-3 full episodes in correct order from start to end. That would make it more clearer on how things happened and how it panned out. even in ep 39, xie zheng, changyu all were inside palace when capture happened how did they escape? how the army go ready? how did li huan and gongshin knew? I mean we know but the entire planning is never shown at all. Did they knew qi min was gonna rebel that day? means how? how did the princess save the maid from the palace when the mother warned her and was closely watching her? Wei xuan death was so not needed, he had no character development or nothing. Didn’t even know the entire truth and died for what? Everyone telling truth at last minute. I also heard there is no wedding and they just mention they had kids? like whatttttt? and also when did xie zheng knew qi min collided with enemies? never shown. Thats the major problem. I hope the production believes a project entirely. When you adapt a book to drama, don’t limit by episodes limit by whats good for a drama overall. Ah man so much potential to be a masterpiece of a drama but second half tho. Lets watch the finale, officially and wrap it up

One more to add, final battle between wei yen and xie zheng could have been much more better and exciting. And this whole independent women arc, was not entirely independent lot of times she was off hook as she was Marquis wife :) Yes she had her achievements but still it should been better slow and incremental rather than boom everything happened and she became super strong

I took a glimpse of ep 39, my man qi min who planned for 17 freaking years couldn’t even be the emperor for 10 mins? and it was not wven nerve wracking at all. I heard from novel fans there was dead soldiers and final fight would be so good. But bruh what was that, this was my same problem in journey to love where to wrap it they just fast forward stuff and leave so many scenes for us to assume. Contrary to blossom or nirvana where finale arc keeps you thrilled waiting for what next to happen. This comes back to again me saying this needed more eps or paced better from start. Nevertheless it was still enjoyable,
as they say you always expect better from good dramas !!

Yes agreed too, I heard there was three for this. I felt pacing was issue, like some scenes could have been cut. yes first arc could have veen within 10-12 eps then then rasing of her arc and then capital one. The middle and this could have been 15 15 each

I feel the novel was a lot they couldn’t have made it under 40 eps as we have a limit for a drama. For 2 parts easy to say, but they had no idea this will blew up so company would br reluctant at first to invest for 2 parts. As a drama ita mostly fine, yes rushed agreed. I hope they can remove this sooner or later. I feel dramas should not be limited, it should be based on what it requires

So its finally got better after the rushed ep 29 and 30, I still wished they paced it better but nevertheless. I loved the sui brothers villain characters especially Qi Min is a very strong villain in a idol period drama after so long. He is unwavered, always cautious and steadily moving towards his goal. Not some wannabe villain instead a strong good one. I wanted atleast some action in Marquis and Sui yuanlong, like man after he became can’t we get some 5 mins scene for marquis?. My thoughts regarding ML remains same, he is good but they should have given him some more importance or like major scenes. I think we will get more towards the finale. I didn’t quite like the scene where they were drinking and calling marquis live in husband, like bro he is so much ranks over you, I loved when he broke the cup. Like give him the respect, Ik he is close to you all and they are not well trained but still. I will be finishing up with ep 35. I wanna see how the capital story goes. I have seen many didn’t like princess and gongsun but I loved them, they were much open and better communicated their feelings and stood by it even though it btw there was a gap. Princess is such a sweet and helpful character and also equally strong. Just 5 more to go, howm much ever issues will still miss this drama a lot 😭😭especially all the time in village scenes
