Listen. I enjoyed this. I did. Solid 8/10. BUT. And it’s a pretty big BUT:
- The violent antics of the 5th sister while refreshing at first quickly became juvenile, repetitive and without any growth we were hoping for.
- I don’t find the resort to berating their husbands funny. Maybe if it’s one sister, I could tolerate but for 3 sisters to treat their men like obedient puppies? No thanks.
- the way they kept throwing divorce around so casually, over and over. What was the point of all the work towards marriage then?! Literally planned a remarriage right away after one hardship. Wtf
- I loved all the scenes with the sisters talking, bonding and helping each other. I loved the Brother In Laws alliance. I loved the mother. I don’t love the repetitive storylines of all the awful in laws. Really? Not one decent family?
The 5th couple was going to be my endgame but they did my boy YX wrong. She doesn’t deserve him. He had the most character development and none of it mattered.
Seriously. Why is YX so oddly cute to me? I hated him at the beginning but he’s getting more and more interesting. Maybe it’s because the enemy to lover trope is much more interesting to watch. Maybe it’s because we are all waiting for him to reform. I also love how her mama treats him so well. A mama knows. She knows he’s been mistreated and lacks love.
So far.. I’m enjoying it. The chaos that has been unleashed on the 5th couple 😂😂
I’m a bit annoyed at the casual mentions of divorce. I hate that they keep throwing it around with the couples. However, we all knew divorce was not happening.
- GORGEOUS LEADS. Song Wei Long in braids does stuff to me - Whoever dubbed Angelababy is the GOAT. I love the sexy, sultry low voice. - The costume designer really SLAYYYED bc the costumes are STUNNING - Smart ML and FL: I love a good enemies to lovers trope and this one moved fast! We got confession and bedroom boom boom all within 15 eps! Get it!!! - I love that their misunderstandings are resolved quickly so we don’t get dragged out angst (hopefully it continues this way) - The males in here are all just gorgeous. - The females are annoying but eh, we can just skip skip skip
If they give us another non BL but BL like High School Frenemy, I don’t mind at all. Their bromance there was…
I haven’t seen either. I’m not a fan of Japanese BL and I heard the Yin War series was alright. I can’t invest as much as I did before on series so I’m in a slump.

I’ve been to venturing down the Kdramas and Cdramas rabbit holes instead of the BL holes for a while now. I’ll pop in once in a while when something interests me but not much has kept my interest.
I ran over to check out Thampo… and Idk… I typically avoid series with one lead being a pop star/idol/singer. I’ve only seen Lovely Runner with this concept but only because it involved time traveling.
Never mind...thought this was a BL - LOL - have fun & enjoy this y'all...I'll be over here just crying in my cheerios...
If they give us another non BL but BL like High School Frenemy, I don’t mind at all. Their bromance there was more romantic than most trash BLs. Also, HIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we figured out what the whispering was about… and it was indeed disappointing.
The punishment he decided to endure was pointless. The love confession in the middle of the supposed war zone was ridiculous. The de-virginization in front of the sunset was cringey. Let’s be real, second couple was more interesting.

So .. 4th couple is my favorite.

That’s true. The pink dress was underwhelming compared to her other ones.

Song Wei Long has always been gorgeous but in this costume…. DAMN. He’s stunning.

What else do you recommend????
The flirts and endless confessions got me deceased. You KNOW they about to risk it all in college. Now, make that sequel GMMT!
Y’all know that confession in the rain in the last episode served more than that infamous high five iykyk.
