Doctor X was a really fun medical drama. I enjoyed the cast, the medical cases, and seeing the surgeries actually being performed and explained. It reminded me of Iryu: Team Medical Dragon at times, which is a huge plus.
The star of the show is Yonekura Ryoko as Dr. Michiko Daimon. She was fantastic in this role. Dr. X is incredibly skilled, brutally honest, and refuses to play by the hospital's rules. Her arrogance could be a bit much, but she was always entertaining to watch. I also liked that we got to see a softer side in episode 6. Her dynamic with Dr. Kaji was one of the highlights for me, especially since he started out as one of my least favorite characters before showing some growth later on.
What I liked most about Dr. X was that she never backed down or compromised just to keep other people happy. While everyone else was caught up in hospital politics, she stayed focused on her patients and did things her own way. I'm looking forward to Season 2.
