That's it, after 12 episodes. The kdrama "Jeongnyeon, The Star is Born" is over. What did I think, honestly?
I found this drama very promising, as it was the first time we'd seen this kind of concept, and the cast was magnificent. However, it's clear that the kdrama is meant to last 16 episodes, not 12, so there was still a lot to explore. Let's move on to the finale! I half enjoyed this finale, in the sense that, on the one hand, so much the better, the title of the drama is finally justified, but, on the other hand, they seemed obliged not to show us Jeongnyeon's performance during the auditions. I don't get it? Was it to save time or to keep the episode short? I was quite disappointed not to see Ok Gyeong and Joo Ran in this last episode. I don't know what they wanted to do with Ok Gyeong's character, especially since she brought Jeongnyeon back to Maeran. Not seeing her in the audience on that last show? I guess the actress couldn't go on with the rest, so they had to invent something to get her out of the kdrama.
I won't go on too long, what I've written is already long enough lmaooo. Honestly, I'm frustrated, it lacks a few things. It's such a shame we got 0 kissing scenes. It would have made the drama so beautiful. I was also right in my theories that Jeongnyeon's mother was going to attend a show at the end of the kdrama. By the way, I don't mean to be bitter about the show, but I honestly didn't find it spectacular. I much preferred the one with Ok Gyeong and Hye Rang. Now I think it lasted too long for the episode. It's so lacking a final conversation between Jeongnyeon and his mother. There's a lot of frustrating stuff that I can't say because it would take too long. Honestly, the most frustrating thing is that Jeongnyeon and Joo Ran didn't end up together......
That's it for me, I still enjoyed the drama and give it an 8/10.
I'm afraid the "Beyond The Sunrise" OST is for the last two episodes on 15 and 16. Normally we'll get an OST from the 3 main actors, if that happens. So we must have 2 or 3 OSTs left. Either Beyond The Sunrise comes out on Wednesday and they put the trio's OST last, or Beyond The Sunrise comes out next Wednesday. Honestly, I can't recognize the voice, but there's a good chance it's V, the way the OST is teased. I remind you that we've been hearing it since the 1st episode, so there's no way it's just some random guy singing OSTs, it's a big name change for sure. Except that I can't recognize V's voice.
How did Hwang In Youp become so whitewashed? I watched extracts from the drama 18 again de 2020 and he was as white as ever. Unless it's JTBC putting a whitening filter on the actors but it's weird we don't get the impression that the two ahjussi are whitened.
I saw a very interesting comment that the drama was not at its greatest potential and I agree 100%. I think the ending was rushed because 12 episodes is so short that at some point you have to speed things up to make it look like a webtoon. Honestly, I think Kim Tae Ri has a big part to play in the drama's audience and that without her or with another actress in her place, the kdrama would never have had the same audience. The drama will surely end up with an overall rating of 8.2-8.5 grand max, I can't think of anything more honest. Now do I think we'll get a happy ending or a sad ending? I rather think we'll end up with a happy ending of a final show between Yeongso and Jeongnyeon to much applause. I really don't see this kdrama ending with a sad ending.
The farewell scene between Joo Ran and Jeongnyeon was so sad that I shed a tear. I was expecting a kiss from them, too bad. That's tomorrow, and that's the end of this beautiful kdrama, which is quite short and which I found a bit rushed at the end.
Damn, the actress Lee You Mi seemed unknown to me, even though I saw her in Squid Game and All Of Us Are Dead, but I didn't recognize her here. She was already so cute in Squid Game. Seeing her with Woo Do Hwan was just gorgeous.
I've just finished the kdrama. At first I didn't want to watch because of the spoilers, but I'm glad I watched this wonderful kdrama. I fucking wept. Woo Do Hwan, Lee You Mi I love you so much. It was so beautiful from start to finish. Just beautiful as a drama. Eo Heunf's persona was so funny too.
The home stretch. If he Please give us a happy ending. We want kisses, slaps in the face to Hye Rang, Yeong So's mother. A good ending that makes us cry. Just this
This is so good. Even better than The Worst of Evil. Both BiBi and JCW are killing it. I want them together in…
No, for the moment The Worst Of Evil remains superior. The duo of Ji Chang Wook and Wi Ha Joon is just introl'able. The scenes where they smoke, their flow is just incredible. One of the best kdramas I've seen.
Fucking sick episodes. I never thought Jun Seo would kill himself. Now let's talk about the chemistry between Ji Chang Wook and Bibi. Ever since Worst of Evil, I get chills watching them. They're so good.
Episode 4 seen and honestly there's a good chance I'll stop it. We're on a kdrama that's not going to be the sensational kdrama we'll remember or talk about again. No, this is and will remain a mid-range kdrama that will plateau at around 7.7-8.2 max, and even then I can see the score maybe never reaching 8.
Who's the makeup artist that got the female character faces looking white as snow whilst their neck's are sand…
Yes, I noticed that too. It was just horrible on HaeJun's aunt. The mismatch between the face and the blow. You get the impression it's not even make-up but just toned sunscreen. I have some and when I put it on I look like Haejun's aunt. A white/purple filter

My favorite ost of the kdrama is so beautiful.
