I 100% agree with Chai An. Like he said Kanning is not marrying his mother so even if his mother is a snob he never looked down on her. (Of course I'm looking at this with the new millium eyes) But Ms. Li is so uncouth and hard to take but again not marrying her. I am glad he told her he was happy for her and that he was letting her go b/c Du is a good macth and he is kind.

Asuka pissed me off this ep and yes I get that she is going through a shit ton and still grieving but why would she trust anything her brother had to say especially since he wasn't even trying to be fake nice to her either. Nice ep to end the series and have a happy ending not that it was necessary for me to enjoy. It was also nice seeing the kitchen staff in 2025!

What I hate about these shows or the scripts is that they already were suspecting Consort Kang yet no one stood watch while he first maid was in jail???? Also, if she rewrites the King history doesn’t she rewrite all of Korean history??

Again the food elements are what elevate this show. I loved too how the cooks just wanted to be judged fairly based on the food and not that idiot envoy lowballing. The King’s younger brother was adorable too bad that stupid harlot poisoned him!!

Excellent first ep

I am usually not a fan of these time travel dramas but this 1st episode was some of the funniest TV I have seen all year. When Ji Yeong was telling the King she knew Tae Kwan Do I died. The back and forth between the 2 was hilarious the entire ep.

Really good 1st ep. What a horrible man Asuka's father is. I literally was like the only way to kill him is to destroy his ass in Shogi and that's how the plan starts. I'm super excited for this. The prebviews were great!
