there are third parties that try to insert themselves and make ml and fl feel insecure. (ml's coworker and fl's old crush) but it didn't drag for whole drama, each were resolved in 3 or 4 episodes.

Idk if I should call it love triangle, he was her crush back in the days, but fl had moved on from him.

the scene where GuWei was awkwardly comforting her, they did't yet know what life has for them but that I feel was one of the steps that showed GuWei's care for her.

can someone answer my questions in the most spoiler free way possible?
1. why do I see others asking for season 2? does it end on cliffhanger?
2. how bloody is it from 1 to 10? (I had to drop Strangers from hell cause it was too much for me)

I think it's a good one to dive in Jdramas, the acting, specially the leads, is good.
I recommend watching the first 2 eps to decide if you'd like it or not.

I watched first 2 episodes, I like it so far, the pacing is good and there isn't much overacting like we usually see in jdramas.

ml had a big setback in his career and since he became uncertain of his future, when they had arranged to meet fl parents, he couldn't promise about future. when fl found out what happened (she was mad at him for not telling her), she broke up with him.
It was mostly communication issues between them.

content is same, only difference is episode duration which made the tv version be 32ep (shorter eps) and online version 29 ep (longer eps). but when you start watching, stick to one of them.

because we already had that Qixi festival short interview on August 25th in 2020 which was shot in same outfits of ool interviews, means tencent might have been ready to air it but Hunantv kept pushing it back.
(reason I mentioned hihw drama was that it aired on tv with no problem, and he wasn't on haitus, we now know he was getting ready for "A Dream Like A Dream" theater play since 2020 and did the dubbing for DC then, as well as several other stuff that were as well done then).

I keep coming back to this drama, one of the things I like in this drama is how we can see they gradually get attracted to each other and fall in love as they get to know each other.

he was in the drama "heroes in harms way" which was filmed and aired in 2020 (even if he was in only 2 episodes) and it aired on CCTV8 channel, so saying ool didn't air because of xz isn't really correct, It was mostly HunanTV pushing it back every time.

Lee Joon Gi's role had his lawless lawyer vibe to it at the start, I'm not complaining though, ,I like this so far.

if I remember correctly there was a drama he had a cameo in, but due to travel restrictions and busy schedule he couldn't go for reshoot of scenes so ended up not shown in that drama. (if I'm not mistaken they wanted to reshoot because there were leaks) ,I forgot the drama name.

tv version has 32 episodes because its episodes were shorter, the web version (dvd version) is 29 episodes.
tencent yt has posted the 32 ep tv version in yt as well.
content is same so if you don't switch between them while watching, you won't be missing anything. (tv version doesn't have opening credits though, the opening song is beautiful).
