Shen Yi is clever enough to solve the case, but dumb enough to go to criminal place all alone, without informing or even taking a freaking gun with him. It's so frustrating to watch in every episode how he repeats the same thing and Du Cheng have to save the day .... goshhhh

He has flaws . We got to see after divorce how he got into this whole loop and forgot his daughter whole at all. He changed himself after that, I would think this story revolved around Ji Yun and him being someone helping her out too, as once he went through something similar

Yesss, exactly!! He isn't perfect, we saw how he ignored his own daughter due to work, but took a decision to change himself and his life.

I think the new building symbolises she is now close with her colleagues, she sits with them together not in separate room, portraying how she has changed and her dynamics with her employees have changed. There was a conversation, where he asked her if she would get upset if he got a girlfriend, for which she says she is a grown up. Ig that adds to the point

Yep this could be renewed as a good slice of life drama, with more cases that would be interetsing to see

Finally a drama where characters are like acting like proper ADULTS !!! and true to their characters. I love the second leads, even though both knew, they respectfully took a back step and still maintained the friendship that they had. Even though the trope in ep 11 is my least fav, but it was handled so well here !! Yes it was unfortunate, but it was no one's fault over here. Accepting that and living in reality is much better. OMG I couldn't believe due to number of traumas Kdrama writers gave us in past. But so happy this drama did it. Love how it is 12 eps, i want more of them 🥺🥺🥺, I could just watch them living their life for 4 more eps, greedy of me. easily this is a one of best dramas of 2025 already for me

That's why he said the investment didn't go well, after all everyone makes decisions thinking it will work. Ji Yun didn't have anyone to rely on, and he must have thought he can get under his control. But it didn't work, hence he is discarding her.
