And stories aimed at young men is not mutually exclusive from traditional family routes like Naruto or the ending of Demon Slayer. Not so sure sacrificising oneself is a sign of letting go of grief, FZ would have wanted TLC be happy surrounded by people who care about him & would have been racked with guilt with TLC sacrificising himself. But all this character relationship & development people invested their time was erased by the time travel plot device

An interesting fact is that there are 31 million more men in China, an entire population larger than some nations who will never have a traditional family. Perhaps the nihilistic message of sacrificising is for them.

The drama's weakness is that its slow paced, and the forced use of unnecessary miscommunication trope that could have avoided much the slaughter. People declare LY loves TLC but if he really loved him then he wouldnt immediately believe TLC killed FZ but instead ask for clarification. The use of time travel plot device was lazy, in one timeline no villains where punished for mass slaughter but in the next timeline everyone is happy. Whats the message, that a good person must be sacrificed and die which is the classic trolley problem. The story is aimed at young men, so it would have been ideal for them to see TLC have a happy ending surrounded with his friends, married and starting a family, just like a picture the young boy drew of him, TLC and A'Shie. It just felt nihilistic.

Quite sure they wrote the core story is annoying and highlighted the bloated storytelling which they are entitled to share

People are allowed to whine about their ships, who are you to dictate and police what people are complaining, especially if they are baited and lured for views using CP promotion?

I dont care if you find her boring nor am I forcing you to like her nor am I a Jelly fan. Quite frankly, the entire FZ flashbacks were incredibly boring in repeatitiveness and LY storyline based on forced miscommunication is so laughable. No one is also obligated to fawn over boring BL subtext ships. The use of timetravel plot device is lazy. LY genocided and slaughtered innocent people, suddenly a new timeline is created where TLC never existed. The audience never saw LY and other villains get punished but only live happily in the next timeline. So the message is good people need to die and sacrifice.

My favourite top Cdrama is Nirvan in Fire. So you are the one generalising people and putting everyone in the box as "you hetero CP fans". So in order to be a true fan of Luo Yunxi all criticism of this poorly written dramas which the moderator of reddit Cdrama also shares, should just be dismissed as "this isn't romance".

Tang Lici and A'Shie popularity showed that many people were invested in their journey together which drew them in to watch WoF. Better writers would have provided a satisfying and respectful ending for all.

The BL lovers are so threatened & insufferable criticising traditional feminity of kindness & gentleness A'shie embodies by calling her "useless"

Seems like MangoTV panicked that their male centric, BL subtext series needed to use CP romance to bait & trick romance viewers into tuning into WoF. Luo Yunxi deserves better fans than the ones who drive his fans from Ashes of Love & TTEOTM away from his future work

The vitroil against Ashie calling her useless was illogical and untrue. As some seem to view traditional feminity as weak. Its so strange for them to imply that Migu is hoarding & hiding WoF viewing numbers so it must be successful. But if it was very high and successful WHY would Migu hide it? Its more logical for Migu to publicly declare the numbers

Again Yunhe and Douban ratings are preferable than the implied claims that Migu is hiding the true numbers of WoF so its actually successful in number of views. So should Strange Tales 44M daily views be disregarded because it came from third party Yunhe?

WoF is a poorly written drama which is reflected in its 5.7 Douban score

Douban and Yunhe are industry wide accepted so they are more concrete than your claims

You seem triggered by the numbers. The data metrics are good enough and accepted by the domestic industry and for other dramas but not good enough for you as it does not conform or support.your narrative

I will watch and recommend to others a romance centric Luo Yunxi and Jelly Lin drama but will definitely avoid the male centric Shadow Punisher as it will most likely have BL subtext and its horrible sharing fan spaces with some BL fans

The douban rating is only 5.7 based on 31K ratings.

And its only pulled 14.97 million views on 14 Nov according to Yunhe so its quite puzzling when others on this forum declare the domestic audience are happy with WoF

You are right, Luo Yunxi fans from Ashes of Love and Till End of the Moon should not watch and completely avoid any upcoming series of his that is male centric and have no romance.
