Excited to see Pond and Phuwin together after Fish Upon the Sky (not terrible but wasn’t great). I thought it was a good solid first episode.
What in the Batman world was that scene with the dad dying? I expected Phuwin to train with bats and make his own weapons in his secret lair with Robin- I mean Palm.
Speaking of Palm. DAUYM DAUYM DAUYM. My boy Pond came and SLAYYYYEDDDD. That jawline. I’m DED. His looks are no joke. Gorgeous!!
Mama in this series is FIERCE. Loving her already. Gucci uncle is creepy but whatever.
I know it doesn’t make sense for this fisherman to be his undercover bodyguard but think about it, he’s a teenager with no friends and no one he trusts. Mama can’t be having a bunch of dudes dressed like KinnPorshe walking around monitoring him. She needs someone who can blend in and be his confidant. I’m sure Palm’s got mad survival skills. His jawline is sharp enough to slice the enemies.
I also hate watching bl trope of them hitting one another. When has that ever been ok in any relationships? Too…
Honestly, I also felt like Tharn should’ve been in a different BL with someone better. Type was just a bitchy queen. Mew is so good looking, too. Imagine him with someone else in a different universe treated like a king.

Friend, I think you are definitely overly nitpicking here. We are not expecting Oscars worthy performances. However, we must praise where praises are deserved. Pherm’s acting in episode was phenomenal for his range. His tears and sobs felt natural. He didn’t try to look pretty while doing it but engulfed himself in it. Compared to SO many other BL actors, he’s done an amazing job. Compared to his older works, he’s improved tremendously. Let’s be positive.
I laughed out loud at your comment regarding Bboun’s acting. Really? Everyone expresses their emotions differently. He screamed and yelled because that was how he reacted to seeing someone he loves almost dying. He was angry, frustrated and overwhelmed with fear. We don’t always talk calmly or cry when we have these emotions. The tears DID NOT come out of nowhere. They built up so much to this scene. Team has been traumatized by his friend’s death and trying to face his fear of swimming. It has been built since the beginning. Win has been suppressing his love for Team and trying not to get attached but seeing him almost die scared the shit out of him. It further adds to his overwhelming emotions.
This scene was done beautifully. I’ve seen so many shallow Bls that I can definitely appreciate this one.
I’ve noticed that all of your comments have been very negative and nitpicking at almost every little thing in this series. I’m curious why you continue watching if it’s obvious it’s not your cup of tea?

Agreed 💯. Idk why in Bl series, they often normalize physical assault as “playful” or acceptable. In Tharntype (I couldn’t continue watching) it was constant. If you look at a heterosexual couple, no way that would be romanticized.
