I've been watching kdramas for quite a long time and I know the actor Bae Hyun Sung from the drama Our Blues and Dear M but I didn't know he was that good. I didn't find him exceptional in Dear M. I have the impression since Gyeongseong S2 and now with Family By Choice his career is going to take a huge turn. One thing's for sure: from now on, he'll only play leading roles.
The time gap felt unrealistic. It would be way better with 5/6 years though. As the time passed shown in the drama,…
Exactly, that's the first thing I felt too. 10 years apart for 0 changes apart from Ju Won's father's moustache. The colors for Hae Jun, Juwon. Otherwise there are 0 changes, and that's often the case in kdramas where there are jumps in time but 0 major changes.
The captian's family knows Tae Sang from the 1940s, they are from the same neighborhood as the grandmother and…
I'd completely forgotten this detail. It's true Seung Jo is the son of the woman who gave birth in the cell at the end of season 1. Thank you, I remember now.
I find the episodes far too short, episode 10 wasn't even 1 hour long. In the teaser for the next episodes, we can clearly see Haejun's mother talking to Juwon's father. I think we're heading in the same direction as in the Cdrama, i.e. a couple to be expected between the two.
Episode 9 was super sad and we heard it again: Beyond The Sunrise, it's the greatest OST. I don't know who sings it, I've tried everything, it's impossible to know.
I honestly need more drama like this where we have almost only women in the cast, like damn the way I'm enjoying…
The cast is really incredible too, and even with this cast. Kim Tae Ri is legendary compared to the others who are just as good. Otherwise, there's another drama coming soon, set in 2025, with all women, and featuring Lee Hyeri and Kang Hyewon. It's called Friendly Rivalry.
Do you think the grandparent couple will stay until the end or will they die? I have a feeling they won't make it to the end. I'll be disgusted, to be honest, because they're the funniest, especially the grandfather.
Thank you, we agree that both look far too plastic. Just that the Iron Family one has more of a glass skin makeup effect than the other. Which, by the way, is very noticeable, as it's super shiny on screen.
First episode finished: what can I say? I'm still pretty mixed, it's still early days even if I don't necessarily like the plot. It was a pleasure to see Queen Sejeong again! I think she and Lee Jong Won are a perfect match after all, I hate dramas where they give us the Strong Woman who does completely crazy things like smashing 40 people's heads in etc... Here the scene where Sejeong does cartwheels with the motorcycle really made me shiver with embarrassment. I hope it won't be abused throughout the drama. I didn't know the actress Shin Do Hyun and the actor Baek Sung Chul. If anyone knows them, are they good? Do they play well? What well-known dramas have they done? Thanks for your answers!
Am I the only one to think that the ML's mother bears a striking resemblance to actress Hwang Jung Eum? I really can't get her, by the way. The two of them consistently have the same roles. That is, crying and screaming h24.

I hope the Beyond the Sunrise OST will be released
