in this comment, happy end I meant for ace troops, fl dad didn't die there as far as I remember.
for ool happy ending, meant that leads get together eventually, her dad's cancer will get worse again and he dies in the end (drama doesn't show his death but in last episode it is said he died).

yes, it has happy ending (a little depends on perspective but I count it as happy one for each or should I say it turned out to be unexpectedly satisfying ending for each character).
there are ups and downs and unexpected circumstances through out though.

did you try Ace Troops? romance isn't the focus of the drama but still GuYiye (Xiao Zhan's role) had relationships through out the drama and his life journey was interesting. and one thing for sure is his acting was improved a lot since it was filmed in late 2020. (ool was filmed in 2019)

hi, I want to watch this drama, but I just saw that there will be a sequel in drama description here, does it mean this season might end unfinished? when will they air 2nd season? is there any official info about it?
(I'm asking before I start watching in case I should wait and watch it when 2nd season is out, since I prefer not waiting for a second season to be made for long time)

they get together in ep16 dvd version, ep 18 tv version.
there is a short break up after that but it won't last long.

he has great potential although he has already proven he can become better in each project.
he has a costume drama coming this year, 'the longest promise' to look forward to.

there are 2 versions of the drama, tv version is 32 episodes, dvd version is 29 episodes.
only difference is episodes duration. content is same.

fluffy, the leads were great and they have so many sweet moments.

it could be enjoyable for some and boring for another, it's ok though, it might just not be the type you would enjoy.
personally I recommend giving it a shot for few more episodes or you can drop it, it's your choice.
I'm not the kind who would watch romance dramas and I have dropped so many of them, but this one kept me going, it's pacing and story was great for me to the point I'm rewatching it although I have watched it recently.

you can watch it on wetv app or tencent YT, not all episodes are out yet for free though. idk if it's region restricted or not.

those saying episode 16 meant the dvd version, for tv version it's on ep18.

hi, content is same in both version, only duration of each episodes are different.
you won't be missing anything while watching either of them. but when you get started, don't switch between them because episodes end on different parts of story and you might get confused.
I watched tv version while it was on air and rewatching it in dvd version.

Oath of love was one of the most satisfying romance dramas I have ever watched!! It's been a long time since a drama could make me laugh, cry and feel many emotions and root for the characters...
I will definitely re-watch it many times more!

ah yes I agree that their personality don't match, what GuWei meant was their life style, and tbh it felt like they are still coworkers even at home if they got together.
